We are a mobile in home pet service which comes to your home to provide cats and dogs with care. We offer in home Bathing, nails trims, ear cleaning, shaving and dematting, ear flushing, anal gland expressions, pet sitting or taxi and much more.

Business Owner

We are two animal lovers who have extensive backgrounds as kennel technicians, veterinarian assistants and assistant technicians. Seeing the anxiety traveling caused pets and owners we found at-​home animal care is far less stressful, and is much easier than a trip to the local vet or groomer. Both of us started in the pet supply field where we gained knowledge in animal supplies and learned what works and what doesn’t. From there we moved on to the veterinary field working in animal clinics and hospitals where we gained skills in basic animal care and maintenance. We also worked in animal grooming, emergency care and the recovery process. Our passion for animals only grows with each piece of knowledge we gain, and every animal and owner we help.

Nick and Kara are so awesome. They do such a great job and are always so kind. My boy does not like when anyone touches his feet and when they cut his paw hair they handle him so well and always get the job done! Super great couple who do amazing work, you won’t regret calling them! Thanks for always making Oy look so handsome!

Super responsive (I emailed, and received a response right away, along with a confirmation once we scheduled). They were right on time (even a bit early, despite the rain!), and were super friendly, loving with our cat, understanding, informative, professional, and patient with my kids who wanted to tell them every detail of everything that has ever happened in their lives. Our cat was very comfortable with them, and was in a super happy, playful mood afterward. I also love their payment options, making it as easy as possible all around.
We are beyond thrilled to have found Nails and Tails! No more traumatic attempts to groom at home, or car rides to the vet to tackle it, as our cat isn’t a fan of car rides or waiting rooms full of doggies. We’ll definitely be clients from now on.

I am beyond thrilled to be a customer of Nails & Tails! My Lil pomeranian Alvin has a triple coat and daily brushing does not cut it! After an hour my Lil furball has been transformed into a mighty Lil lion! Love the quality of his cut and am beyond grateful for the patience, care, and love put into his grooming! Really appreciated that they offer square so I could pay with card, and how prompt they were when I texted to confirm appointment! These guys are professionals and animal lovers! They are wonderful! We have an elderly kitty going through renal failure. He is not a cat that likes to be held (he tends to provide or demand attention on his own terms), so the idea of having him groomed at home made more sense. We hate taking him in his carrier the vet to be groomed, it is so stressful for him and us. I originally contacted them via email and they happily answered all of my questions. Kara and Nick arrived at the scheduled time and were very friendly. They were so gentle, our kitty barely fussed. He looks so much better and I am certain that he feels so much more comfortable. The appointment was fast but not rushed. The grooming equipment was very clean and they collected off my kitty’s fur after they finished. I could hardly tell that they had been here! The price was comparable to other groomers, $ 75.00 for a lion cut and a nail trim. Tip them well! I am so glad we found them :)

Great service! Kara and Nick did a great job grooming my 15 year old maltese. They were so gentle with my pup that she didn’t realize she was being groomed for the first half of their visit. The price was reasonable for an in-​home visit and Kara and Nick were friendly and professional. So excited to have finally found groomers that I trust with my old dog and even more excited that they come to me!

Two Nails and Tail employees arrived on time, gently scooped up my cat held her in a safe position put a towel under her and clipped her nails within about 5 minutes without any trauma to the cat. I paid them a reasonable fee and they took the towel and nail clippings and left. If the cat could talk she might say, «what just happened here?» I will use them again and will recommend them.

I LOVE Nails and Tails!
When I emailed Kara and Nick to tell/​warn them about my extremely fussy senior Pomeranian with a herniated disc, their response was that they would take special care of him. And they did! He looked beautiful and they were so nice-​even left my tiny bathroom completely clean! One can tell they really love animals and are extremely skilled. I was so happy with their service, that later I asked them if they’d be willing to do two cats and two more dogs-​all in the same visit! They were super accommodating and left my beasts (three of which are seniors) happy and looking great! I can’t say enough good things about Nails and Tails! It is such a relief to know my babies don’t have to leave their home to get a great bath haircut and nail trim!

