This is a review on the Christmas brunch. The experience is so delightful that I would like to make it a family tradition. The food was amazing with sushi bar, crêpe bar, omelette bar, meat bar and burger bar. Not to mention the huge selection of cold and hot food and chocolate fountain. The décor was elegant. There was even an ice sculpture! Live singing and piano was there the whole time I dined in. The service was prominent. They made sure that your glass of champagne or mimosa is bottomless. Yes, that is all included! The price is $ 80 per person(gratitude included, but not tax). I know it is not cheap, but you can’t price the experience. They had a real Santa Claus to take pictures with. The family profile is complimentary, you would receive both hard and soft copies. There is a table at entrance filled with ginger bread house materials, perfect for kid activities. I will come again as long as I reside in Dallas.

Are you noticing I gave Q de Cheval 10 stars? Here are the other 5, in case you can’t see: *****. There, now looks much better! I went with a group of friends for brunch on a Sunday in August and i highly recommend you to stop anything you are doing, get dressed, seat down to wait for next Sunday so you will be ready to go. Oh just call to make a reservation before, don’t be like me that made reservation for 15 and showed up with 21 people… I was super lucky the staff is amazing and brought some tables and extra chairs for us. Yes, like in extra extras, because its was all booked. Oh snap! I was about to describe all they have but my friend and guest Dawn already did it, like 3 months ago! Hi Dawn: o) ! What she didn’t mention was the crab legs… omg the most amazing crab legs ever! Huge, clean, very well made with a buttery/slightly sweet and tart sauce. Ohh that’s remind me of the shrimps, also cleaned and very nwell seasoned. What recalls the smoked salmon with capers. And all the hot dishes and pastries and of course the mimosa, sparkling wine… and the carver station… see? Just go there and you will see for yourself! I am kind of biased because I looove hotels and this restaurant is inside the Intercontinental in Addison. So getting this straight: it is a REAL brunch, where you have breakfast and lunch food to choose from. I am super annoyed with«brunch» places where you got to choose one OR another. They even have coffee! Take that, fake brunch places! Top notch service, the staff was fantastic! We will be back for sure, and this time with the correct number of people!

THISPLACE! The FOOD! Brunch for $ 35 well worth it. They have mimosas, bloody marys for the people who want to indulge, juice, water, hot tea(what I had, teeheehee). There’s an omelet and waffle stations, a buffet with all sorts of delights, cheese and fruit station and a crazy crazy dessert station as well. I was hurting when I was done and didn’t need to eat any other big meals the rest of the day. If you’ve heard of it, like I did, but have never tried it, please do. I don’t think you’ll regret it. There are so many food options, it should be please everyone. And they were pretty good with our large group too!

I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t know what to expect because all I knew was that a friend recommended this place. It was great. There was lobster bisque, lox and bagels, croissants, grilled and boiled shrimp, Scottish salmon piccata, steak, omelets, and A LOT more. I definitely recommend it!

We came here for a Sunday brunch and enjoyed our meal. We made several trips so the buffet line because there was so many different options. Some of my favorites were the beef salad and deviled eggs. The dessert bar also had a variety of petite desserts to try.

Amaze craze brunch!!! A little pricey at $ 32.95 per person but the food selections are sensational! The pecan and caramel French toast and the orange roughy sang to me! This is a place I will definitely be going back to and I would recommend trying this place at least once. Let me know what you think! :))

I’m not impressed. A lot of food choices but not very good. Not worth the price. Plus What’s up putting all the white people separate from the minorities.

