Island Yogurt

Stumbled upon this little yogurt shop tonight. Neil wanted dessert and instead of going to our usual Baskin and Robins at the Moanalua Shopping Center, we decided to explore the little strip mall across from Aiea Bowling Alley. Island yogurt has 14 flavors to choose from, ranging from coconut to tart, pistachio to taro. Toppings include but are definitely not limited to fresh fruits like strawberries, blueberries, kiwi. There’s boba bursting balls, almonds, cheesecake bites and brownie bits. Honey, Graham crackers, sprinkles are also available for a touch of added sweetness to your yogurt. Tonight I had original tart and cookies and cream yogurt with multiple nut toppings and Neil had coconut and strawberry yogurt with mixed fruit toppings. Our treat came up to a little over $ 12. There’s also a stamp card where after you buy 8, you receive $ 5 off your next purchase!

Always a tradition to get some froyo from here after eating dinner while in the area with la familia.

Froyo is delicious, not too tart or sour and not too sweet. The add-​ons too are always fresh and presentable.

I liked the Dole pineapple yogurt with mango boba. Sweet and slightly tarty. This will be my fav for awhile.

Bought a Groupon for here thinking it would be a great place to try instead of going to Pearl City or into town, but the Groupon was a total waste of money.
We like to put different flavors into our bowls, and each one was runny, the lady at the counter said «oh that’s because we just put a new mix in» really in the six of the ten flavors that were available! Some were thinner than a Jamba Juice!
If you like to taste the flavors of your yogurt like at Cherry on Top or Menchies, don’t come here because other places have better tasting flavors.
Last thing if you have a Groupon keep in mind that according to the staff the Groupons expire before the end of the day because they go «according to mainland time» though which time zone they could not explain. My $ 10 Groupon was only worth $ 6 at 5p today because it is expired though the expiration on it is today’s date. Even at 5p Hawaii it’s not midnight on the East coast, must be a different mainland they’re talking about.

Cute little space with awesome flavors and toppings. Very family friendly with tiny tables for your Little people in your life. Plus, bonus military discount if that applies to you. Definitely need to try it out!

Is this place a must-​try? Nah. But if you’re looking for some self serve frozen yogurt and you’re in the area, this is a good place to go. When I went, the flavors they had were coconut, pineapple, vanilla, taro, mint, chocolate, salted caramel, red velvet… And a few more I can’t remember. As well as all the toppings that most fro-​yo places carry (fruit, mochi, popping boba, gummies, nuts, etc.) There was a good variety, it was all yummy, and the place is clean. My daughters loved it because they had little tables for kids, and princess decorations on the walls, so I would definitely recommend it for the keiki.

I have found frozen yogurt can be hit or miss. Island Yogurt is definitely a hit. I wasn’t expecting much from the way it looked on the outside, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it was clean and spacious on the inside.
There were many varieties of yogurt to choose from, and they were all really delicious! It was hard to choose! The fruit toppings were all very fresh and cold. The staff was friendly and polite. They also offer a military discount, which was very generous.
I’d go here every day if the traffic on Moanalua wasn’t so dang bad!

I first discovered Island yogurt in Kailua. This Leeward girl was not going to drive down to the windward side for good froyo after working on my fitness. You ever have that munchie feeling after a good workout? Well I did! So instead of going to Kailua, we went to this location. I needed something lowfat, tasty and has good carbs!
We walked in all sweaty in our workout clothes. We didnt care. We needed frozen yogurt. And this killer craving of mint and cheesecake has to be taken care of.
I was so happy that they had my favorite flavors from Kailua. The only one missing was Li Hing Mui. I have tried many frozen yogurt places. I like Island yogurt the best because many of the flavors have a nice creaminess to it. It has a great taste that you forget its frozen yogurt. In this visit I tried the taro froyo. From other places, the taro froyo tastes more tart. Nothing wrong with that. At Island yogurt, the taro tasted really creamy and light. It had less of a tart taste which brought out more of that taro flavor. So fabulously refreshing!
The place was similar to Island yogurt in Kailua. Comfy seating, like couches comfy and colorful tables. They also had some seating for kids too.
I was really happy of the consistency of the flavors, the toppings and the service from friendly workers. They were nice to us, even when we walked in in our stinky gym gear. ^_​^* Hands down, this is my favorite frozen yogurt place on the island. You don’t even need toppings because it tastes great plain. Im not sure why some of the reviews of this place is low. But I gues the best way is to try it yourself ^_​^* i have come to enjoy this place much more than the others (trust me, I go to LOTS) Try mint and cheesecake. Its a killer combo!

