Noooooo, please come back. Please!!! I’ve never loved food so much until I had one of Scotts crepes! Heartbroken they’re gone. I’ll have you in my dreams sweet, sweet tiramisu crêpe. :’(

The Flippin Out website states that they are«temporarily» closed. I am doubtful that they will open back up. This place was consistently great with the original chef there. After he left, the quality and service of this restaurant went downhill rather quickly. I’ve been putting of saying this in a review format, since my husband and I were in love with this restaurant from the day it debuted at Taste Addison. Fear not, though. If you love Chef Scott’s food, he can be found at TJ’s Seafood Market on Oak Lawn, where he’s making some amazing seafood dishes.

Delicious crepes! I love the salmon/lox one. It’s super tiny, but I guess that makes it unique. There’s only patio seating out back, but they made the best of it, decorated, and even have a chest with board games!

Sweet baby Jesus, the Tyson Chandler crêpe was divine! We are visiting Dallas for a week and stopped to check this place out after reading other reviews. We arrived at 10:30am, just as they were opening. The credit card machine wasn’t working and they were only serving the savory and sweet crepes, not the specials I had intended to order. Turns out, this was a blessing in disguise as we ordered the Tyson and Lemon Chicken crepes instead and both were delicious(although the latter could benefit from a little side sauce). The ingredients tasted fresh and well-seasoned. Our crepes were accompanied by bags of chips, not house made chips as other reviewers mentioned, but that was ok. We had no room for sweet crepes, so we capped our meal off with a latte and café au lait, both were excellent. The service was friendly and fast and the back patio was a charming place to enjoy our food. We were the only ones eating outside in the cold, but they still turned the music on for us. I will definitely be back for that tiramisu crêpe!

Came here for«breakfast» on Sunday around 11AM. It was soooo empty. I was excited to get a breakfast crêpe but of course, I changed my mind once I saw the other menu options so I ended up with a Mediteranean crêpe as lunch while bf got the lox crêpe. It was so delicious… The parmesean garlic sauce was perfect and the combination of artichoke, shrimp and sauteed spinach was heavenly.(craving this right now, mouth is watering). The place itself is super tiny but cozy, we ordered, got our food within a few minutes and walked around the corner in the little back patio. It was really nice(a bit windy) but I loved the music playing and the chest of games. Had I seen that earlier, we would have played a round of connect four before eating! The drive through looks really convenient. They also had yummy coffee drinks; we were going to go to Starbucks on the way home but this place had some tempting latte flavors. Bf also got a hambone crêpe to go and loved that too.

It a small place but they have awesome crepes. You need to look around the walls to view all of their menu. You order inside, get the crepes and head backside to the benches. There is also drive through. I went there just for their dessert crepes but my husband liked the savory one too — Mile High club. The creamy mascarpone with the the expresso and caramel all rolled in a crêpe is so heavenly. Totally agree with Melanie C. — I too said OMG everytime I took a bite. I loved every bit of it. Will have to get there and try the other dessert crepes. Their mochas were good too — such a rich coffee aroma, it kind of grew on me.

I moaned and said OMG like 10 times when I had their Tiramisu Crepes. I inhaled it in the car on the way to Barnes and Nobles down the street for a super late lunch around 3. I finished the rest in the parking lot. …Don’t judge me. I also tried two different breakfast options as well, the one with the steak and the other with smoked salmon. Both were good, but the Tiramisu one is my fave. It tastes sinful and heavenly at the same time. Very delectable. Lovely décor, friendly staff, and amazing crepes. I will definitely be back.

Best crepes ever. Which one is my favorite? Honestly, I’d go with the Nutella one BUT whenever a group of us go, we just order a bunch and share them all. Haven’t had one we didn’t like yet. Ingredients are so fresh that they grow them behind the restaurant! Veggies, herbs, and the like grow back there and get used in your crêpe. I can totally respect that. I’d go back in a heartbeat. In fact, I feel like going today!

My husband and I went to have crepes for breakfast. I had the Spaniard and my husband and the Honey Badger. They were AWESOME! I liked Chef Scott. He seemed to really know what he is doing. We will defiantly be going back.

