It really pains me to write this review, but I do feel it needs to be done. My ex boyfriend and I were, in my eyes, pretty good customers. We made a few purchases from them… A diamond ring, a couple rolex’s, and a few items for mom them. They, of course, treated us like family. The customer service is exceptional… As it should be for a jewelry store when you’re spending that kind of money. I had recently called to inquire about selling back my ring, and another ring purchased from a different company. Now both rings were purchased for at least $ 3,000. I am COMPLETELY aware that I would not get back what was paid for it. Probably not even half. I sent in my niece, on my behalf since I couldn’t make it in, to do the deal. They of course informed me that it wouldn’t be what we paid for it, understandable. I do remember when we first purchased the ring they made the process of trading it in or even selling it back very easy…(Let’s not forget when I mentioned my name or even my exes it took a while for them to catch on. They even mentioned how I had purchase a bracelet which I didn’t. Obvious mix up) Any who, my niece had called me and let me know that they were going to pay only $ 400 for both rings! And I’m not in the jewelry business, but that seemed ridiculously low. That’s not even 15% of the money paid! A part of me feels like because I sent someone younger in, maybe they cheated her. All I can say is I’m completely appalled. Especially with the fact that they treated us SO well while we were purchasing items, but when I want to sell it back, it’s different. It’s just interesting how the FULL price could be honored if I was using it as store credit(that’s understandable) but to depreciate it by 85% because I’m not using it to buy other jewelry? That’s just ridiculous. My niece even overheard some shady talk going on between two workers who sounded like they didn’t know what they were talking about. The worst part about it is that I really trusted and liked the service. But something about that exchange just seemed a little too shady for my liking. I’m in sales myself, so I understand there is always something that can be done. I was hoping things would go smoothly and that I would be back there in 2 months purchasing Christmas gifts for some of the women in my life… But I’m sad to say I’ll have to take my business elsewhere. If you are planning on only purchasing jewelry from them, I would say go for it. Maybe only a one time deal for a birthday or Christmas present. Brandy, her mom, and the dad… They really are sweet people! I’m not sure who handled my niece at the store, but in my experience brandy has ALWAYS been amazing and sweet and such a great memory. She really has a lot of patience and treats you with kindness and respect. I would probably only ask for her. This is why it really is a tough thing for me to write this review. I just wouldn’t trust taking jewelry here to sell… Or get multiple opinions on how much you could get. Unfortunately I didn’t have the time to take it to other jewelers to get a price, but if I did, I DEFINITELY would not have brought my business here. Such a shame. So if you end up going there to buy a .5 carat, princess brilliant cut, halo white gold ring. Diamond is VS2 color: D with an EGL certification… Just know that they only paid $ 300 for that ring.

The entire staff(to include the jeweler/watchmaker) were so friendly and helpful! While looking at their large selection of Pre-Owned Rolex’s, I asked the owner if she would accept my Rolex Datejust as a trade-in, she said yes and made me a nice & fair offer. I left The Diamond Fairy 100% satisfied, sporting a «like new» Rolex Submariner Black Dial Stainless Steel! I also want to mention that I called The Diamond Fairy the day prior and spoke with Brandy, she was so polite and took the time to answer all my questions that I had about their Rolex’s. Mahalo to Brandy, Mary, Emily and the entire staff at The Diamond Fairy — Uptown Pearlridge Mall.

Again, I am in the market for a luxury timepiece. I call the Diamond Fairy(after my experience with The Diamond Specialists — check out that review!) and a lady answers the phone. I ask her if they have what I’m looking for in stock(a pre-owned Day Date Rolex, 18KYG) and she says they do. As I am getting ready to ask her a price on the watch, she asks me, «Are you on the island?» Wait what? So, because I called from my mainland number(and not my 808 number), it makes a difference? After I tell her, «Yes, I am on Oahu,» she then proceeds to give me the price. I tell her thanks and am about to let her go when she then tells me, «It’s negotiable.» I again tell her thanks and she continues to press the sale over the phone and when I finally tell her that we’re too far apart on pricing, she finally says, «Okay, bye bye.» and hangs up the phone. Needless to say, I won’t be spending 10K on a pre-owned watch through The Diamond Fairy.

