Joel G.

Manager

Joel Gordon is our store manager and a familiar face to many. Joel has been in the dry cleaning industry ever since his father operated the dry cleaning facility on Travis Air Force Base back in the 1950’s. Joel has owned and managed cleaners all over the country and has chosen to settle here in Alameda and become a part of our family. When Joel is not busy removing stubborn stains from your clothes or making you laugh at the front counter he is probably fishing somewhere in Alameda hoping to catch the next big one.

Took in my brand new uggs to get cleaned because they had little stains. Picked them up a week later and they were completely ruined, they had tinkles all over them and they shrunk.

After this incident, management contacted me and notified me of changes that they made in order to better future experiences. It seems that customer experience is important and because of the time and effort that Bob put in to change things, i wanted to write a review to update my last experience with the company. He did make some major decisions and it only felt fair to acknowledge it and update my review. I would say that I’d be willing to return but 3 stars for the hassle and undesirable experience the first time.

Like the other review says, they have very prompt service and very friendly staff, which I will give a star for. However my latest experience with this dry cleaner is a very upset one. I brought in 4 pieces of garments (three dresses and one jacket) and provided the 20% off card. They put the four pieces on the pick up slip. When I come to pick up today, i found out that they take the hood of the jacket off and charged it as a regular piece. When I asked before check-​out, the lady told me next time to get the quote first and quickly threw my slip with the four-​piece note into the garbage, ignoring my complaint and argument. My four pieces dry cleaning costs over $ 40 (discount inc.) in the end. So basically the 20% off card is just a bait to get you in — they will charge extra later to make up for that.

I just had my first Martinizing Alameda experience and it was nothing short of 5 stars. It was a quick and painless process to gather my information and email address at my first visit to drop off my clothes. My expectations were exceeded when I received an email less than 24 hours later notifying me that my order was ready! I will happily go back again. They have won my business.

I’ve used this place for so many years and remain very pleased with the service. I especially love their e-​mail notification service and how much sooner you can pick up your clothes than they project when you first drop them off.
It’s always such a pleasant surprise to get an e-​mail alert 2 days earlier than estimated, advising that your clothes are indeed ready for pick-​up…
And this place wouldn’t be the same without the amazing Carmen who has been for so many of us long-​term customers, such a warm, lovely and professional presence. She’s knowledgeable, she’s patient, and she always remembers her customers by name!

The staff here are awesome.
Fatima is friendly, awesome and quick — always with a smile.
June is on top of everything. She makes sure the place runs like a well oiled machine. She notices everything happening around her. Once I needed two shirts for a trip and I was able to get them back so quick to pack away for my trip.
Also, a huge strength is the seamstress. She’s hemmed so many of my pants and made alterations in my shirts. Everything comes back awesome. Her skills and abilities are top notch.
This places does get crowded at times, but staff are fast and friendly.

I have been going to this cleaner for over 8 years now and I’m just as satisfied as the first day I found this place. Betty, Karen & Pam are some of the sweetest and provide the best customer service ever. Never had any missing garments and the quality of my laundry is top notch everytime.

I have been coming to this dry cleaners for over 25 years. They are very reliable and convenient. In recent years we owe our loyalty to Carmen who is always so efficient and thoughtful. She always smiles and asks about our two (now grown) sons while quickly handling our dry cleaning.
The only problem I have had here is sometimes they put too much starch in my shirts even though I always say «no starch». Otherwise they are great.

I recently took two suits to get sized and i have to say i was blown away again!
Freda helped me and made me feel right at home. She was very fast and knew what she was doing. She is awesome and does a very good job.

I have to say that this is one of the best dry cleaners I’ve been to, as soon as I walk in I feel welcome always get greeted. I like how is open late and also open on Sunday I was really satisfied by Griselda’s service very friendly and helpful.

It was my first time going to the dry cleaners i normally just wash clothes but this particular clothing needed dry cleaning and it was this really nice lady there by the name of Griselda Flores who really helped me, she was smiling and her customer service was through the roof really good and polite. I will definitely go back there.

I recently dropped off a long black dress for an alteration at Martinizing Delivery’s Alameda location. After picking it up, it still drags on the floor at the same length as when I brought it in. It appears that it still has the original hem & was not altered at all, even though the store emailed me that the dress was ready & I have already paid $ 14 for the alteration.

I used them for a while and had to send some items back for touch ups. I held on because it was convenient. however, I was really frustrated when they ruined two of my dresses (one was my favorite work dress) and I had to call a few times to follow up on trying to fix the issue they created. They were work dresses and so they ruined $ 650 worth of items.

I started using the service several months ago and extremely impressed by quality of their work and service! Work is impeccable and very fast! Before you know your laundry is all done and beautifully folded. Few issues I had were resolved immediately. They get back to me right away and make sure that I am happy and it is all ok!
They do their best, to make their customers happy!
Their VP of business development gets back to me over the weekends and escalates any issues that I have to make sure that everything is resolved to my satisfaction!
The follow up with you and have made my life so much easier!
I just wish I could get hold of their customer support during non business hours in case of emergencies!

Here’s the thing the first time I brought clothes to be cleaned I brought 3 pants and 4 shirts to be cleaned and pressed. $ 25 dollars and I’m thinking I found a winner. My next trip I bring in a 20% of coupon with 4 pants and 5 shirts and the price had increased well beyond the first time. And after the 20% I still paid nearly $ 40 dollars. And in looking at the receipt I was going to pay $ 17 dollars for just 3 of the pants! Huh? What happened to the $ 11? And when I asked about it I was given sine run around excuse.
So don’t ask me why but I tried them one more time. 7 work shirts pretty simple instructions. So I get an email and they are saying $ 36.00! This place has no price list so everyone time you come in your price will change. Needless to say I won’t make the mistake of trying it a fourth time. The free popcorn ain’t worth it.

No complaints here! The staff are all very nice and courteous. I had an item that needed some serious cleaning and this place really came through and with a quick turn around, too! Thank you for the communication notification and staying open for business in the later hours. Will definitely use your services again. The price is reasonable, parking is not a problem, and the location is right on! Oh, and thanks for the free popcorn!
