This is a great swimming beach to spend the day with your family. The water is very clear so you’ll be able to see a variety of fish swimming around. Theres a variety of water activities that you can take part in such as kayaking, paddle boarding, jet skiing, snorkeling, and diving(from the old dock). If you’re looking to surf this may not be the beach for you. If you’re planning on going, I suggest parking at the municipal lot and paying $ 3.90(including tax) for the whole day which includes in/out privileges. There are bathrooms and showers in the municipal lot that need a lot of work but may come in handy during your stay. Don’t forget to bring your own toilet paper, trust me, you’ll need it! If your going on the weekend, get there early because once the parking lots are filled you’ll have to park on the side of the road, if you’re lucky.

This was our favorite beach in PR because the waves were calm and the sand was really nice. Some tips: 1) if you can, set up between the boats on the beach. This way, if it’s windy– it’ll block the sand. You may have to move when the missing boats come back to shore. 2) We weren’t too sure about the whole parking situation. We ended up paying $ 3 to a very nice man. Not sure how it really works. But perhaps bring cash. 3) There are a few food trucks and the ability to rent chairs. We just packed a large sheet and thought that was fine.

Loved coming here as a child and it definitely was about time for me to get back. GREAT location with AMAZING views! You can’t really beat it. I also went during a beautiful day and it wasn’t too packed. They have food trucks on site and there are also some places nearby if you want to leave for a bit. Keep in mind that the parking is limited(and even the limited parking spots are SMALL). They do have private parking areas for a small fee. CAUTION: The water may look calmer from afar but please be careful. There’s a quick drop once you’re in the water so be sure you’re with a strong swimmer. If not, be sure to stay close to the shore so that the current doesn’t drift you away. Always choose SAFETYFIRST!
