Tutor Time

The staff and environment at Tutor Time are absolutely the BEST.
They are kind, attentive, safe caregivers who love on our girl so well. They’re also consistently striving to make the school even better.
Our daughter loves going here each day and I am so happy to have these sweet teachers and staff look after her.
Note: Ignore the bad press this location has received. IF the allegations were ever true (and it sounds like they weren’t — some moms with time on their hands want to make some cash by suing someone?) — the staff here now is amazing.

Our daughter has been enrolled in Tutor Time since she was 7 months old. We were looking for a daycare that would treat our daughter with as much love and attention as we were giving her. At this age they are still so vulnerable and need so much.
Tutor Time is the only place that I would consider out of all the places I visited. They are really loving and delicate with infants. I could not have imagined leaving my baby at a place I did not feel 100% comfortable with. They respect each infant’s schedule and are very sweet, patient and attentive. Her teachers are beyond amazing and so loving and caring. She always has a smile on his face which is the most comforting thing to see.
Leaving your child at such a young age is hard but when both parents need to work, you want to know your baby is in great hands.

Parents Beware! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE! Worst daycare of all!!! I took my child here a year ago and pulled him out because the director and staff are horrible! I dropped my son off late one morning and and they were setting up the kids cots. I find out that they place sleeping cots in the area where they put the trash filled with diapers and where they wash their hands and not only that they place cots under a shelf which is a liability problem if that shelf breaks and lands on the child while sleeping. The teachers also place cots blocking the exit rows in case of an emergency. When I approached the staff and director about this the teacher raises her voice at me and then tells a whole different story to the director of that school. The director did not handle the situation professionally. She kept calling me sweetie. Ridiculous! That same day after picking up my child I receive a letter stating my child has been removed from school because I went against their policy. The director didn’t say anything when picking up my child that afternoon. There was no talk with the parents. It was just a letter! Oh wow. How absurd! Now hearing about a child abuse in a daycare at Agoura hills Last week in the news that I had a feeling it was tutor time in Agoura hills. And what do u know… looks like my guess was right! I am so happy that I took my child out of this daycare. I’ve taken my child to two different tutor time daycare and I am not happy how the directors and staff run the school.
The director at tutor time in woodland hills is the same. She can care less about the kids. I don’t understand how they become directors. Must be some kind of connection, but I really don’t see that they are capable of running the daycare. The director at the tutor time in woodland hills would see that the little ones are hungry and crying and there is only one teacher in the classroom which is way more than the ratio of teachers to children. The little ones are waiting forever to get their breakfast and I find out that the other teacher is running late. This place is so unorganized.
Parents please think twice before considering taking your child/​children to these two Tutor Time locations. There are better daycare/​schools to take them to. Do your research first.

After reading about the child abuse that has occurred at this location, I will obviously not be bringing my child back for drop in service. I’m really glad that he only was there one month because now that this article surfaced, so many other parents are speaking out about other bad experiences that occurred. Other than the few items I noticed in such a short period of time, it seems like there are many more issues this school has.

Tutor Time is an exceptional preschool! 5-​stars are not enough to describe this amazing place where kids are wonderfully taken care of on all aspects.
If you are searching over reviews for Tutor Time Agoura, you might accidentally come across old stories posted by an ABC journalist. All ABC news reported about Tutor Time are not, not, not true. I am a parent who’s children have been in Tutor Time for a while. The journalist, who came up with «interviews» is Miriam Hernandez — a UCLA graduate with major — Drama. Obviously so! She put up a one-​sided, paid story. it’s was paid by a family who tried to sue Tutor Time with a made up story. It is all about people trying to sue an instruction, hoping that its insurance will come up with a settlement fee. The story is bogus and made up as a tool from the attorney this family used to popularize a non-​existing problem and gain attention. None of the parent bought that, because it is simply not true. The legs of the lies are short.
I am writing this review because it really bothers me when little people are trying to damage the reputation of a great, well-​established and very valuable for the community business, with complete disregard to what that can do to kids.
In Tutor Time Agoura Hills, all teachers are professional, compassionate, caring and the kids thrive in this wonderful, safe and nurturing environment!

