Specializing in being able to quickly diagnose a student’s strengths and weaknesses. Using this information along with solid curriculum instruction on driving techniques and strategies allows them to develop a strong foundation for safe driving and passing a road test in relatively short time.

I choose not to yell and to be patient in explaining and demonstrating. I truly believe in teaching someone, meaning working at their level in the way they can get it. Because of this, I have successfully worked with many students that others have given up on. Some that I have been able to help include foreigners, the very nervous, indecisive, uncoordinated, poor judgment, single task oriented, and many whose relationship is strained with the one who is trying to teach them,

History

Established in 2000.

Established in 2000, Provided classroom, simulator, and behind the wheel instruction through 2002 in affiliation with the YWCA throughout Oahu. Since then, provided classroom instruction Downtown, Keeaumoku, and mostly in Aiea. Behind the wheel instruction ranging from Kapolei, Waipahu, Ewa, Wahiawa, Pearl City, Aiea, Salt Lake, Moanalua, Kalihi, Makiki, Manoa, Kaimuki.

Hawaii Driving Institute has been in business since 2000. During that time, Ron has taught classroom, behind the wheel, and simulator training. He is very privileged to have taught simulator training on the only simulators in Hawaii at the YWCA. Unfortunately, those simulators are no longer available. The experience however, was an invaluable tool for teaching that he now brings both into the classroom and behind. the wheel instruction. His passion for putting safe drivers on the road by teaching defensive driving skills is unparalleled. His mission is to develop and solidify sound foundation for awareness of potential conflict with other roadway users, as well as control of the car skills that will enable them to avoid collisions. Not to be left out are the knowledge of rights of ways and traffic laws. His patience and calmness can be verified by his past students. He has the ability of not only quickly recognizing a student weakness, but teaching to their level of understanding