Two paws up, a meow, & a purr! My 14 yr. old Maine coon had never been to a groomer; the vet would cut out the mats & myself, till I cut his skin thinking it was the mat. :(Sorry Spike! I called Nick & Kara due to their impressive 5 star cat Unilocal reviews. They came, were very kind & gentle giving him a lion cut no mess was left behind as well. I found him lounging in the patio; he ran to me and started rubbing his head on my feet for 5 minutes in gratitude! He was telling me he felt great & looked fabulous!!! I thought he’d give me the cold shoulder for a week. No — he felt 100% better; Nick and Kara took his first time grooming stress away with their professional, caring demeanors. If your cat has mats, they are uncomfortable and will love you giving them a Tails & Nails spa day! Don’t hesitate to call them, my cat really appreciated his matting relief & his new fashion statement.

I came upon the reviews for Nails and Tails, and decided to give them a try. My cat Christabelle, was in DIRE need of a haircut, as well as needed an ingrown nail treated. Kara and Nick were right on time. Christabelle is usually horrible when it comes to grooming and I have received more than my share of stripes in my lame attempts to keep her long coat brushed and thinned out. However, Nick and Kara handled her extremely well and she was actually very good during her lion cut and nail trim (though she is punishing me now). They also trimmed my 13 year old Snowshoe’s nails and did it without a battle (also highly unusual). The cost was more than reasonable, especially for an in-​home visit and much less stressful for the cats.
I will definitely use Nick and Kara again! I highly recommend them.

I can’t say enough on how great Nick and Kara are and how amazing they are with animals. My 2 cats are comfortable with them and let them do their thing. Every year I get them shaved with a lion’s cut and they are always happy after.

I love these guys! I have a fat, fluffy, polydactyl Maine-​coon mix, so she surely has some grooming needs (it is NOT pleasant to cut those extra claws, especially on such a fussy, rotund animal.) Nick and Kara are wonderful with her. They also offer pet-​sitting services with reasonable rates and fantastic care. I’ve had to call them on short notice before and they were able to help without any problems. Very pleasant people who clearly care very much about animals.

After my cat Samantha got her paws caught in a window last year, she has been very reluctant to have me trim her nails (I was in the room and I think she blamed me for the accident.)
I have been afraid to cut her nails since, because of the trauma she gets pretty squirmy and unhappy, and I don’t want to accidentally harm her.
They came and handled my cat with great care, and cut her nails for a fair price in three (!!!) minutes. Sammy meowed a bit and complained, but it was over before I knew it. She happily accepted treats afterwards and went back to her normal self.
I am so happy I’ve found a solution to getting her nails clipped! Will DEFINITELY be using again.

Nick is great!
He came to my rescue when I was stuck with out any transportation to bring the cats and dogs in my care from the Vet. His attitude was positive and upbeat and he came through for My Darling Theo Foundation! I would highly recommend Nails and Tails!

I called nails and tails on a recommendation from someone in a facebook group I belong to. I’m glad I did. I’m a first time dog owner, on a budget, and I didn’t want to take my dog to the groomer for what seemed like an easy enough job (though I can’t do it myself). I don’t think my pup had ever had her nails trimmed before but these guys were professional, quick and efficient – it was over in 5 minutes and my dog is no worse for the wear (in fact, now she can’t scratch me when she goes crazy before a walk). They are also quite affordable, but my only tip – for them to carry change so they can work with cash, even on the first appointment of the day – I spent a little more than I was expecting to because I didn’t have exact change and as I’ve said, I’m on a budget. Otherwise, I will be calling them back for nail trimmings and probably bathing, too!

Man oh man — what an awesome experience! We have a 5-​year old Abby/​blue mix and he is too feisty for us to do the nail trimming. I hated to drag his poor fanny to the vet every month — he hates it, we hate it, the vet hates it! So today a white horse arrived at our door with Nick & Kara. They were done in 5 minutes and all the while kitty was purring having bonded immediately. Amazing… thanks guys — see you next month!

Kara and Nicholas are so awesome! I am always so worried about getting my cats nailed trimmed — taking them to the vet is a nightmare! But yesterday, I called Nails and Tails and today Kara and Nicholas came over and cut both of my cats nails in under five minutes. In and out — painless for both the cats and for their owners :)
They now have a new loyal customer — I have already recommended them to a friend!

Kara and Nick provide such a great service! They left, not too long ago, after cutting both of my cats’ nails. They arrived a few minutes before my appointment and they were both really friendly.
My cats have only had their nails cut a couple of times and get stressed out when I have had to take them to get groomed. Kara and Nick handled both of my cats very well and were very quick. I will definitely keep using their services!