My cousins always rave about Island Yogurt and have been patronizing this place since it was called Orange Tree/​Orange Grove. After eating dinner recently at Queen St. Café & Grill, a friend and I walked over here for dessert.
We were the only customers for a while, but several families came in to enjoy yogurt during our visit. There was a great assortment available, and the facility itself was really clean.
I was disappointed that peanut butter wasn’t available during my trip to Island Yogurt, but there were a lot of others to choose from. I went with vanilla, chocolate, cookies & cream and cheesecake. I sampled the «Salty Caramel» and I did like it; it was on the sweeter side and not overly salty. But, I didn’t love it enough to add it into my mix. Definitely will try that peanut butter flavor the next time I’m back here (and it’s available).
There’s a great selection of toppings available at the topping bar. I went with M&Ms, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, a few cookie dough bites and peanut butter chips. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re into mochi, cereal or sprinkles!
While I enjoyed the refreshing taste of the yogurt, it was really liquidy in consistency. This was something I noticed from when I got my samples and when I put my flavor medley together. It’s my personal preference to have yogurt a little firmer – not liquid – so I was disappointed that it was melting so quickly. The sweetness was light, so I did welcome the texture and refreshing taste, especially after having a deep-​fried dinner.
The girl at the front – the only employee working – wasn’t super helpful or friendly, but at least it was a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy our frozen treats. I have to say, I prefer Cherry on Top to this place, just because the yogurt flavors are stronger, creamier and more solid (they don’t melt as quickly). I do have a stamp card, though, for any future visit I may take to this Aiea location, and it gets its stars for flavor/​topping assortment, convenience and ambience.

Clean, spacious and lovely owner. I treat my daughter to this place every few weeks and when we walk in we are always immediately greeted great prices, military discount and punchcard for frequent visitors.

The best frozen yogurt I’ve had, and coming from California where there’s tons of fro-​yo places, I think that’s saying something! There’s many flavors, many toppings options, & a military discount available too! My favorite is strawberry & cheesecake yogurt swirl with cheesecake bites & fresh strawberries. 2^nd favorite is mint & chocolate swirl with mint chip (like Andes mints!) topping. You won’t be disappointed going there.

I’m glad this place still remained a yogurt place even after the previous one closed. The vibes in here are different than before (in a good way of course). Friendly customer service and very welcoming.

Best place for a cold dessert around. The family loves this place. It’s easy to get to and we get five desserts for less than $ 20, you can’t beat that. We love Island Yogurt.

Never disappointed. Clean shop and friendly staff. Great flavors. Has kids tables, nice comfortable couches and regular tables too. ;). Wish I could indulge here every day. :)

This was the best yogurt of my LIFE. I spent the last 11 years of my life in Italy and so I desperately miss gelato… some believe gelato is ice cream, but it really isn’t… it is so much closer to soft serve in its consistency and texture. Soft serve reminds me dearly of yogurt. And yogurt at island yogurt is fabulous to say the very least.
I’ve only been to the aiea location and since that is so close to home, I will keep going to the aiea location until I die! Unless I’m in kailua… for convenience in either locations… anywhoooo…
My favorite flavors there are the vanilla (classic), salted caramel, fresh mint and cheesecake. If I may recommend the toppings that compliment those flavors, I’d say, vanilla is solo, caramel with oreo crumble (heavenly), cheesecake with cheesecake bites (so decadent), mint with after 8 pieces.
with the heat that we’ve been dealing with lately, the refreshing, low-​fat, gluten free yogurt is an awesome cool-​down go-​to. Beau and i have skipped dinner and had our fix at island yogurt. Coming back… tonight… probably… don’t judge! It’s low-​fat!

The restaurant was very clean and very welcoming. The frozen yogurt was great and not runny. The toppings were fresh. The lady behind the counter was really nice. Not sure what else to write. Great place to get frozen yogurt. I am giving them five stars with heavy heart, because I want to start a frozen dessert business too, and this place will be my major competition. I was really hoping to give less stars, but the place is just great.

