Usually selection is limited at times but I don’t understand the negative reviews. Every time I go into the store, I’m greeted. My last visit, I had an issue with the checkout because the cashier forgot to add my coupon but when I came back to fix the issue it took a while. Although it took long, JoJo, I believe a supervisor, was very patient and accommodating to me. She helped resolve my issue. Great staff, they’re always super nice and tell you about their sales.

I visited Carters today to purchase clothes for my toddler. The store attendant made eye contact with me when I walked in however she offered no hello or any other greeting. The experience continued to get colder as the store attendant walked passed me 3 times and again did not offer a hello or ask if I needed assistance. I decided to ask for the manager who was also disdainful as I told her that it looked as though her employee thouroughly did not want to be there. The manager and the store attendant if that really was the store manager are in need of basic training. This store despite the sale they were having was empty. I imagine the emptiness was due to the lack of customer service and unfriendly environment.

Management team is very rude they say they don’t accept checks that’s because they don’t know how to operate their register to accept checks highly recommend at the corporate office give their manager so appropriate training

Very disappointed. Called this Carters to see if they had an item that was sold out online and was very excited to hear that there was only 1 more left in their store! So I asked them to put it on hold so that it can be picked it. After arriving only less than only 1 later, the item is gone? Drove 25 minutes to come out empty handed and very disappointed and very upset. Supposedly the person I talked to over the phone that said she would place my item on hold was on break and must’ve forgot to put the item away for hold and within less than an hour some other customer bought the item. They simply said to check the Carters in Hayward! There is no way I drove from Pinole to Alameda for this and then even think to drive even farther to Hayward! Very inconsiderate and irresponsible on their part!

I went here to return a few items and they were very nice about it. We had to do 2 separate returns and for some reason the register didn’t allow to put the store credit on the same card. Eventually it worked and they even apologized. When I was walking out of the store, I head them greet another customer by name since they came often. That is great service. You don’t see that much these days.
