Jaydee is SPECTACULAR! Its been years since I’ve had a facial. I am so happy to have found her. She’s incredible. Phenomenal customer service from the time you schedule an appointment to the hug before you leave is heaven. I am planning to tell everyone I know about her. She is all heart and you can tell it in how she makes you feel. I look forward to my next session. Thank you Jaydee!!!

To be perfectly honest I chose It’s All About You from the reviews as I had never had a facial before. I am happy to say that all of the wonderful things you read are true. In fact, at every appointment I had, I met people I knew who were also having their facials done by Jaydee. I had these facials to get ready for my daughter’s wedding last month and now I realize how much I love them and will continue. Part of me does not want to post this because I’m afraid she will get too busy.

LOVE Jaydee! Besides providing incredible skin care treatments, she is also a wonderful person. She has worked with me to resolve long-​standing skin problems, and always adjusts the treatment by using different types of masks or peels. She in knowledgeable about the different options for treatment and will explain her thought process, if you’re interested. My skin always feels healthy when I leave! Can’t say enough good things about her.

I have going to Jaydee for skin care since 2007. She is so knowledgeable about her field, I know I’m receiving the best care possible. Jaydee uses wonderful skin care products and equipment to achieve the desired results in a natural, healthy way. The office is beautiful and restful. Her warmth and delightful sense of humor make me feel pampered and cheerful. I always leave with my face glowing, my mood lifted and feeling so relaxed. It’s a wonderful overall experience.

I had a special occasion coming up and searched for a day spa that could help with the beauty part-​certainly found it with Jaydee! She is so friendly, feel like we have known each other for ages. Her technique is wonderful, gets in all those hard to get to spots and performs her magic! !

I had a long overdue facial yesterday with Jaydee Cohen at her skin studio Its All About You in Alameda. I was so relaxed from the moment Jaydee started cleansing my face. She uses great skin care lines that not only are aromatherapeutic but also results oriented! After an exfoliating enzyme she used a microcurrent, red LED combo machine to stimulate and firm my skin! I left with a glowing face not even needing to apply makeup! I cant wait for my next appointment. This time I won’t take so long!

It’s been such a pleasure meeting Jaydee. She is very pleasant and knowledgable. It’s All About You has a warm and pleasant feel. The moment I walked in for the first time, I knew I would return .I feel relaxed and ready to be pampered. Jaydee made me feel very welcome. The warmth and pleasant feel in her treatment room is simply amazing … I look forward to many return visits.

Thank you Jadee! I went for my yearly facial and she alerted me to 2 growths on my nose and ear. She gave me the name of a dermatologist and one month later I was diagnosed with a basal cell carcinoma on my nose. I’ve since had surgery and had it removed. I’m grateful that Jadee told me to take this seriously and get it checked out immediately. Thank you! I highly recommend her!

My wedding was fast approaching and I needed to do something about my Eastern European eyebrows (which despite their prominent, «we shall not be ignored» place on my face, they are an integral part of my appearance and I didn’t want too much done with them). Enter JayDee. Seeing as how I knew nothing about about waxing or apparently basic beauty regimens at all, I was surprised when she had me sign a paper about waxing. I blanched. «Waxing? I thought you were going to tweeze.» She assured me that my ethnic heritage made it so waxing would be far more efficient/​pleasant than the several hours that tweezing would take.
She explained every step, took care to not remove too much, and shaped my brows as they’d never been shaped. I don’t know why I didn’t start doing this years ago, and I’m so happy to have started this journey with the best.
Over the next couple of months I had a formal family wedding, and also a more casual reception. This means I worked with two makeup artists. Both of them *do* understand basic beauty regimens, and both were quite impressed with the work of my brow person. I figure they see a lot of work by a lot of brow people, so that’s high praise.
Even though I don’t come in as often as I should, JayDee always remembers me and is very personable and professional.

Just an updated review to say, it’s 6 years later and Jaydee is still amazing! She has now moved spaces and it is even better than before.
She is an Alameda institution — such a strong and deep knowledge of the latest techniques, as well as doing great work.