#AllergenInfo: Soy, Nuts: The chef here is very cognizant of his ingredients, and on multiple occasions has been able to accommodate me with my soy allergy, and one of my friends who has a nut allergy. I don’t think I can praise this place enough, and I’m sorry it has taken me so long to write this review. I and two of my friends wanted to try Fadi’s Grill, but they had soy in almost everything on the menu, so we came here as Plan B, and we haven’t regretted it. Chef Scott at Flippin Out knew his ingredients, and didn’t have any problems making sure I and my friend with the nut allergy had a wonderful and safe lunch. He later told us when he worked at a prior restaurant, he had customer come in with multiple allergies. With some effort he was able to accommodate her, and she became a very loyal customer. I’ve been working my way through his menu over the months since we first went there, but the first crêpe I had, has become my favorite: The Philly. Because of my allergy, it had been more than a decade since I’d had a Philly sandwich, and this absolutely wonderful rendition reminded me of why Phillys are a classic flavor combination. I’ll continue to try other items on his menu, but Flippin Out is where I’ll come when I need to satisfy my need for a Philly fix. This place may have been a Plan B at first, but it now a regular Plan A, and an occasional back-up plan when I take a risk on a new restaurant. Even if you don’t have a food allergy, you’re likely to find something to love here.

I’ve been looking for a little creperie just like this since we moved to Dallas, so we were delighted to stumble upon Flippin Out here on Unilocal! I had a Philly cheese crêpe and my hubby had a Hangover crêpe. We were both beyond happy with not only the food but the service as well. Robert gave us a full run down of the menu as well as a bunch of options that weren’t on the menu and as our crepes were being made the owner Chef Scott came in and gave us a brief history of the place! What a great spot with exceptional service and sinfully delicious menu options!

I am so glad that I stopped by Flippin Out this morning. What a gem! I’ve driven by this place a few times, and I always try to remember to remind myself to try it out. Anyway, today it crossed my mind, and I decided to give it a try. As soon as I drove up, I could tell that Flippin Out is different. It’s got a really chill vibe – it reminds me of what Austin was like when I was in college :) All the little details – the way the space is organized, the handwritten menu, the extremely friendly people who work there – makes me think that this place CARES about their customers. I ordered a caramel italian soda and a caprese crêpe. Both were absolutely fantastic & I wouldn’t change a thing. I will DEFINITELY be back. I can’t wait to try the nutella!

The crepes here are beyond more delicious than any other crêpe place I’ve had thus far. *They’re stuffed pretty thick. Other places I’ve been barely put anything in their crepes and are usually flat. *Awesome prices. *Great service. We tried out their Nutella crêpe and the Tyson Chandler crêpe. Verdict: BOTHDELICIOUS. The Tyson Chandler is made with roasted chicken with mushrooms, spinach served with a bacon cheese sauce, and house-made chips on the side. The Nutella crêpe speaks for itself and puts IHOP’s and Sweet Mix’s Nutella crepes to shame.

If this isn’t the most adorable little love shack of crepes and all things yummy, I don’t know what is?! Don’t be alarmed to find this teeny yet adorable joint populating the middle of a random parking lot in Addision off Beltline, because it’s what’s inside, right! Not the largest Crêpe fan, I found Flippin’ Out to be incredibly refreshing in their attempt to bring Crepes onto the overpopulated restaurant scene in Addison. We definitely are not inundated with crêpe locations like the ubiquitous taco or froyo place, so the sudden exciting arrival spiked my interest and compelled me to make the drive up North. I am so please I did. As I mentioned before, I was already excited at the sheer size of the place. But once I studied the menu, I was over the moon about their savory crêpe option. Something about nutella crammed into a doughy substance doesn’t appeal to me. But delicious mozzarella, tomato, and basil in a perfectly sweetened(not too sweet) crêpe did appeal — cue the Caprese Crêpe. I received my carb and veggie nutrition of the day in one stop. The service was friendly and seemed genuinely excited to employ awesome customer service as the manager walked us through each item on the menu with enthusiasm. Perk Alert — though the place is too small to sit inside, there is a lovely, inviting patio catering to a lovely breakfast or lunch outside.

While in Dallas, decided to give this place a shot, I have to say, I was somewhat disappointed. We had the sweet crepes: –Tiramisu — Creamy mascarpone cheese laced with espresso topped with chocolate and caramel sauce, this was the best of the two, not bad, however, if you don’t eat it right away, it will no longer be good –Li’l Suzie — Orange slices and sweet mascarpone cheese drizzled with a caramel Grand Marnier sauce, I felt like there were too little orange slices, and too much mascarpone, and not enough sauce, making the whole thing too creamy, and unbearable This is probably my last visit here.