They did contact me and are trying to replace the diamond choice. Unfortunately, the price is usually more and the quality is less so we haven’t been able to replace the original diamond yet. Still trying but it’s very time consuming and so far, nothing. I don’t want to pay more than I had agreed to for a lesser quality diamond. At least they are trying but I’m still disappointed.

I LOVE this place! I came in yesterday while my husband took care of our registration at the satellite city. I intended to go to Ross until the store caught my attention. Mind you I was not having a good day to start, came in with my hair down, no make up and comfy clothes while pushing my 2 years old in his stroller(mother of 4). The ladies were very nice and greeted me with a smile while they were helping with other customers. Brandy was on the phone with another customer and still manage to greet me and told me she was going to be right with me. I felt welcome even though I was probably looking like a hot mess! Anyways, Brandy was awesome she is very thorough and listened to what I had in mind and went beyond excellent customer service, she is very out going as well! I definitely recommend this place! And I will definitely be coming back! :D Brandy made my DAY a happy one at the end! :)

I’m seriously amazed at how many people can just create a fake account and bash a company/business like the person«offended» below. Seriously? Anyways, as this is a review FORTHEBUSINESS, I’ll withhold any additional commentary on severely immature people in this world…*shakes head I rarely buy jewelry, but when I do, I like to shop around a lot. There are a lot of fancy diamond and jewelry stores out there that as soon as you walk into the door, you don’t feel welcome.(Try walking into any luxury diamond store with slippers, no make up on, and«mommy» written on your forehead, then it’ll happen for sure). With that being said, I rarely ever walk into those high-end stores… or even the ones that simply appear«high end.» Well…The Diamond Fairy from the outside store front definitely looked high end, but someone from the store gave me a seriously genuine smile right after I went shopping at Ross’. I couldn’t help but let that smile drag me into their store. Next thing you know, I spent a couple hundred on mostly earrings and necklaces for work! Despite looking like a high-end/luxury diamond store, the Diamond Fairy actually offers a lot of affordable jewelry as well. I seriously love it when companies cater to a wide range of consumers and not just to one specific target group. Anyhow, would I recommend you come to the Diamond Fairy to shop for jewelry? Absolutely! The sales staff there are knowledgeable and most importantly down-to-earth and won’t be arrogant b*…excuse my language!

The workers are very prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. My first visit here was with my mom to resize my ring. We were in and out in about 15 minutes, ring on hand. They’re pretty quick. My mom took my engagement ring in for me so I could make it into a pendant. It was ready in two days, which I only had time to get it today. They made a custom pendant with the topaz that was in my engagement ring. The setting of the pendant is very similar to the setting of my ring [which is simple to begin with]. The cherry on top? They remembered me after that first visit… by name! I hope to be able to give this place more business soon. Love their choices and prices.

I came here to sell some gold & jade jewelry after having a rude and dishonest encounter with an employee at Island Legacy. The employees at The Diamond Fairy were friendly and efficient. After weighing the gold & doing acid tests(I had read that acid tests can be inaccurate but mine tested correctly), they gave me much more than I expected. For the jade, they told me to come back the next day for consultation from a jade expert. I’m really pleased!

This store has it all(or they can get it for you!) I traded in some old jewelry that was laying around my jewelry box. The ladies here really know their stuff. I was in fine jewelry sales in college, and I know I got a fair price for what I traded in. I bought a gold chain, a hawaiian bangle for my daughter and diamond stud earrings here. Everything was of excellent quality and I was very happy with the price. The ladies who work at the Diamond Fairy are very professional and very helpful.

BUYERBEWARE– overpriced & if you take your gold to sell to them — they(Trisha) will underestimate the value. However, they treat you like family while they take your $. Far more for the buck going to Sam’s or Costco and take your«gold» to the Gold Guy. Gold Guys show you the weight & always offer top dollar!
