Montessori School of Agoura is a traditional Montessori school founded in 1979. We accept students ages 2 — 6 years. Children have the freedom to progress at their own pace, explore their world, make discoveries and draw their own conclusions. Children gain knowledge, confidence and leadership skills. Our low student to teacher ratio in each class provides each child with an individual learning program in an enjoyable setting. A daily enrichment class is included in the tuition. You are invited to tour the school, meet our fantastic teachers and see our newly upgraded playground.

Established in 1979.

Montessori School of Agoura is a traditional Montessori preschool, transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten and First Grade, serving children ages 2 through 7 years. Children have the freedom to progress at their own pace, explore their world, make discoveries and draw their own conclusions. Students gain knowledge, confidence and leadership skills that enable them to offer a positive contribution to their community. Our low student to teacher ratio in each class provides each child with an individual learning program in an enjoyable, stimulating setting. Daily enrichment classes are included in the tuition.

Our daughter had a great experience at this preschool for 2 years — as well as in their summer camp. The teachers are very calm and nurturing and our daughter emerged a socially mature and independent little girl thanks to their support and loving environment. I would, and do, recommend this school to anyone looking for a preschool based not only in academics, but the child’s social and emotional growth as well.

My daughter has been here for 3 years and we are sad to leave. The environment has been so loving, supportive and flexible to our needs that at times, I felt a little too spoiled! Karen, the owner and all the teachers have become like a second family to us. I’ve recommended this school to many friends because of the nurturing environment that exists here.

We switched our daughter from another preschool to Montessori of Agoura last year. I wish we would have made the change much earlier. I was so impressed and surprised how much my child learned and loved this school. The teachers are all very calming and loving. My daughter was happy and at the same time was learning so much each day. The classes are small which gave my daughter a great chance to explore all areas of learning. She is off to K and I can only thank this school for helping her be well prepared!

Prior to enrolling our son last Fall, we visited no less than five Montessori schools in the area. Within minutes of walking into this school, we knew this was the place for our son. The kids were engaged and focused on their projects, and at the same time eager to share what they were working on with each other. Most importantly, at least for my wife and I, everyone — teachers included — were happy to be there.
Over the past year our son has made incredible progress, both socially and intellectually. He has a bunch of new friends that he talks about regularly with a big smile on his face. And he «loves» his teachers — his words, not mine!
As an added bonus, my wife and I have met some interesting parents and made a few new friends. And I just like the vibe of this school. You’ll see when you go there and check it out yourself!

Both of our children attended Montessori School of Agoura from pre-​school through kindergarten and it was an amazing experience for them. The quality of every teacher at this school is top notch. Their priority is providing an environment that teaches the child life values/​skills and how to respect each other, grown-​ups and the community we live in as well as developing an independent curiosity for learning. The education our children received at this school provided a strong foundation in reading, language arts, mathematical concepts, science and problem solving. Add to that Spanish, sign language and music enrichment every week, and many artistic activities that the children were so excited about. The summer program is unique and creative, including weekly-​themed activities but also continuing with academic learning. This is truly the best Montessori school around, and your children will «explore their inner oak» and make friendships here that will last them a lifetime. Thank you MSA!

We put our son in the Montessori of Agoura school for over two years and all of us LOVED the experience. What the school lacks in initial appearance it makes up for with its warmth and quality of all round education. The owner (Karen) and all the teachers clearly love what they do and care about not only the education your child receives but the building of character and values. Our son especially loved Ms. Diane and Ms. Sandy and we thank them for making a wonderful and lasting impression on our boy!

This school was the oddest and, towards the end, the most terrifying experience I have had with a school so far. First they were just uninformative about cirriculum and procedure, then my little girl came home telling me they left her alone in a class while everyone went to the park. I confirmed it with a teacher and tried to get answers from the director but all the director said was that it was a mis– understanding. Whatever that means. We pulled my toddler out of the school and never looked back.
