My original dress purchased was a bit too snug. I was nervous because most plus size formal dresses are unattractive and not flattering. With less than a week, Ms. Jasmine was able to fit me in a very elegant and sexy gown. I felt beautiful for my event.
First, your fitting is by appointment and you have Ms. Jasmine’s undivided attention. She has a wide variety of dress sizes and colors and styles. There is truly something for «every body».
After I narrowed my choices, she gave me a day or so to make my selection.
When you pick up the dress, it is altered to your body and pressed-​ready to go.
Customer service was amazing and environment very comfortable. This is one of the best decisions I have made as far as ball dresses.

My experience at True Elegance was great! Jasmine took care of me and my friend Jane. We had been looking for ball dresses online and came across True Elegance on Unilocal.What caught my attention was how beautiful the gowns were and of course the reviews. We were bummed to see that it was appointment only! Luckily when we called to set an appt we were able to go in same day! The appt was so much fun. Jasmine made us feel very comfortable! And found the perfect gowns for us! I walked in feeing insecure about how I would look and walked out feeling more confident than ever. Thank you Jasmine for the great experience. Appt only for a reason!!!– Jasmine makes sure that all of her attention is on you and all your dress selection concerns are carefully addressed. I normally hate dress shopping because I’m really self conscious about how I look in dresses, but Jasmine was so sweet and made me feel extremely comfortable. She doesn’t pressure you in any way, and she truly cares about making you love the way you look and feel. I must have tried on like 20 dresses (and some more than once) but she never once made me feel rushed or frustrated. So I needed a dress for the Navy Day Ball, I went to a few formal dress shops and had no luck. I went to one store, and I was not happy with the quality of the dresses and the prices. The store clerk saw that I was unhappy, with her selection, and told me to try True Elegance,
(there is a lot to be said about a store when your competitors recommend your store). A few days went by before I called, I went to a few more stores, that I knew had better quality than the other stores. Again I had no luck, so I remembered there was a red dress in the window at True Elegance, I even took a pic of it a few days ago. I made that appointment right away, I called and Mrs. Jasmine took me in 30 mins. Went there and she had it all, designer gowns that had top shelf quality, she did not waste any time and got started, I did not even tell her my size, she did not ask, but every dress she picked out fit very well. Her energy was very good, and she is very professional and down to earth. Every store I went to, the service was not that great either, and I was left alone with no help with the dresses. I can honestly say that I’m not impressed with the costumer service here and that took away from the excitement, fun and joy of a woman searching for the perfect dress. When I went to True Elegance, my sprits was on the low, just a little, I had been looking for a week with no luck and bad costumer service. All that changed, when I met Mrs. Jasmine. A store can be the absolute best store, and have everything you want in every way, but if the service is bad in that great store, it destroys the moment for you in every way. I had the best experience, and I felt very comfortable, it was private, cozy and I felt very special. You don’t have to compete with other costumers, and Mrs. Jasmine gives you her undivided attention. Make and appointment, and you have the store and Mrs. Jasmine to yourself, you will be her main focus. Again she is professional, attentive to you and your wants, she knows her products, and knows which one is right for you. Great costumer service, great atmosphere, just a good overall experience for me, I will not be going anywhere else for my formal gowns, for the duration of my time here. Mrs. Jasmine is what makes True Elegance shine, and her merchandise speaks for itself…
O yes, and my red dress… well she did not have it in my size, and my event is exactly one week away, she said she could order it for me, and let me know if it will be delivered in time. She was on top of it, she called me the next morning and told me she could order it, but we would be taking a chance on not getting it in time. I told her how bad I wanted that dress, and she was on top of it and was able to have the dress delivered in less than a week…

I can not say enough good things about my experience today with Jasmine! Not only did she help my find a beautiful gown for the ball… TOMORROW she made me feel comfortable and at ease. I brought my daughter with me and Jasmine was so kind and patient with her. If you are looking for a place to get a gown especially for a military ball look no further! Had a small scheduling oops in the beginning but Jasmine made it up to me and was more than willing to work around my schedule. She has so many dresses to choose from, to buy or rent. I was able to show her some dress styles I was interested in and we were able to find the perfect dress. Still trying to decide on a color but she is more than willing to help find the perfect one. Wish I had gone to her in the previous years. Love that it’s by appointment only because you get those whole store to yourself to try dresses on.

This place is «True Elegence» infeed! The moment you walk into the shop Mrs. Jasmine warmly greets you! She made me feel like Cinderella preparing for the royal ball. She’s knowledgeable about sizes, shapes, swerves and curves and treats her clients as if you are the only one! Her gowns are elegant, distinct and affordable! Oh, and did I say she’s a jewel – you won’t be disappointed.

Let me first start by saying what a awesome experience from start to finish. The shop has beautiful dresses and great service. At first I was a little put off by the appointment only but then it all came together. You basically have the whole store to yourself to try on whatever you like. It’s basically grown up dress up! Definitely recommend for any occasion! Thank you so much for a great experience!