I had both my son’s go through the program. I still have their Pre-​k Graduation pictures and diplomas! It was such an enriching experience to have both my boys socialized, to learn early reading, writing and math skills. My youngest had a very difficult time separating from me, and all his teachers would take the time to calm him down and distract him with something fun (and usually messy)! ;)
Now, I have a new daughter and feel blessed she can go to Tutor Time like her big brothers did!

Over a year ago I found myself suddenly raising my 1 & 3 year old grandchildren. My husband and I both work full time and we had to find full time childcare. I toured quite a few facilities before I decided on Tutor Time mainly due to their infant room. I was concerned about their adjustment to daycare but the infant/​toddler teachers were so warm and friendly so I felt confident when they were dropped off the first day. There were of course some tears but not for long! We realized after a short time that it was not the right ‘fit’ for the 3-​year-​old who had some language delays and was already struggling with all of the changes in his very young life. We made the decision to remove him but not because we did not like the school, we just knew he needed something different. We left our granddaughter there and she is now a very sassy 2-​year-​old that is thriving in the environment. She has had some pretty amazing teachers that she has absolutely loved! Ms. Shannon, Ms. Marissa and Ms. Morgan are just a few of the amazing, loving teachers she has been exposed to. We cannot leave until she gives one of them a hug… I saw a comment from a parent that was unhappy about seeing a teacher doing a child’s hair… well, my granddaughter is bi-​racial with lots of curls and I have to say I loved picking her up and seeing how cute her hair looked after they ‘tamed’ it! Dru has been very accommodating and understanding and whenever I have had a question, the Administration team has been really helpful. If you are looking for a small, family daycare then of course, this is not for you… but if you are looking for a school that will let your child know how much they are loved and valued then you have found it.

My daughter has been at tutor time since preschool and is now in their pre k program. She seems to b a happy camper, shes likes her teachers and seems to have no issues with bullies or anything like that. .their facility is clean and secure. Their curriculum is engaging and she gets sent home all her progress and work in her folder each week. They have different ancillary programs like cooking, sports, and dance. .we are happy there overall!

My niece goes here and after spending a day watching her in the toddler program I had to Unilocal.The place is clean and the kids have so many cool things to do, I want to stay here. The staff is amazing and it shows that they love what they do.
This preschool is awesome and very, very clean! Miss Morgan is a stellar example of what a loving preschool teacher should be!
Too bad the disgruntled employees that left moronic messages can’t walk away gracefully.
Thank you for having such a caring atmosphere to make it easy for my sister to leave her daughter while she goes to work.

I recently took a tour of the pre-​k room here and was very impressed. The facility appeared really clean and the staff was friendly. I was really impressed with the pre k teacher Miss Dia who seemed to really understand the needs of the children. The children seemed really happy. My child loved sitting in on their circle time where all the children were eager to participate. 5 stars! happy.

When I recently took a tour of this facility for specifically the preschool room my expectations were met and then some. I was very impressed by the two teachers Miss. Jamie and Miss. Cherry who answered all of my questions and showed extreme professionalism. The site director Dru took time to give an in depth tour of the facility providing me with information of all the rooms. I was impressed with the teacher’s devotion to giving the children a creative, diverse and loving environment. I would highly recommend this facility! The staff are loving, warm and seem to be a very strong team.

Such a well put together welcoming invironment. The staff is polite and helpful and the facility is well maintained. Would definitely recommend it! The center director took over an hour guiding us on a tour and explaining the curriculum to us in detail. Thank you

The staff was nice but I cannot recommend this facility due to unsanitary conditions. My son started here at 3 months old and got very sick. I know it happens when children are exposed but I could not believe my eyes when I dropped off my son there one morning after he was out for two weeks. I found RAT droppings on top of his clothes in his cubby. I wanted to vomit. I immediately pulled him out. I’m not sure if staff has taken appropriate measures since then to clean things up but they gave me the excuse that there is a huge empty lot next to them and it’s hard to keep rodents under control. I would look elsewhere.

