Liquid Metal Tattoo & Piercing

I was excited to go and get my daith pierce the other day. The shop is super clean and the owner/​piercer very friendly and super nice. She took my back to do the piercing and I was excited to see when it was done. She definitely pierced my forward helix and not the daith. Looks super cute but not what I wanted pierced. So pretty bummed about it.

Got a tattoo about 10 years ago from here. I love it always get compliments on it almost every day even 10 years later. The guy who tattood me was «axel» or mark would love to find out where he is now after my tattoo i went back a few months later and he was fired or left and went «back to the states» he did an awesome tattoo and would like it touched up by him if any body knows him please let me know thanks.

A friend of mine wanted her first tattoo and needed a walk in. She was really nervous about getting a tattoo anyway. The guy that tattooed her have her good advice about placement and pain level. I sat with her through the process. Nice guy. I was glad I recommended this place to her. I’ve heard great things.

It would’ve been 5 stars, if the owner wasn’t late to open. We had an appointment at 1:00 for a tattoo but didn’t get in until 1:20 — 1:30 ish. The person who did our tattoo, Vance, was a really chill guy. He asked us if we were okay every few minutes. Tatts came out nice but did make a slight mistake in the Roman numerals. We had to go back & get it fixed.

I spontaneously wanted to get a tattoo so I came here because all the reviews said this place was amazing. The first thing was A lady’s attitude was really rude and made me feel like I was an idiot. She was nice once I told her I’m going to get a tattoo and probably get my nose pierced. The tattoo artist was really nice but I didn’t appreciate how I was treated from the lady especially spending $ 210 on small tattoos

Went here for my first tattoo and honestly everyone there was very friendly and just made me feel at home. Stan was honest and told me everything about finger tattoos, sandy even gave me a lollipop LOL. But over all a great place, totally going back.

Came in without an appointment wanting to get my nose pierced in the same spot I had it before. However, Sandy recommended piercing it in a spot that would flatter my face. Trusted her confidence and I love the placement!
Also, I’m a bit OCD and was happy to see that Sandy is VERY sanitary! The most sanitary piercing I’ve ever had.
I was in and out. Spent no more than 15 mins in the shop.

Called to verify price a piercing, friendly staff was able to answer all our questions & also let us know in advance to have a form of picture identification for customers 16 & older. We were able to walk in & was seen within 10 minutes while piercer (SANDY) was with another client. She was very nice & quick & also gave my little one a lollipop for waiting now I know where to go for any other piercings & recommend it too!

We walked in with no appointment and didn’t have to wait long for a consultation with Stan, he was honest and professional and helped us decide on something that kept our intentions in mind while taking all things in consideration. We got an affordable price on two matching tattoos, one for myself and one for my sister. They did an amazing job and the work looks great. Their shop is clean and not overly cluttered like the other place we visited down the street. Several people came in and booked appointments and had work done while we were there, they’re very busy here which is a good sign, maybe we got lucky with our walk-​in. I’d definitely recommend Stan, it was my very first tatoo and I have to say: I felt I was in very good hands. If I get more more work on I’ll be coming back here

My friend and I went in to get helix piercings. Within 5 minutes we changed our minds after dealing with Sandy (the owner). She ranted about how her employee was late and cussed openly at her son who was sprawled on the couch playing video games. We found the list of piercing prices on the wall and tried to scoot to the side and out of her way. When my friend asked if she accepts Visa cards, Sandy lost her shit. She pointed out how many signs there were that say «cash only» and didn’t know why people asked her that all the time. My friend looked at me and said, «I don’t have cash on me». Sandy then butted in and rudely stated there was an ATM a couple stores down… OK.
When a delivery guy came in with supplies for the store she asked how much it would be, he told her the price and then said he could only accept cash. Sandy lost her shit, AGAIN. I couldn’t help but snicker under my breath because she seemed to be getting a taste of her own medicine. It was all the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced and honestly I’d rate this place zero stars if I could.

This is a bit late as I got pierced on Memorial day but hey better late than never.
On memorial day this year I decided out of the blue to get a tongue piercing, a lot of shops were closed but I called Liquid Metal and they were able to take me. Got there and said I wanted a tongue piercing, waited 5 minutes and was taken to the back. Sandy was really nice. I’ve been pierced by her before so I knew she would be good. She had me rinse out my mouth, stick my tongue out and then she pierced it nice and quick! She told me how to take care of it, how I can come back in a week and she would change it for me, then gave me a paper on how to take care of it.
I did come back a week later so she could help me change it for the first time. Again, she was really nice and told me about how to properly change it and all that. Overall, really great shop and really great service. :)

Came in to get a piercing today. Got to meet the owner Sandy, who was also the person who pierced my lip. Quick and easy service. Raw, real, and straightforward. Gave me all the info on how to care and maintain. Was in and out in minutes. Professional and clean environment. I was expecting to pay sixty, but was only forty. Definitely coming back to get my nips pierced here as well. I can’t think of a single thing that could have been done better. Five star service. Thanks Sandy. Your the shits!

