Stern’s Catering Company

This week I had the pleasure to work with Stern’s Catering for the first time and they did great! I was planning a luncheon with 80+ people and they showed up early, had all of the food warm and ready, and were extremely professional. I have used other caterers in the past and they would need 9 people to do what Miguel and Manuel did with just two!
From the planning process to the delivery to the service and food, everything was excellent! Layla helped us the whole way through, notating all of the specifics that we needed and tailoring the menu to exactly what we wanted. She really listened to everything I said, and took every detail seriously.
Such a professional group of people that are always there when you need them. I would recommend them to anyone and make sure you order their cordon bleu bites, they are amazing.

One of my volunteer projects, Community Partners/​CPS needed coffee to serve up to caseworkers as they picked up school supplies for their clients.
Although my order was a small job and somewhat complicated with a two day delivery, Laila and the delivery staff treated us like a big job, delivering on time as specified with all the coffee condiments and a large covered urn that kept the coffee hot for the 4 hour time frame we needed it.
I am so glad I found Stern’s and happy to know they do so much more with their full catering service. I would highly recommend using Stern’s Catering and hope to have the occasion to use them again soon.

We used Stern’s for my daughter’s wedding and I couldn’t have asked for better. Layla was so helpful and responsive — the perfect person to deal with! We added a kids buffet and a couple of GF meals at the last minute, and she was happy to oblige. (In fact the kids’ buffet was her idea). The staff and servers were professional, smiling and hard working. They kept the tables bussed, and asked if they could do anything else for us. The food was Amazing! We had spinach cannelloni, lemon chicken, green beans with almonds, salad and bread. I am still getting calls from guests telling me how great the food was — not just for a wedding — but they want to know who the caterer was so they can use them too. Our church coordinator said they were the easiest caterer she’s ever dealt with and immediately placed them at priority status on her referral list. They made everything so easy for us and I would heartily recommend them to all!

I was part of a wedding party that helped coordinate the food and we did not go wrong by choosing Stern’s! The process was seamless! Layla was a great contact and handled everything in a timely manner. She was able to take care of all the paperwork and payments over the phone as I was living out of state. When the big day arrived, they showed up with exactly what we talked about during the tasting and with the exact food we tasted. Thank you Stern’s for making our evening stress free.

I just got married and our appetizers and dinner were done by Stern’s Catering. I was already thrilled with them BEFORE the wedding day. They are very nice people and extremely accomodating. I swapped sauces on the entee dishes, changed my choices for appetizers, changed the number of attendants by 25 people, added coffee service, changed the number of attendants again, throw in a vegetarian dish… no matter what my changes, they were happy to help. And great response time too. If I sent an email at 2 pm, I’d have an email back before 5 pm.
Working with a well run company is fantastic, but of course you’re hiring them for the food! I think a lot of people have an idea of what good food is vs. good catered food. If you use Sterns, you just won’t have to worry about making that distinction. It is amazing food! Not amazing catered food… AMAZING FOOD! For appetizers we had the antipasto skewers and spanikopita. Delicious and flavorful! We had 2 entrees; pork chops with a balsamic glaze and chicken florentine. Both were cooked perfectly and still juicy! But my favorite item was the creamy mushroom rice. It was like a really rich risotto and I’m not ashamed to admit I used my roll to sop up the remaining sauce.
And luckily for me, I was concerned about having enough food, so I ordered more than was necessary. I didn’t realize that Sterns already makes a pretty hefty portion, so I had a ton of leftovers. The day after the wedding while everyone was hanging out at my parents’ house, people kept sneaking into the fridge to pick at what was left. People were seriously fighting over who got the last pork chop (Grandpa won, because c’mon, who’s going to fight Grandpa?!).
Lastly, is the event service. We had 2 servers; both prompt, polite, and hard working. Always a smile like they were happy to be joining us. Of course I was late to my own wedding, and I was the only one who knew where things were supposed to go and all that. Since I wasn’t there, they ran with it and were ready on cue without instruction needed. I ran into them again when I went to return a few items we borrowed… still smiling.
I have received numerous compliments from my friends and family, and I know I’ll use Sterns again. I suggest you do the very same!

I just wanted to write another review for Stern’s because their quality and service have continued to shine. We have used them for meeting lunches, employee events and just regular department lunches and the quality of service (not to mention the outstanding food) hasn’t faltered. If anything, it has improved, if that was possible! The guys that come in and set up are so great. They take time to ensure everything looks perfect, so I basically do not have to do anything but let them into the room and tell them where to set up.
The food: Our employees have tried a variety of the catering options Stern’s offers and we have not been disappointed yet! I do have to add that we are quite partial to the fajitas, though. They are outstanding and the fresh guacamole is amazing.
We love Stern’s here at Advancial Federal Credit Union and highly recommend them to any business!

I have called upon the services of Stern’s Catering Co for the past several years. They catered some breakfast but mostly lunches at our corporate office 3 to 4 days out of the week for events that would occur 2 to 3 times a month. Sheila Stern is professional and will make sure you get exactly what you want. She made it easy every time. Everyone on the staff has always exceeded our expectations with delicious food, original ideas, and exceptional service.
They continue to provide quality results. I highly recommend their services and will use them for any catering needs I have in the North Dallas area.
