I called about 4 days before my event and was able to order what I needed. I was afraid with short notice I wouldn’t, but Big D came through! Very impressed with the delivery and pick up. Super easy. I will definitely use them again!

I searched several companies and chose this one because it listed McKinney as its’ address and we were looking for a local company. The website was very easy to use and the prices were listed which made it very convenient. I spoke to a rep who was very helpful and friendly. They delivered and picked up on time. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because their warehouse is actually in Addison and we would have preferred to have picked up the tables and chairs ourselves to save the delivery charge (their offices are located in McKinney). We only needed a few tables and chairs so the delivery charge was equal to the rental cost, but overall a great company and I will rent from them again.

I loved that I was called 15 — 20 minutes before delivery. This should be a marketing feature of your services. I was never wondering if my items were going to arrive on time or were going to be picked up. Jordan and Gwen were also fabulous. Highly recommend!

I had an 200 person event at my house and used Big D for the tent, string lights, tables and chairs. Everything turned out perfect. My guests were so surprised when they pulled up to my house. Their pricing was very competitive and customer service was great. I would definitely use them again.

NIGHTMARE. i am from los angeles and found this company online, scheduled a lot of pipe and base from them, gave credit card authorization for which they confirmed receipt of and then didn’t make the delivery. called the emergency phone number — no one returned call after several attempts. when I finally got ahold of the office they said they got another big order and didn’t have enough for my order — no one called to let me know they were not making the delivery. just left me hanging with no support to get this order fulfilled.

Big D provided the dance floor for our wedding. They brought it in and picked it up with no problem. Their staff is fantastic about responding and communicating in a quick and efficient manner regarding questions and follow up. Thank you!

I work at a catering company and was blessed to come across Big D Party Rentals while searching the internet. The staff is very professional and the rentals are always in good condition. The best part is that it is affordable.

Atrociously organized pickups, difficult to communicate with over the weekend. The very opposite of what a venue needs in a rental company.

Big D provided two tents, tables, chairs, plates, flatware, glasses, and more for our wedding. They were always very easy to work with in the process of getting quotes. Anytime I sent revisions (usually in the evening) they always sent a revised quote back to me early the next morning.
One of the reasons I chose Big D over other companies is that I really wanted a pole tent. I did a lot of research about pole tents vs. frame tents. Some tent companies out there (especially the ones that cater toward the wedding world) don’t offer pole tents because, they say, the center pole gets in the way. For me, I think the center pole and seeing the interior tent structure are what make being in the tent very cool.
The only hiccup was that the inside of the tent ceiling was a bit dirtier than I expected. I called and they didn’t hesitate to send a crew out to clean it the next day. The tents ended up going up on a Thursday, being cleaned on Friday, and the wedding was Saturday. They were able to clean the tent without spraying water everywhere. There was no mess. I was very impressed.

I had gone to another rental company for a backyard wedding tables, chairs and table cloths before I found this place. Right away I saw the same tables, chairs and table cloths for a much affordable price. I had a good overall experience. A very helpful and friendly staff that answered all my questions. The supply were delivered on time and picked up on time.

I recently used Big D Party & Event Rentals and was unaware of the initial review of the company. I had a special event that required a lot of juggling of information from the location to the actual items being rented. That meant a lot of phone calls changing items, times and locations. Once I was in the their system they were able to pull up my contract number and no matter who I dealt with they could review the notes on file and pick up where it last left off. Every representative was helpful and accommodating. I did review the project each time with each rep, but that was more for my benefit than the their need to do so.
In the end when it came time to put the 50% down and go over final details I decided it was best to go into their office in Addison. I’ve been to other places in town and though others may ‘put on a show’ I appreciated their getting down to business office environment. It was nice, the people were welcoming, and I felt at ease especially given my particular rental needs and all the changes.
I was greeted by the owner who happened to be passing by the front desk. Surprisingly, He took it upon himself to ask how he could help. I gave him the contract number, he briefed himself on the job, and asked what brought me in that day. I wrapped the deal up and was impressed by the owners personal interest in making sure my event went off with out a hiccup. He took great pride in his company and was happy to have me as a customer. I complimented him on his team, and he said he was proud of them and glad they helped me out so much.
Given that miscommunications can always happen, I can say in this instance, they did not. Maybe there was training involved, maybe the other review was accounted for and changes were made. Ideally maybe that’s what these reviews can do, they can create a better experience for others. It did in my case. The event turned out great, I had a great experience, and I look forward to renting from them again for two more events coming up.

We’ve used Big D Party Rentals three times now and my wife and I are always impressed with the quality of their items you get for the price.
We have picked the items up twice from their warehouse and they load the tables and chairs into our SUV and unload when we bring them back.
The delivery service was great to have when we had a event at our home, they did a full set up in the backyard and brought in al the dishes and wine glasses into the kitchen. They dropped off all the items on Friday for our Saturday party and came back on Monday which gave us time to set up.
Everyone is very friendly and the delivery guys made sure we were happy with the set up before they left.

I don’t recommend this place for rentals. They have bad customer service. They provided me with misinformation numerous times when I wanted to reserve a rental for a big event. When I was ready to reserve I was told that the item I needed was unavailable. This didn’t make sense since I spoke to to several reps (over a month) and an employee IN-​PERSON that told me that what I needed was and would be available for my specified date and event. I became upset and called back to talk to a different rep assuming that the initial one, I spoke to, was confused and didn’t know what she was talking about. Naomi answered my second call and was extremely rude and basically accused me of lying since I had no printed quote I could provide.
However, when I came IN-​PERSON I was never offered a written quote and no one sat down with me to crunch the numbers. Consequently, how is that my fault? I didn’t know that they offered that service since that was my first time soliciting their services. When I called the next morning to complain to the manager, Chris, he confirmed that they were incorrect and what I needed was indeed available. He then gave me an obviously fake apology for troubles, because I had to scramble last minute to find another rental location, which added to my stress, since no one working at Big D rentals knows anything about what they carry in-​house or giving good customer service.
I ended up using another rental place, but was going to give this place one more chance, when last minute I needed something additional for my event. I called and asked about the same rental item they had given me trouble and misinformation about previously and guess what? It was deja vu. The woman who answered the phone said they didn’t have the same item, until I told her I talked to the manager recently and he stated otherwise. She then put me on hold, and came back to confirm that I was correct. I decided to look elsewhere again. Obviously the staff isn’t properly trained and the manager didn’t take my issue into account and inform the staff about giving out accurate information and being familiar with the items they have in stock. I doubt he talked to Naomi about her rudeness either. If you’re executing an event and want to rent something from this place be careful. You could get screwed over, since no one there seems to know what is going on and will give you mixed information for a month and a half. That was my personal experience.
