This company is as good as it gets! I cant say enough good things about John or his company! Excellent work, excellent communication, good prices! Last November John ran a trenchless line both into my house and from the sidewalk to the middle of the street. Before he began the work, he explained EVERYTHING and showed me what was going on and what needed to be done, even going as far as telling me to shop around if I needed to. He did the work quickly and I really cant believe how clean he and his crew left my home when they were finished! Last week, I needed the sewer line on the other side of my home completely re done.
He rerouted the sewer line so my kitchen flooring didn’t need to be torn up… this was a big job and he completed it in 2 days! Ive had plenty of people do work at my home and unfortunately it was mostly pretty poor work. John was a breath of fresh air. I would recommend The Rooter Drain Expert to anyone I care about! wow. i don’t leave a lot of reviews but i am telling you these guys were GREAT! i have lived in my home for 11 years now. since forever the sewer has been backing up. every year we pay hundreds and hundreds to snake and hydro jet it out. finally this year it, and we, just couldn’t take it anymore. the roots were growing in so fast it was ridiculous. well after closing i saw the sewer backing up not just into the cleanout in the backyard but also into my children’s bathroom! EWW! i called and manny came out THAT NIGHT. seriously. no extra late night charge even. just came out to help us. he camera’d the line and told us what needed to happen. unfortunately it was 10k worth of work to completely reline the sewer line — we had 60 ft of hillside piping, some of which had to be manually dug up. my husband and i freaked at the price of course. manny cleaned the line up so we could take time to make our decision. we contacted another company. same price. and told us the same thing manny did. if we didn’t do it this way now, re-​lining, we’d be looking at tearing up the street to the tune of 20k. we went with manny. he was SO available whenever we had any questions. fit us right in. came with a large crew and unbelievable equipment. super friendly professional crew. seriously, the whole time i felt like he was treating us the way he would have treated his own family. yes, it cost a lot, but i think that was bc of the work we had to do, not bc of him. we had 6 – 7 guys, two FULL days worth of work, and over 60 ft of hillside digging, re lining and piping new. hope your job is less work and less money. but whatever it is, i would trust manny absolutely. they were AMAZING!!!

If you install your sh*t improperly, and hope the customer doesn’t find out, then that is just shady business. Especially when you won’t fix what you installed improperly. A warranty covers parts, like a phone or transmission. Negligence by your installer isn’t a product warranty issue, it’s a training and business issue. It is your reputation! You guys installed my drain line improperly and it failed FAAAARRR before your warranty period ended. It’s not only flat because you improperly supported it, but also out of line because you installed it improperly. Then you claim it is my fault because I contacted you about it after your supposed warranty period? Bulls**t! Your product failed during the warranty period. You are liable to fix it or give me my money back. How am I supposed to see something buried in the ground? I trusted you guys! You can’t even stand by your service enough to accept that you installed things improperly. This is completely your fault. Your business will suffer because of this.

I am writing this review to help others. I had a VERY negative experience with this firm. It started with an $ 89 service call and ended up costing me $ 3700. I had 2 reputable plumbers review the work done. It was unnecessary and poorly done. The pipe they dug up my yard to replace became disconnected when they put the dirt back on it. In my opinion, this firm is unethical. Stay away. Use a reputable plumbing service. These guys just want to upsell you into unnecessary work after hooking you with a low cost service call. Beware if they tell you that you needs liner. Get a second opinion.

I’ve been dealing with roots clogging up my main sewer line for many years. Called Rooter Drain to come out to snake the drain and they had someone at my house within an hour. After fixing the problem, Adan ran a camera thru the line to check on cracks and/​or bad connections — and we found quite a few — so, he easily convinced me it was finally time to put in a new trenchless system. It was a low pressure sale — after very little haggling I felt like the price was a good value and while I didn’t do a lot of research the things I did find based on my job, it seemed like I was getting a good deal.
Additionally, I really was impressed with all of the guys that came to work on the project (especially Adan). They were polite, friendly, professional, did a great job explaining everything to me and most importantly, were very fast. They did a fairly big job (75′ trenchless + added 27′ 6″ liner to hook into my main city tie-​in) and was done in a little more than a day. I’ve got a 25 year guarantee too. So, it wasn’t cheap but it feels good now that’s its done.
Was also shocked and impressed with how well they got my front lawn back to looking normal (after digging up a very big hole to get to the line). Almost couldn’t tell 48 hours that any work had been done.
Give ‘em a shot. Good experience.