Service was fabulous. The Christmas brunch for the 2nd time in a row was spot on. Well organized, you walk in with an efficient check in and pre pay… the coat check, then a nice bar for a free pre cocktail. Photo area set up for a free printed photo. My only complaint is they never printed our photo upon leaving as promised, and everyone else seemed to have theirs waiting. This could’ve have been better organized. But still a very nice addition. The brunch was huge and good quality. Never an empty coffee or mimosa. Food refilled quickly and all was fresh. Missed the banana foster this year, but not a big deal. This is a great high end Xmas brunch for $ 71 all in including tip. Hope next year the hotel and restaurant communicate better… They lost my reservation the first booking, I was smart enough to follow up a week before Xmas and confirm then had to re book. Due to this I was going to give 4 stars but a huge brunch on the holiday is hard to pull off and they did a good job.

I can be such a greedy little piglet so I love it when I find quality brunch buffets. I originally visited Q de Cheval in 2011 when they were offering a deal on Travel Zoo. That visit was excellent so I had high hopes the second time around. Like the first time I was very pleased with the quality of food and service that we received. My only complaint is that I couldn’t stuff my stomach more than I did. The menu includes an omelet bar, waffles made to order carving bar(including roast and duck), a dessert table and tons of other items including jumbo shrimp, shrimp and grits, smoked salmon just to name a few. The $ 30/per person price includes bottomless Mimosas and/or Bloody Mary’s and the servers make sure your glass is always full. I agree with the others reviews, when they were running the special with Travel Zoo they were PACKED. However, I was fortunate to have a good experiences both times with my reservation being honored at the agreed upon time. I also appreciate that during both visits I never felt rushed or hurried. I would definitely recommend.

This place has a great little set up. The food is served with great presentation. I had the filet, which was so tender you could cut it with a butter knife and it was cooked to perfection. The grilled asparagus was tasty and tender. The mashed potatoes were full of flavor and lumpy. i was not a fan of the side shrimp, not really cooked to my liking.(a little under done) The bread served before the meal was fresh and enjoyable. The salad was a bed of fresh spring mix with a sweet dressing. It was delectable. I enjoyed my meal and the atmosphere.

Unlike most of the reviews here, my experience involved the Friday evening all-you-can-eat prime rib buffet. I also didn’t have a coupon or anything like that; rather, I had been steered here by a member of our group that had dined here previously. Our band of 11 were seated at an interesting table with near-bar-height chairs and an odd bevel on the edge of the table that required diners to place their plates and glasses well away from the edge and lean over the table an unnatural amount IMO. Weird, but hey, I guess that’s how they roll. Getting to the meat of the matter, though(literally), the prime rib is clearly the star of the show here. At the carving station, you get your slab-o-meat and a whole or half baked potato(if you want), with the latter being customizable from big urns of fresh shredded cheddar, chives, sour cream, bacon and butter. If you are one of «those people» that don’t take your prime rib the way nature intended(medium rare), the chef has a cauldron of boiling liquid at the ready, and after a quick dunk, it’ll come out looking sad, er, uh, more to your liking. My hunk was a beautiful medium rare, a little too thin, but pretty tasty. Moving on to the other areas of the buffet, there are some fairly standard salad components as well as a container of shrimp gumbo. The latter didn’t taste bad, but wasn’t very exciting, either. It needed a darker roux, more okra etc. and the shrimp still had the tails on, making it a messy proposition. Possibly the most disappointing area of the buffet were the«entrée items not entailing huge chunk of roast beast». There was a baked salmon dish with some gloppy sauce, and the salmon was pretty high on the fishy scale. Fried catfish and shrimp pieces were of decent quality, but come on, really? On a buffet that’s $ 25 a head? A few grilled and otherwise prepared vegetable items were available, and were fairly good. On the service front,. our waiter was a little slow in keeping water glasses filled, and the place wasn’t packed to the gills, either. Still, he was nice and accommodating when he was there. My request for a «bloody mary, extra spicy, no celery products of any kind» was delivered exactly as ordered and tasted good. Bottom line: For a buffet at this price, I’d expect more variety and some more dishes that«pushed the envelope», rather than the common standards seen here.