I was excited and looking forward to checking out the rings here, and the woman working there managed to make me feel like a nuisance and an idiot all within the span of about five minutes.
I got my septum pierced when I was visiting my sister on the mainland, and I was healed and ready to buy something new! When my boyfriend and I walked into this shop in Aiea, the guy who came up to the counter was really cool and showed me the cases where the septum clickers and rings were. He left, and a minute later a woman walked up (assuming this is the owner). She was snippy and acted like I was wasting her time. I was trying to ask questions about gauges and styles, and she cut me off twice and was looking at me like I was a complete idiot. Eventually, I realized I was getting nowhere with this woman so I planned to pay for the ring I was looking at and get out of her hair. When I asked about pricing, she snipped, «It’s on the back! Just turn it over.» She acted like she was disgusted having to talk to me. I put the box with the ring down and walked out.
Maybe her other workers are great, but this woman is terrible to work with. Extremely poor and disappointing customer service.

Me and my cousin went in today to get piercings-​I was getting my septum and my cousin her forward helix. let me just say I have no regrets choosing Sandy to do it.
We walked in and immediately was greeted by a guy. He was already tattooing someone on the table but stopped to ask us what we was there for. When we told him piercings he told us to sign in as he called Sandy. We waited a while only because she was setting everything up. She took me in first and it took no more than 5 minutes. While putting in the ring and screwing in the balls she asked me if I wanted to lie down than to stay sitting up, which I thought was great. She then showed me how to tuck in my septum piercing for work, gave me instructions on how to clean it and a bar of soap. and she also gave me candy! She then took in my cousin and that also took no more than 5 minutes. We stayed for a while as we both talked to Sandy.
Loved that she was easy going and talked to you as if you guys knew each other for a long time!

At the beginning of my vacation my PIC and I went to Liquid Metal to get pricing for a couple of matching tattoos. We were pleasantly surprised with the reasonable price so we put a deposit down and talked to Vance about what we wanted and made our appointment for today.
Our design was better than we hoped and he didn’t give us any grief for being nerds and getting Harry Potter tattoos. He was very down to earth, focused and had steady hands, (not to mention he liked country music and was crazy cute!). Our tattoos came out beautiful and Sandy, the owner, kept us entertained in between all the piercings she did! I’ve been to tattoo shops in multiple states and had multiple artists throw down some ink on me. Vance is in the top 3 and I wish Sandy was on the mainland so I could get some of the piercings I want done! Thanks for a great experience and awesome ink! Until the next trip out here…

Came here about a month ago to get my septum pierced and I don’t regret it at all. The wait was a little long, but it was expected since they were kind of busy that day. As soon as I got into the room, sandy, my piercer, walked me through what was going to happen in a quick manner. She didn’t waste any time, which I liked :) as for the piercing, it didn’t hurt at all, which was kind of surprising, since my pain tolerance isn’t the highest. Getting the actual piercing through was the most painful part in my experience overall, I highly recommend this place! Sandy definitely knows what she’s doing.

Decided to get a new piercing out of the blue after work. Went on Unilocal and looked for nearby shops closest to pearl ridge (because I was on my way to my other job). My usual piercer was out of town and I just couldn’t wait.
Walked in and was immediately greeted by one of the guys. I was in luck that their piercer (Sandy) was in the store. I usually call ahead of time whenever I get new piercings but this time I did not. Showed the guy my ID and signed a paper.
Patiently waited for Sandy to get everything ready and got sent to the back. She was really nice! She put a paper towel over me (the kind like at the dentist) to catch my drool. she made me gargle mouth was for a minute. It was hard for me to stick out my tongue idk why, but she managed to pierce it with no problems. It was quick and painless! I guess because I have other piercings and tattoos and have a high pain tolerance. She also had me drink ice water right after for the swelling.
She quickly briefed me on how to take care of my new piercing, what to eat, what not to eat, stuff like that. She also gave me a paper on how to take care of my piercing.
Sandy, also recognized my dermal implant on my chest that got rejected. she recommended that I use a scar gel to reduce the bump.
Overall, this place is clean, friendly and very helpful. I would definitely go back