Alright… 2nd update to my reviews here. I finally got a chance to try the Austin Crêpe. And it was very good! Crunchy granola, sweet tangy yogurt, fresh fruit, and tasty honey. Seriously, it’s made of win. I still ADORE the Nutella crêpe because it’s amazing and oh man. Now I’m drooling. I’ve still only tried the sweet crepes, but I still mean to try some of the savory ones. Chef Scott posts some amazing weekend-only specials on their Facebook/Twitter. and some of them have looked DELICIOUS. The sweet ones got me drooling more than the savory ones, but again. that’s just how I roll. I’m really excited now that they’ve expanded the patio more and enclosed it a bit. Doesn’t really feel like you’re sitting in a parking lot anymore! Plus, they’ve added some live music here and there. And, Chef Scott is growing fresh herbs out back too! And to Stan L’s reviews: they make their crepes fresh in the kitchen! No packaged crepes here! I think sometimes they might make a few ahead of time for peak times– but not all of them!

This building has been about 10 different things over the past few years but I sure hope Flippin Out Crepes sticks around. So far I’ve tried several of their crepes and have been impressed. First I had the Cuban which was my favorite. The pork was delicious and the salsa that comes with it was excellent. I tried a few bites of the Gulf coast crêpe that my wife bought and I didn’t really care for it. I just didn’t care for the flavor or consistency. A few days later we tried the breakfast crepes and those did not disappoint either. I had the Laredo which was very very good. It hit the stop on a Saturday morning. Their coffee is pretty darn good too!

This place just opened today so we thought we’d try it out for lunch. We definitely didn’t regret our decision! It’s a very small hut without any seating, so you can go in and carry out or drive through, so know what to expect. We tried the Tyson Chandler(chicken, spinach, mushrooms and a bacon/cheese sauce) and the Hambone(ham, swiss cheese). The crepes were awesome though not what you usually think of when you hear crêpe. They are served rolled up into a cone shape, so you can easily pick it up and eat it. It takes away a little of the thinness of the crêpe, if that’s what you’re in for, but it definitely works for the taste! We also tried the Granita(frozen espresso), which are available with shots of flavor(vanilla, strawberry, etc.) and the frozen lemonade. I usually don’t like coffee, but after trying a sample, I had one with a shot of vanilla and loved it. Our son loved the frozen lemonade and the little sip I had was really good. We’ll definitely return despite living in north Plano.

A strong 3.5, rolling up to a 4. Drive through service — 5 Friendly welcome — 5 Food — 3.5 Been anxiously awaiting this spot(founded by the Aw Shucks folks) to open just down the street from my kitchen. Today is THEDAY, their first day to offer these pretty darn good crepes! Rolled into the drive through around 0900 and ordered their Gulf Coast crêpe with Shrimp, Crab, etc; however, at this time, lunch items are not available until 1000. So scrolled down the large menu listing the breakfast items and chose the Laredo. Upon driving to the window, greeted by Byron, a cheery guy in a white chef’s jacket, welcoming me to FOC. A second friendly chef dressed young man also stuck his head out the window, thanking me for stopping by, and told me that in the near future all items on the menu would be available at any time, but for now, lunch items are offered beginning @ 1000. ME — «No problem, Sir, I’ll be back I am sure.» Arriving home, took my lovely packaged crêpe out of the container, and WOW; this is the fattest, plumpest, hugest crêpe I’ve ever seen. It’s rolled up tight like a Burrito, making it easy to hold if eating on the run in the car. The crêpe itself: Light, tender, soft, with just a hint of sweetness. The ends of the crêpe that were tucked in were a little too crispy, but not off putting. I liked very much! The filling: The Laredo includes potatoes, roasted peppers, egg & cheddar cheese. The tasty filling was most generous; it was a LOT of food for my appetite. I could only finish half of this monster crêpe. Yep, I enjoyed it ‘tho I am not much of a «breakfast» foodie. It was good. The accompanying sauce was interesting; it’s a dark brown color, like chocolate; perhaps a Mole sauce? But, oh boy, it had one heck of a kick on the back of the tongue. A little too much for my wimpy palate, but real heat lovers will probably shout out a loud HURRAH! Nice menu of savory, sweet, & breakfast crepes and hot and cold drinks. Very reasonable prices; my breakfast feast today, $ 4.11. What a deal! Several other crepes(mmm, a Nutella crêpe sounds mighty appealing for a real sugar high!) are calling my name so I am anxious to give them a try. TIP — I live 5 minutes away, so my crêpe was still warm when I plated it at home. If not close by, one might have to wrap this fat morsel in some foil and heat it in the oven for a few minutes. Potential Return Factor — a very strong«10»