Island yogurt is a nice little shop tucked away behind the main road. It’s clean and cozy. There is a wide variety of frozen yogurts to choose from as well as toppings. On my visits, I do experience popular flavors low or very liquidy. Maybe it’s the time of day I visit or it’s just me but I do like to eat my frozen yogurt instead of drink it.
Nevertheless I enjoy coming here.

This is a great find, !!! Had a lot of yogurt flavors including taro coconut and regular flavors. Also a lot of fixings including brownies lychee cookies rainbow square jelly things. It’s not expensive at all and they offer a MILITARY discount!!!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would.
I am a creature of habit and always get ½ Cookies & Cream, ½ Chocolate with chocolate syrup and oreos… looooove it.
Hubby is a little more daring. He’ll try different flavors like Taro or make a orange/​vanilla creamsicle, which is crazy good too.
The owner is so nice and so friendly, and always keeps the place super clean :)

Super friend owners and delicious flavored make a great combo for anyone with a froyo craving!

The closest froyo spot to my home (Salt Lake). I’m glad my bowl of goodness hit the spot. I visited with the family last night. The froyo here seemed on the soft and sweeter side but I liked it. I tried the salted caramel – HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I also tried the tart which seemed sweeter than most tarts I’ve tasted. Island yogurt has Dole pineapple flavor-​yippee. I crave that stuff.
The topping bar was clean and plentiful. I might even go out on a limb and say this was one of the most well-​rounded topping bars I’ve seen. I appreciated the variety in the popping boba. Yummmmy!
I can’t forget the customer service. My 3 year old was being a chatterbug and the kind lady entertained all her crazy questions. Also, a male working there was also very kind. He rung us up and offered us our sample cups.
Parking here is no problem so stop on by and get some yay froyo!

Good if you want frozen yogurt that is more on the sweet and creamy side… But it’s more watery than anything. The machines dispense the froyo so fast and easily it involuntarily went all over my hand leaving stickiness. Gratefully, there was hand sanitizer and napkins available. My friend tried the Dole pineapple one but that was the only one that was good. The others all tasted like cheesecake
I’m more of a tart Menchies kind of person.

Very cool place (literally and figuratively).
Nice family owned operation with a friendly staff.
They cleaned up the place nicely since I last was here when it was still «Orange Grove».
The fro-​yo here, I don’t know if its just me, but it taste less powdery then the other fro-​yo places I’ve been at.
Also ample parking.
All of that leads to a 5 star.
I recommend them if you’re looking for a chill desert snack treat and if you’re in Aiea.

My tummy made a sad face when Orange Grove closed down, but is smiling once again because here is Island Yogurt.
I live in Aiea so this is a great location for me and my ‘froyo’ cravings. The lady who I assume is the owner is very sweet. She was telling me how they had to do a lot of repairs to the shop prior to opening and had to order a/​c parts from the mainland. I hope her business does well.
The set up is exactly how Orange Grove was. A wall of flavors including my favorites: cheesecake, strawberry and original tart. I also saw taro, lychee, chocolate, vanilla, cookies and cream and orange. There were a few more but I always get the same flavors and I was anxious to try this out. There are tons of toppings. I was glad that all my favorites were here. Heath bar, white chocolate chips (? Carob), mochi balls, cheesecake squares, condensed milk and strawberries. There were also: various nuts, cereals, fruits and a variety of candies.
The product itself was very yummy. Parking is easy. This place is located across the street from the Aiea Medical building and McDonalds. Across the parking lot where price busters used to be.

Island Yogurt, formerly known as Orange Grove here in the quaint and rustic town of Aiea.
Walked in and noticed different furniture as well as different workers in the facility. Hmm… something’s up. The yogurt machines looked the same, as well as the cups. A few of the flavors were out of service, no problem. That occurred before.
The condiment bar had a different set up. Ok, something’s really different here!
Finally looked up at the lady. Oh! Different lady!
She was a very friendly Korean lady. She explained that the place has a new name, Island Yogurt. Oh! Interesting! What happened?
She further explained that the prior owner was tired and sold the Orange Grove to them. Ahh ok! Mystery solved!
She said that she’ll still honor the old Orange Grove punch cards. Great!
The yogurt was great, as before. Can’t ruin sweets, if you know what I mean. Love it!
Finally, if you’re in the area, stop by and give it a try! You won’t regret it!
