Aiea High School

Overall, we are happy with Aiea High School. The teachers are transparent about what they teaching and how they grade our students. Great opportunities for college prep such as AP courses and JROTC. Having said that, the school is very old and very hot. We (as with many other parents) donated fans, but the fans are just blowing hot air like a hair dryer. Seems that the city should choose a couple schools per hear to get the classrooms properly air conditioned along with the appropriate electrical upgrades to support it.

This review is strictly for their holiday craft fairs!
I’ve been coming to AHS holiday craft fairs for a couple years now. I love the indoor shopping the most! Most craft fairs are 80% outside but here, most vendors are set up in the cafeteria.
This is a fairly small craft fair compared to others but I found a couple of things I was looking for.
There’s barely any parking here and it probably didn’t help that this year there was a sports event in the gym at the same time as the craft fair. I went early so I could find parking and ended up parking at the baseball field parking lot because there was no street parking or parking on campus. Darn it! At the same time, at least I got a stall because when I returned to my car about an hour later, even that parking lot was completely full!
Overall, since I love craft fairs and AHS is so close to my house, I’ll probably continue coming just to check it out!
