I feel like it’s the first time I’ve been to a dentist for adults. All other dental offices cater to kids or are family-​friendly. Not that this dental office isn’t «family friendly» but the waiting room is comfortable and smart and relaxing. The staff isn’t wearing ridiculously silly scrubs. Dr. Caballero takes her time with you, explains things, and has a very mellow style.
I’ve definitely liked a few of my prior dentists but I feel like I’ve now grown up.

I have been going to Dr. Caballero for over 10 years. In fact, I moved to NV but still come back to have her perform my dental care. She emphasizes preventive care dentistry and has helped me to preserve my teeth and the health of my gums. I have never had a dentist who emphasized this and it has made a big difference in my overall oral health. She has invested in new equipment and stays abreast of the latest in dental care. I have been to many dentists over my 66 years years and she is by far the best. The office is in an well maintained older building in Alameda and it is always nice to go there. I have Delta Dental insurance and everything is explained to me up front before any work is done. I recommend her to anyone who needs a competent, friendly, and helpful general dentist.

This doctor, and her friend at the front desk appear to be more interested in making money then providing the quality care to patients in pain.
I also find it very interesting, that this dentist said I have a lot of work to do in my mouth, but once I switched, the new dentist didn’t need to do all those costly fillings Dr. Caballero said I did. This is only my opinion, but be cautious.

I’ve been going to Dr. Caballero for about 5 years and find her to be honest, ethical, personable, caring, up on all the latest dental technology, and an overall excellent dentist. I highly recommend her!

At first Dr. Caballero seemed great. I was a little confused when I figured out that she was the only one working in the office (no receptionist or assistant), but I thought it would be okay. The exam and cleaning went okay, but when I went to have my first filling she gave me a shot and after two minutes started working. I told her I could feel the pain, so she gave me another shot. I still felt it so she gave me a third. I still felt it so she said she would wait awhile for it to kick in. I have gone to other dentists where the same shots were not even felt. To top it off she had quoted me one price on the prior visit, (told me it was an overestimate most likely) and she then told me she had done the math wrong and it would be more. I wouldn’t say she is compeletly horrible, because she did help me with my oral hygiene and gave me some good tips, but I could personally never go back.

So, I had my first appointment at her offices a week ago and it was a good experience. She is very thorough and provides follow up info (toothpaste, mouthwash routine…) to ensure good oral hygiene. I thought it strange that she was playing role of dentist and secretary. She was the only dentist in the office and then only one dental hygienist which caused me to wait about 30 minutes before I could have my teeth cleaned. I’m not sure if I was there on an «off day» or if this was common practice. It was slightly annoying because she left during my exam to answer a phone. But overall I think it was a very thorough exam and cleaning.

I was very pleased with the treatment I got from Dr. Caballero. She’s very knowledgeable, effective, no-​nonsense, but friendly. Most important to me, she was very upfront and honest about what my insurance covered, what it didn’t, and what the cost would be. I just really like to know what the total situation is, and she did not hide the ball. She explained my situation and my options well, but didn’t push me to do more than was really necessary. I really appreciated all of that. Her dental services were very good, and she made excellent suggestions on home dental care. All around, excellent!