The Sunday brunch here is really great! Bottomless Mimosas or Bloody Mary’s and all you can eat for $ 30PP. Some of the reviews on Unilocal are not so good, but I wonder if that is because the food is truly higher end. The menu is different every week — and I found the mix to be extremely varied and versatile enough to have something for anyone who enjoys haute cuisine.

Hugh is feeling peckish and wanted to munch. Popped into this place for a spot of brunch Eggs, bacon and sausage galore Filled up my plate but I wanted more Over to the carvery for some prime rib Very fatty and juicy I needed a bib Downed 4 mimosas getting a buzz Downed 2 more just because… Back to the food loaded a plate Waddled around I looked such a state Screw the food, free booze for me Back to the champers and time for a pee Two bottles gone time for the tab 37.21 which I thought was fab.

I found a voucher on Travel-zoo for what sounded like a wonderful brunch with my husband and excuse to get out of our usual radius. Wow $ 29 plus gratuity for unlimited bloody Mary’s and a nice menu for two people? what a bargain! I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing because we ended up leaving without trying the food. I called for reservation as instructed on the voucher. But was told they were booked and it was first come — first served. We pulled up to valet and the nice man asked if we were here for brunch. «How did he know?», I wondered. I wish he had warned me. Walking in the expansive lobby I saw a hoard of unhappy people standing in line at the restaurant entrance. We waited like sheep. The side door opened and it looked like we were being allowed in, but hopes were dashed when the closed the door again and then we waited more. Not a single hotel or restaurant staff had greeted us or spoken a word about the process. I decided to go rogue and walk up to what looked like a maitre d. I asked what the line was for. He said it was for the ballroom but there was open seating in the lounge. That would have been good to know had we been greeted. Most of the tables in the lounge had reserved signs but there were a few perches left. We fooled around and didn’t run to the lounge because while we were trying to chose a seat, someone swooped in and we were left standing like idiots. Back to the line, only farther back this time. I could feel my frustration and disappointment boiling up. Soup kitchens must be more hospitable. We were being«handled» as if we were getting something for free. This is not the experience I was expecting since I have never witnessed anything so ridiculous. I think they made a deal with Travel-Zoo because business was slow and they wanted more traffic. I think they sold more than they could deliver. Businesses depend on people buying vouchers and never redeeming them. Perhaps the food was good, I’ll never know because we left. I spent $ 29 on a lesson on how to never buy vouchers again.

The food was wonderful and plentiful for brunch. The experience and service are horrible without a reservation. I’ll sum it as shopping the day after Thanksgiving. without a reservation you are left to fend for yourself in the huge bar outside. Grab a table, wait an eternity for someone to bring coffee cups and then you are allowed to go into the restaurant to get your plate. One person needs to stay at the table so if you are a couple dinng then you don’t eat together. The lines are LONG inside and the staff is light. We paid $ 80.00 for two people(no drinks) and ate alone. Do not waste your money. If you do decide to go have someone fill two plates for the person holding the table. I can’t imagine it being any better«inside» because the lines for the food are so long. Hire more wait staff! Or better yet don’t put people in the bar.

I love the modern, yet comfortable, look of this restaurant. The Q Lounge is equally inviting and a great place to sit and enjoy a cocktail. I’ve eaten at the Q de Cheval twice for dinner and also had Sunday Brunch there twice. All four visits were memorable — in a good way! Let me start with brunch. It’s a great value at about $ 30 per person, Including Mimosa or Bloody Mary. Shrimp, perfect Eggs Benedict, smoked salmon, salads, cheese, carving station, made to order omelets or waffles, entrees, and sinful bite-sized desserts What an outstanding deal. Service was attentive but not too fussy. Live music. The evening meals were also outstanding. I have a wheat allergy and the server made sure I stayed clear of anything containing wheat. I selected the halibut with cucumber cream sauce. Both times! Holy cow, was it amazing. I wanted to lick the plate. My table-mates wanted to lick my plate, too, after they tasted my meal. But they were delighted with their choices, which included deep-fried lobster. Yes, you heard me right. Cooked with a batter(wheat) so I couldn’t try it but based on their raves I would if I could. Try the creamed peas if they have them. So great. It’s on my go-there-again-soon list.

