This is a super late review of this place and I could have sworn this place changed owners again… Oh well. My husband and I came here as we had a GC. We ordered the mochiko chicken, fish and chips, and salt/pepper shrimp(hold the salt/pepper and add garlic… He he he). The mochiko chicken and shrimp wasn’t anything to get excited over in taste. The shrimp were pretty decently sized for the price and I thought it was awesome for them to basically make me garlic shrimp for the same price. The fish and chips though… They were a-maze-balls(and I don’t use those words together for just anything!)! The fish was so flaky and buttery and perfectly cooked… it was just WOW. Hands down the best fish and chips my husband and I have ever had, and we’ve had a lot as it’s the«go-to» when we are at a new place. The only bad thing is that they never have it anymore. We’ve called several times, and when they do answer their phone, they say that they don’t have any in stock. Once they said they were going to have it and we drove down there and they didn’t. Lame. The tables are outside which can really suck in those summer months, but at least they are always wiped down. The prices were pretty reasonable and the staff was very friendly. If we were basing this review off of the fish and chips alone, it would be a solid 6. But incorporating everything else, like how no one answers the phone during business hours, and we were told to come in for fish and chips and there were none, we have to give this place a 3.5(but I’ll be generous and say 4). I think after the last time we drove down there to get the nonexistent fish and chips we kind of lost that drive to try this place again. But if we knew that there would definitely be fish and chips there, we would come back to this place in a heartbeat.

Good variety of plate lunches to order from when you are not sure what you feel like eating. Ordered the fried rice, meat jun, and combo chicken katsu/teriyaki chicken with fries. All were okay, not exceptional but the prices are reasonable. Lots of parking and the owners are really nice. I would definitely come here again.

OK, I guess, maybe it was a bad day. Wife wanted Filipino food, and I didn’t want to drive. So we Unilocaled nearby Filipino and this was the closest with an acceptable reviews. Wife had the mini-adobo plate, and I had the Korean fried chicken. Taste on both meals were fair at the most. Plus two cans of soda for $ 16. Seems kind of lot to me. Think I would have gone to L&L next time. Sorry.

Excellent service and very friendly staff greet you at the window. The food was full of flavor and the portions were very generous. Exactly, what we were looking for… a quick lunch before heading down the road to Pearl Harbor.

Read reviews and decided to check out this place since its close to home. Disappointing, everything I ordered was oily. Meat jun, fried saimin, garlic chicken. It took 3 paper towels to blot oil from saimin. Meat jun was soggy, and egg batter was little burnt. Oily too. Garlic chicken was ok. The house salad was only iceberg lettuce w/carrot strips.(Not as pictured on the menu, which was like a spring mix). Mac salad unspecial. Service was ok. Coulda gone to any other place for a better plate lunch. Prices are little less, but seems you get what you pay for. I won’t be going back to try anything else.

Great Local Food along with a nice variety of other Asian dishes. I had the chicken fried rise and it was great! My cousin had the Meat Jun and although he personally prefers his Meat Jun«crunchy», he felt the flavor was really good. Awesome, friendly Customer Service — I’ll defnitely be back everytime I’m in the area!

Great selection of local plate lunches, with some Chinese, Korean, Filipino and Japanese dishes. So much to choose from but I ended up with a Korean chicken/Hamburger steak mixed plate. $ 9 for two hamburger patties and a lot of tasty, crispy chicken. 5 stars for one of the best varieties of plates and awesome customer service.

Read the Unilocal reviews so the Mrs and I decided to give this a try. Difficult to decide what to order since there were so many choices, but I recall the chicken plate lunches were recommended. A full order of garlic chix and fried saimin n half order of pork adobo. I enjoyed the chic and adobo, but the fried saimin was too oily. Mac salad was dry and tasteless… zippys Mac salad much better. Free drink expired, but we never order a drink other than water. Four stars except for the fried saimin and Mac salad. I would probably go back and try other dishes but not any of the fried saimin or udon dishes. Mrs wouldn’t though.

A nice place for a decently priced plate lunch. I ordered the pork adobo because I was craving filipino. I personally think what makes filipino food so beautiful, is that everyone has their unique flavor and style of their dishes. Two different people could make adobo but it would be completely not the same. Be wary for those who like to watch their figures, there is a lot of fat in this dish. One chunk I had in my plate was all fat… I ate it… and it was delicious. I’ll pay the consequences when I get to the gym later today. they have very kind and friendly customer service, they deserved to be tipped.

Found out that the new owners of Moon Hoe’s Drive Inn was Eatery in Paradise and was open. We ordered the«chicken fried rice» and«crispy roast chicken». The menu is «almost» the same, with a few Filipino dishes. The food was delicious, but we forgot the ask for the«SAUCE». The sauce really makes the crispy roast chicken awesome. Will certainly patronize Eatery in Paradise soon.

This is a nice little establishment with a good portion of food(not stuffing you so you don’t feel good) at a reasonable price. A great place for take out, but they do had a few outside chairs and tables if you want to eat at this establishment. I really like this place, the employees were friendly and very helpful. They answered by questions about the menu items. I decided to have a combination of the fried chicken and beef jun with all salad. The fried chicken was hot and delicious. I expected like Popeye or KFC type chicken, but it surprisingly it was a chicken breast battered, deep fried, and cut into strips. This was pretty amazing chicken along with the beef jun. Both were not overly battered, but severed hot and definitely not greasy. The owner was very friendly and talked to me as I dined in telling me that they just opened a week ago from the night I had dinner on 3÷13÷14 after I believe he told me they took the business over which use to be Moons. He explained they kept a lot of me more popular menu items from before. A really nice clean establishment with reasonable prices and a good portion of delicious food so you don’t feel like a you ate like a pig when you finish. Recommend you give the place a try, I’d like to see it say around so next time I’m in Hawaii I can hit it up. Oh, and they do have daily special on top of the normal menu items.