My granddaughter has gone here since she was 14 months old. I am her guardian. She is now 4.5 years old and she just asked my why don’t I have a mom and dad? She was so sad in the morning at drop off. When one of the teachers (not hers) Jessica Morals noticed how sad she was she came right over to my child and held her. I explained that Bella was having a very hard time. She took Bella in her arms and said «I will be your mom.» Bella’s face tuned into the biggest smile ever. No money can buy peace of mind when you have to leave your young child. With teachers like Jessica Moralas and Miss Cherry, you cannot give any school less than 5 stars. Bella is eligable to go to transition kindergarten for free, however to give her one more year with these two wonderful teachers, that give her all the love and attention they do, I am keeping her here where she is happy and loved. Great job for hiring teachers like Miss Cherry and Jessica. Not only do they love their jobs but they love the children. They are the best.

This place went downhill and we pulled my daughter out after a teacher pinched her and the owner did nothing.

I also had a horrible experience with Tutor Time. It may be great for some parents but not for me and my child. We all share our experiences but it is up to the parent to ultimately decide where to put their child.
The facility is nice, clean and fancy.
The first day I took my child to that location, they walked me to the outside area where some kids were having breakfast and some playing. The person who walked us over mentioned that we are new to the 2 ladies who were comfortably chatting as they sip their coffee. They waved hello and continued chatting, occasionally looking at the kids. We stood by the swing for 10 minutes and no one came to introduce themselves. I was hoping they would talk to my child, and introduce her to other children and make her feel comfortable to the new place. I had to finally go and ask who the teacher/​aid for that class is.
I agree with Naz with all the issues. I walked in to the room myself where a radio recording was on and the teacher flipping the book. No smile on her face, no emotion, just cold. Half the kids were just sitting there day dreaming and some singing with the recording. I also witnessed the teacher sitting and doing hair to one child while 20 kids are wandering around. Not that she was putting a messy hair in a pony tail but sat down with her whole spray, bush and all. How can a teacher select a child and just make her hair «pretty» while the others are unattended? And is that sanitary? Do parents know what kind of product is used on? is that fair to the other girls? If my child is African American with a different hair texture that can not be sprayed out, how is that affecting my child that the teacher is making on child prettier. It is flat out wrong.
The fourth day, I was told my child doesn’t follow directions. I don’t know how you can say that to a parent with out giving the child time to adjust? My last day, there was a pop song playing on the radio while the kids were being watched. inappropriate!
One last thing, asking the kids to constantly «put their head down» is something that is engraved in my child’s head. If the term is used to put them to nap, maybe better to say «rest time» or «rest your body»
The director maybe passionate about what she does and may have turned that place around but I didn’t see any love except people just clocking in and out.
Again it is every parents decision, our comments are just to make you aware of our experiences.

My daughter has been at Tutor Time for a little over a year now. We love it. The secure facility with a working coded enty was a big selling point, along with the large staff of capable ladies. My daughter LOVES her teachers and cannot stop talking about them after I pick her up. They have lots of fun activites, especially during the summer with petting zoos, bounce houses, and parties.
As for the lower reviews, I have to say my daughter has never left in tears, she LOVES to have her hair done by the teacher (the «spray» is water), and you know what, sometimes your kid needs to be yelled at. Oh my gosh! Yes, I said it. In fact, I raise my voice at my own child on occassion. I feel my child need boundaries at this age. I have dropped in unannounced and never found any child neglected or being treated poorly.

WARNING TO ALL PARENTS! do not believe the false smiles and pretense of this so called fun filled, activity packed caring daycare. This is a big act! the staff are not interested in making children feel cared for and loved, they are quick to dictate what tasks/​activities should be done for the day and do not seem to care what routine the child has come from or the child’s general needs. Staff are continuously changing, several occasions when i made a sudden visit I found babies unchanged, wet and left to a corner on the floor. Toddlers are yelled at for not listening, this i presume continues to older kids. Kids simply learn o adhere to their ways after a long duration and do not know any better unfortunately. No attention is paid to individual children during meal times, story time is a radio recording and NO enthusiasm is shown from the teachers. This is a prison camp for children! Awful, several mothers have complained with kids ranging from infants to preschool. If you love your child you will NOT send them to this location. I have also experienced and felt a sense of prejudice against certain races of children who were treated differently. A sad place indeed, i really feel sorry for the kids here and left in tears.