I have been coming to Jaydee at her various locations for so many years that I cannot recall. I cannot believe that I have not yet written a Unilocal review for her! Jaydee is by far the best ever! Since she has opened It’s All About You, she has been out for medical reasons twice, and I have had to go to other places to get my eyebrows waxed. So, the first time, I did go to another place. and I must say, they did not do a very good job! There are just little things that Jaydee does that makes your experience so much better (and after so many years of waxing, I will still say I HATE being waxed!) but I will come back time and time again for Jaydee’s warm personality and thorough job. Her salon is very welcoming and comfortable but it’s really Jaydee herself that is the draw. She also sells quality products and I never feel like she is trying to «push» any products on me. If you are looking for a great place to go for facials or waxing, you should definitely give It’s All About You a go! She will definitely make you feel like it’s all about you when you are there! :)

Jaydee is wonderful. I’ve been going to her for years. I first started going to her when she worked at another salon, and now at her own business.
Jaydee is so warm, so accomodating, and so good at what she does that it’s almost a pleasure to have my eyebrow hair ripped off with wax :) Seriously, she’s amazing, and clearly, I’m not the only one to think so. I highly recommend her!

I came in about a month ago for a facial. Before booking the appt with Jaydee I explained that I tend to use only natural products on my skin and she said no problem — all her stuff is plant based. The visit was fine — nothing great, but nothing to really complain about.
The next day, my skin started to feel really dry and itchy — and I had a few red spots. I called Jaydee and explained what was happening. She was prompt about returning my call and explained that I was probably having an allergic reaction. She offered to leave me a cream to come pick up when I could. I did, and used the cream for the next 2 days but did not notice any change. I think that I didn’t actually have an allergic reaction, but rather something she did or used just really dried my skin out. After a few days of lathering my face with heavy lotion, my skin was much better.
Jaydee called about a week later to check in. I called her back and left a mssg to provide an update. I never heard back. I appreciated that she left me a cream and called to check in, but am a little surprised that she didn’t do more to «make things right» (ie: partial refund or a discount on future services). Given that, there is really no reason for me to return.

I have a go-​to I’ve entrusted with my Finicky Face for years, but was on the lookout for someone closer to home who could compare (would that even be possible?). After reading the reviews here for Jaydee and It’s All About You, I made an appointment and crossed my fingers.
On my first visit she suspected I had a mild case of Rosacea and treated me with a special combo of elixirs and magical goos geared toward this. Since that visit and subsequent ones, my skin has been exceptionally clear and even-​toned. I make it almost 6 weeks before needing (wanting?) another treatment. My fingers are crossed no more!
While the results of her facials have been excellent, I wouldn’t be going back repeatedly if Jaydee wasn’t also friendly, down to earth, and super knowledgeable. This isn’t a snooty spa atmosphere where you’ll be offered champagne and a foot rub by the cooler-​than-​thou receptionist — it’s just you and her in a delightful converted cottage, getting down to the business of achieving great skin.

Well it has been almost two years since my first facial with Jaydee and I still LOVE her! I go to her on a regular basis and I have never been disappointed. I always look forward to seeing her and reluctant to get up off the warm table (table?) when the facial is done.

2011 and the hunt for a new esthetician.
The first esthetician over extracted and left me bruised; the second didn’t extract enough and I felt shafted … and the third was just right-​Jaydee!
There were actually 4 esthetician’s before I decided to become a regular at «It’s All About You»
The thing I truly LOVE about Jaydee is that she truly provides a «custom» facial. In the past if I had 2 identical treatments in a row I’d quit. Who wants a cookie cutter facial; the dynamic of our skin changes everyday and a skilled esthetician will adapt to your needs.
Jaydee uses natural products and utilizes her skills to skillfully work through extractions– using the little metal tool as little as possible. She talks you through each step of the facial and educates you on all the products she is using on your skin so there are no surprises.
Jaydee takes an interest in your life not only to understand the stresses your skin may be under but because she genuinely cares! I’m surprised at what details she remembers about my personal life (and the nuances of my skin) and I love hearing about her own life experiences.
Tina’s Tip: Jaydee has GREAT taste in food and know’s her bay area restaurants. Oh and ALWAYS book your next appointment when you’re there– she fills up fast and you will regret it– I promise!