When i stopped by this place because of the 4.5 stars and all the good reviews, i didn’t notice that it was by appointment only. I was even hestitant to call, but i needed a dress badly and she seems to have several varieties as i peeped through the store window. And i’m so glad i did. There was a reason for appointments only, you receive personal service of the utmost care. Where she listens to what you are looking for and lets you decide what is best for you by providing her expert opinion. Jasmine is her name, and it was a pleasure doing business with her. I know where i’ll be when i’m looking for a stunning dress that will turn heads. Thank you, Jasmine, for the wonderful boutique experience.

Got my dress from Jasmine for Submarine ball and I absolutely loved it! I felt like a princess and got so many compliments but that’s besides the main point, Jasmine was very helpful with giving her opinion and I found exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommended!

After shopping almost every where I finally found a place that also caters to (+) size girls. Definitely coming back here again the services was amazing Jasmine took time to bud a connection with me and assure that I like the dress it was fast & easy. The selection of dresses she carries is so unique & gorgeous. Overall I had a good experience.

After visiting do’s formal, calista, David’s bridal, and b’ellegance, this store stood out the most. Jasmine is AWESOME. We called the morning of to schedule an appointment, and scored one right after her lunch break. It’s only her running the store, so you get the full one on one experience. She definitely pampers you and makes sure you try on dresses you were interested in and/​or fits your body type. I had previously found a dress at calista that was about $ 240, and to rent a dress from True Elegance is about $ 200, so the better deal is the calista dress. But I would STRONGLY recommend checking out her store before getting discouraged by other shops. She definitely got me excited for my prom!

Jasmine Baker, Owner of True Elegance, is WONDERFUL! Her shop has beautiful gowns to RENT! We went early January to get a head start on searching for a gown for a prom this April. The first shop we went to was «purchase only» (most were $ 200 – 300 up) then they referred us to True Elegance. I was hoping to rent and not purchase then go through the aftermath of selling a gown that is used just for one night.
Our 2^nd and last stop in our search. True Elegance is appointment only. Jasmine’s EXCELLENT customer service blew us away. She took the time for my daughter to try on every style of gown just to see how each would fit and if she would feel comfortable in. My daughter felt excited and spoiled with the time spent on her by Jasmine, she felt like a princess.
My daughter had a set style she wanted, short black dress. But after looking at all the gowns to choose from, she did a 360° turnaround! She found a gorgeous gown like no other, perfect color and style. My daughter is very petite but Jasmine’s seamstress (which is located in back of her shop downstairs) made the necessary alterations in a week! There was a little discrepancy at her first fitting and Jasmine corrected and accommodated us with the situation. She wanted to make sure that my daughter would be COMPLETELY satisfied as this event is special (and she gave my daughter a hug).
Jasmine, thank you for such a great experience and we look forward to coming back to you for future events. My daughter and I are very excited when she attends her April prom with your gorgeous True Elegance gown. She WILL be truly elegant!
In addition, Jasmine also informed she does tuxedo rentals and has referrals for where to do makeup.

Walking into this store, many dresses already caught my eyes. I found this dress I really liked. The customer service is awesome. The only downside is the pricing for me. I’m on a fairly tight budget for prom dresses. To rent a dress already in the store is $ 208, I’m not sure if alterations are included with that price. To rent a dress at the price of $ 208 for one day was heart breaking since I really did love the dress I tried on. I understand that these dresses are almost $ 500+ retail however, I would’ve expected renting a dress to be much more cheaper. If you have the money, great! If you’re on a budget like me, this may not be the place for you.

Although I haven’t bought my dress yet because it’s still quite too far away, Jasmine have been a jewel! The very first day I called with hesitation, but she was very accommodating and put me at ease; I had a hard time setting up an appointment due to my work schedule and she gladly worked around it. I even got lost on my way to her shop and I was surprised when she asked «do you need me to ride with you?». Now, if that wasn’t good customer service, I don’t know what would. When I got to her store, she addressed all my questions and assured me that we’ll find what I’m looking for; she will not pressure you or persuade you into liking something that’s not your style. Lastly, I would send her a text about the dress details and some information and she replies right back. She is absolutely great at this because it’s obvious that she cares– she will go above and beyond to help her clients.

So I went today looking for a dress for the Marine Corps Ball, Absolute Best Experience Dress shopping I’ve ever had on the Island. So many Beautiful dresses, Ms. Jasmine took her time with me and my friend and she pulled out the most amazing dresses I’ve ever seen, lovely consultant! I definitely recommend coming here!

We were helped so much with finding a dress for a destination. The owner was very nice, helpful and patient through the process. Awesome service. Such a blessing.

The times I have called to make an appointment or ask questions, the owner has been extremely rude with tons of attitude.
It’s mind boggling that people who own businesses think it’s acceptable or okay to behave this way. What a shame because they could have great merchandise in there. But I care about service and how I’m treated. Oh well. On to the next.