My husband and I went to Q de Cheval for Sunday brunch. The restaurant opened fairly recently inside the Hotel Intercontinental. The restaurant is gorgeous. New and clean with floor to ceiling windows and comfortable furniture. It feels like your outside with the comfort of a/c. The brunch is a buffet and beautifully presented. More than enough to chose from. Let’s see, a variety of salads, cheeses, breakfast dishes, hot food, and a carving station. You must, must, must, leave room for dessert. After you get a peek at the dessert station, you’ll know why. Everything tastes as good as it looks. Mimosas, champagne, and Bloody Marys are included for only $ 39. The servers are attentive and a used plate never stays on your table for long. I suggest making a reservation. By the time we left, the line was getting long. We’ll definitely be back.

I have been eager to check out Q de Cheval since I read an article about the new restaurant just after they opened. It looked and sounded great, and located super close to my house(inside the Hotel Intercontinental). I kept waiting for Unilocal reviews, but since none had been posted prior to my visit I decided to just go for it. Sugar Bear and I did the Travel Zoo voucher: $ 29 for a 2 person brunch. The tip and gratuity were $ 15.75(they figure it for you and give you a bill). Not a bad deal for brunch that is usually $ 60 before tax and tip. The brunch was all you can eat and unlimited mimosas and bloody marys. There were several food stations: the muffin/rolls/bagels with toppings(including lox and all the accouterments), hot food station(chicken and waffles, kobe meatloaf, mushroom truffle soup, garlic mashed potatoes, chicken and rice, chiliquiles, eggs benedict, etc.), the fruit and cheese station(lots of yummy cheeses and interesting fruits… not just the expected ones), cold salad station(smoked trout spread, pasta and chicken salad, turkey and cranberry salad, shrimp, etc.), omlette/roast beef carving/waffle station(I didn’t go to this one… it looked good though) and the massive dessert station(cake balls, a variety of mousse desserts, lots of cakes, tarts, pies, a chocolate tower, flan, etc.). The drinks were not particularly strong, but they were OK. I like my bloody marys super spicy, and that was not an option here. I had to request celery and green olives for my bloody mary… it came with just a lime. The food was good for $ 29 for two, but not something I would pay the regular $ 30 per person. I can’t eat enough to make it worth it, and the food was not that kind of quality. Since it is buffet style, nothing is hot enough for me or spiced the way ‘I’ want it to be… it has to be suitable for the masses. Because of the Travel Zoo coupons, it was massively crowded. I don’t think they were used to having such a crowd. The servers were having a hard time busing the tables in a timely manner. I got tired of looking at my stinky shrimp shells and the empty drink glasses taking up space on our tiny two top table, so I ended up busing our cups and dishes between rounds. They also ran out of soup bowls, and the wait staff and management seemed oblivious to this issue. People were becoming peeved trying to find the elusive bowls, so I finally said something to the manager. In general, the service was just sloppy for this caliber of restaurant. They need to tighten it up and hire more bus boys for busy brunch days… especially if they hope the Travel Zoo voucher folks will return for full price. The restaurant is lovely. There was a live guitar player performing, and he was excellent. I appreciated that he was not overly loud, but you could hear him throughout the restaurant. His music included many popular tunes, but it was done in a way that would not offend the ears of older diners and the church crowd. The bathroom is in outside of the restaurant across from the bar. That experience was just bizarre. There were 4 commodes, but only 2 doors. Two toilets lacked doors or a divider. I think they might be preparing to make these two stalls into one handicapped stall since there was not one, but it would have been nice to have a sign. Every woman that walked in made a comment about how weird this situation appeared. It was comical and tacky for a nice hotel/restaurant. I was not blown away by my overall experience here, so it is doubtful that I will be back.