I wasn’t planning to write a review for this place since most of the reviews already say how awesome Sandy (the piercer) is. But, I have to give credit where credit is due. She definitely deserves these 5 stars without a doubt.
Let’s go back a few years when I did a lot of things on a whim. One late afternoon, I called up my friend and asked if she wanted to go with me to get my helix piercing done. So we went to Liquid Metal since it was close to our house. I wasn’t really thinking about complications, cleanliness, etc. I mean, I got my first pair of piercings (ear lobes) at Afterthoughts (now Claire’s/Icing for those who have no idea what that was) which actually ended up crooked.
So we went and was immediately greeted by Sandy. First impression: Hmm, maybe this wasn’t a good idea. That lady has tattoos and piercings everywhere. Are you really going through with this? Damn, you can’t back out now cause (insert friend’s name) is gonna think you’re a wimp. Alright, just suck it up like a big girl.
She asked what she could help with. She could tell I was a little nervous but she was really comforting. Before piercing, she verified the location. She talked me through the ENTIRE piercing and before I knew it, my ear was pierced! We talked story for a while since she was so friendly! Sandy explained the cleaning process, gave me a bar of Dial Antibacterial Soap, and I was on my way. She said you don’t need all those expensive solutions. The soap will do just fine as long as you clean it regularly and in accordance with the paper instructions she gives.
She ONLY takes CASH. My piercing was $ 40 (single) including the cost of the earring. A bit pricey if you ask me. (And she DOESN’T pierce ear lobes.)
But, it didn’t end there. A few months ago which is several years after piercing, my ear where my piercing was started to bother me. It was throbbing and painful so I simply decided to take my earring out and clean it. I just thought it was due to snowboarding where I wore a helmet smashed up against it for 5 hours. Within a couple days, I started noticing a lump at the piercing site! :(I googled it like crazy getting results about a keloid. WHAT?! OMG. PLEASE GO AWAY! It was so ugly and obvious and I couldn’t hide it! It looked like a pimple on my ear! OMG SO GROSS! My other friend (who had gotten her ear pierced at Claire’s) had one of those and she couldn’t get it surgically removed without the high risk of it getting bigger! I was so paranoid! I was freaking out! So, I decided to head down to Liquid Metal again to ask for Sandy’s advice.
Sandy took a look at it and asked what I had experienced. She recommended Tea Tree Oil and proper cleaning to reduce the size of the lump. She speculated that it may have been caused by change in water, soap, or trauma to the area from snowboarding. I was a little hesitant because how can water and soap cause a lump in my ear?! But whatever, I just trusted her and went home with my $ 8 bottle of Tea Tree Oil. She recommended me come back if it didn’t work and she could help put my earring back in if it did work. What I loved was that she didn’t focus on just making money off of me. She really took the time to explain how to care for my piercing. (I’m pretty sure she forgot I had to pay her until I handed over cash.)
After a week or so, my lump finally disappeared and I could stick my earring back in! I was so incredibly relieved! Thank you, Sandy! (And I also found out that water/​soap can really affect your ear! Whenever I go on trips, I notice my ear get a little sore from my showers! But once I come back home, it’s pretty much good to go! Who knew?! Well, obviously Sandy knew that. DUH.)
Sorry, this review is pretty long and you can stop here if you want. I must add that I have gone to other professional piercers and can honestly say Liquid Metal is still my favorite. Other places may be cheaper (significantly cheaper… say half the price), but you honestly get what you pay for. My other piercings came out fine without complications, but service was not as nearly as incredible as Sandy. Other places have made me wait 20 – 30 minutes before calling me in even when I’m the only customer there! They try to get you to buy all these solutions that you don’t need. Also, they put in awful looking earrings that you definitely want to switch out once you can if you want to be «fashionable». I’m sure there’s many other places that are just as good and maybe even better than Liquid Metal, but I can say that I vouch for Liquid Metal. I’m considering another piercing and I will definitely revisit Sandy again if I do decide to get it. If you really care about yourself, go to a good piercer. I wouldn’t recommend Walmart/Claire’s or similar. Yeah, you will need to pay more but don’t you want a good piercing that isn’t crooked or pierced with a gun? Think about it and do some research!

On Monday night, my friend and I went to get piercings (she got a second nostril, and I got my septum done). We’ve been going to LM since high school and the experience has always been the same. A lot of people say that Sandy is rude, but she really isn’t. She’s a little rough around the edges but she’s a quick and excellent piercer and she’s great to talk to if you just listen to her (don’t move your head, sit a certain way on the chair, etc.). She always gives soap for the piercing you got and I don’t remember if she always did this, but she gave me candy after too! Sandy is really great. She’s fast and tries to minimize the pain and she’ll explain what’s happening as she does it so you aren’t guessing what’s happening on your face. I’ve gotten four of my five piercings from her (angel bites, nape, and septum) and I’d definitely recommend her.

Came here with my friend to get our nose done. Mind you, this was a last minute plan! Lol.
I called up the store to know about the piercing prices and they said this month was $ 30! Which is a great deal! Regular price would’ve been $ 40.
Me and my friend walked in the store, signed in, they ID checked us, and they said it was going to be about a 20 minute wait since the lady before us was getting multiple piercing at one. So eh, 20 minutes? Not too long. So me and my friend was just walking around the shopping center to kill time.
When we got back to the store, it was our turn! Feeling nervous as heck cause I haven’t had a piercing in awhile. My friend went first and it was super quick! Then it was my turn.
Sandy, the owner & piercer, was super cool. She did it quick and easy. She talked to me as if we were comfortable with each other, lol. She even explained how to clean the piercing too.
I would totally recommend this place. I’d come back to do more piercings.