I really trust Jaydee not to steer me wrong and I’ve never been disappointed. I let her pick the facial that I need and as for waxing… she’s the bomb!
Personal story here: I’ve been noticing for more than a year that upper lip hair had appeared on my face! How could that be? It didn’t use to be there? Luckily I have blonde hair so no one really saw it but me but it still bothered me. After several discussions about it over a course of probably 6 months, I finally let Jaydee wax my upper lip. Boy! Why did I wait so long?! I thank her, though, for being patient and letting me decide when I was ready to take this big step (for me). If your esthetician can’t hold your hand and help you through a major life change (for me!) then you are seeing the wrong esthetician!

When I was I9 I tried to wax my own armpits — on a 95º day. I couldn’t get the hair out, couldn’t get the wax off, and walked around with my armpits stuck together for a couple of days. (I think Lucille Ball must be a distant relation). So I decided getting waxed was not for me… that was 30 years ago. I’ve grown up just a little. A few months ago I went to a waxing parlor near Nob Hill Market. The technician (I wouldn’t call her anything warmer than that) peered at my face and scowled «Hair too long on your beard, hair too short on your mustache. Come back in three days.» And as I slunk out shamefaced, I heard her and her coworkers giggling about me. That stung, and I’d never darken their door again. Beauty may only be skin deep, but ugly is relative to one’s behavior.
I have an event looming for which I want to splurge a little so today, after price shopping and looking at different recommendations, I had my first professional face waxing ever, at this lovely place, as recommended by Unilocalers.
Jaydee is very sweet and gave me a clear idea of what I could expect. She works quickly, her products smell nice, and she gave me a little facial massage as well as a mineral makeup coverup for post-​waxing blotchiness.
I also liked the atmosphere. Note some of the old reviews talk about steep stairs and a treehouse — that was her old Santa Clara Ave location which had 34 stairs! Her new location is on the sunny side of a large converted old Tudor home. I walked up 3 short steps to go in… perhaps there’s a ramp out back It’s a serene atmosphere, and there are no odd chemical smells one might encounter in a more comprehensive salon. Or in a salon owned by mean little hairless people.
Several hours later, residual pinkness has subsided and I look better than I have in ages. I don’t know whether there are other spas around who offer better service, better prices, or better results, but I feel no need to look further. Thanks, Jaydee, I’ll be returning!

First met Jaydee in 2004 and have been coming back ever since!
I’ve never met a more knowledgeable esthetician-​she knows everything about skincare and more. She carries great products, jewelry and some clothes. I buy the ColorScience too, which I have come to LOVE.
Not only that, she has the best Holiday Party every December. You can have champagne and delicious hors d’ oeuvres while getting all of your shopping handled and meeting her other clients and friends-​a lot of fun!

So having finally arrived at the conclusion that the“Oscar the Grouch” look is not going to score me any points, I decided to get my eye brows waxed. Read a bunch of reviews for all sorts of places in the East Bay. And though many of them are highly rated, it worries me to see 5 star and 1 star reviews together. I sure as hell wouldn’t want to show up on the day that 1 star girl/​guy is doing the waxing. I might have to fill in the damage with some crayons and that is just not sexy…
What can I say? Jaydee is amazing. She’s very informative and reassured me that my fears of looking like Dr. Evil or a tramp would be fully recognized and that everything would be ok. I have a pretty high pain tolerance but the waxing was relatively painless and the results were great.
Love in interior and the whole tree house feeling. However I highly advise that you not go after a company happy hour or a night at the bars with the buddies. That flight of stairs is a bit daunting to the slightly inebriated folks.
