Ava is AWESOME!!! She removed the really messed up rats nest of weave that was coming undone after 2 weeks that I got from someone else. She did a full sew in weave. My hair is very thin and never has been the same after a few surgeries I’ve had. Now my hair looks so long and thick! It hasnt looked this good in a few years! Go see Ava! She does immaculate work and is a master at what she does. :)

AVA!!! this lady is awesome!!! I had her give me a partial hair out braid in weave. The braids were tight, and stayed tight for weeks! She knows what she’s doing!

Business IS open, but under new management. The ladies here are very nice and welcoming to new customers! As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with a hello and a smile. Last year Ava installed dread extensions for me and I see her every couple of months for routine maintenance to keep the roots looking squared away. Ava is a very diversed hairstylist. Doesn’t matter your hair type. She does everything. Located on the 2^nd floor of the Aiea Shopping Center. I like to park on the 2^nd floor under the shade, but if no space then the Times parking lot is fine too. Take escalator up to 2^nd floor the salon will be right in front you.

Ponce cuts my wife’s hair and I jump in to cut mine during the same appointment. She always does an excellent job and she is great to talk to.
Parking in the Aiea Shopping Center is not bad. I usually find parking on the second floor in the shade.
A bonus with this place is Starbucks downstairs (while waiting for my wife to finish) and Ice Garden shaved ice right around the corner!

I love JDK! More specifically, Denise is the best! To be fair, I’ve never seen anyone else here. It is very difficult to find someone that can cut my hair right, but when I do, I tend to stick with them.
Prices here are very reasonable, though you should make appointments a month out to ensure you get your desired date and time. Parking can also tend to be difficult to find, so plan on arriving a bit early. I’m not sure about the others here, but Denise no longer accepts credit cards either. Despite this, though, Denise @ JDK is my go to person/place for haircuts!

I recieved an awesome haircut by a great stylist, Denise! This salon is very clean, conveinent, free parking and most importantly, does NOT overcharge. Well worth what you pay for.
I get compliments on my haircut all the time.