I have an old house with iron pipes that wont drain. The Rooter Drain Experts came as my 3^rd estimate. Manny R and crew arrived on time and explained in detail what my options were… to repair or to replace. I didn’t feel pressured to opt for the more costly alternative, unlike my two previous estimates. I decided to go with the cheaper fix and Manny reassured me that he would get the old pipes draining. After getting an estimate and some negotiating, they got to work quickly.
These guys are true professionals. They have the right tools and manpower. They would even give me DIY tips to avoid unnecessary plumber visits. They also fixed other leaks they found, for free. I paid them the same amount as was estimated. With all the extra time they spent to do the job right, I feel I got a great deal!

These guys are awesome and work very hard. I don’t know whats up with the negative reviews, but man this is a crisis and these guys come in and get the job done. If you want good service you have to pay for it, and thats what these guys provide… Good service and hard work. I definitely recommend them and will use them again in the future.

My bathroom sink and my shower were backed up and I saw on their website that they offer $ 65 drain cleaning Rooter Service and they service EVERY drain.
I called them and they came within 45 min which was impressive but their quote was $ 120 for each drain. They said it was because I don’t have an outside drain. No exceptions were listed on their website however. I didn’t appreciate their false advertising and the difference in price so I called a different plumber.

My bathtub was starting to fill up with water every time anyone took a shower, then the toilet started overflowing. So I went to Home Depot and rented a 100′ snake to try and clear the drain myself. The snake went down pretty easy and came back clean… hmmm. Maybe just a piece of toilet paper that I cleared? OK, the toilet flushes just fine now. The next day’s shower proved that I had not fixed the problem. I found The Rooter Drain Expert on Google and had them come out for an estimate. Nick and George showed up and told me what they were going to do; first run a longer snake then run the camera down to check the path. Since my clean out was inside the house the snake didn’t really have enough ‘oomph’ after all the turns it had to make so it was decided to put a clean out outside and try again. Bummer, how much? When the clean out was installed Nick then again ran the camera down we discovered many roots. After about an hour of hydro-​jetting, the lines cleared and we then found the drain had broken a part (nothing but dirt) and had cracks almost throughout the line. I know, I saw it with my own eyes. Double Bummer. (My house was built in 1949 so not really a surprise). This turned into the nightmare job from hell. What were they going to gouge me for as I pretty much had no other choice at this point (unless I wanted no shower and toilet while waiting on other plumbers to come out and access). The supervisor Brandon showed up while all this was going on and started the ‘pitch’(oh boy here we go). BUT, I felt like he was feeling my situation as well as trying to make a deal. It’s a tough read when dealing with ‘car salesmen’, but I felt comfortable in what he had to say. I listened to his advise and solution. In the end I feel he gave me the best deal he could and that’s all anyone in my situation can ask for, plus I now have a 15 year warranty. We went ahead and replaced the sewer line with the trench-​less system. All the guys, Nick, George and Juan worked extremely hard way into the night to finish the job (they left at 11pm after starting the job around 11am). The bid was the bid and no other fees were tacked on. The job went smooth and the best part of the whole thing (objectively) was the fact that they cleaned up their mess as if they were never there. That to me showed pride in their work and total professionalism. I would have no hesitations using The Rooter Drain Expert services again, great company

This company is NOT HONEST and NOT PROFESSIONAL.
They had to return the following day with a more experienced plumber and with a camera that wasn’t broken. They had told me that the problem was NOT FIXABLE and that replacing the pipes from the house all the way to the street was the ONLY way we would be able to use our toilets again. The estimate for them to do the repair was upwards of $ 10,000.
They charged $ 300 for the «camera» and when I asked them to see images from this «camera» or a video that would support the need to do this very expensive repair they said they didn’t have any and assured me that its normal not to provide them.
I, unfamiliar with this process, signed the bill and paid it.
I then called another plumber that used a camera and showed me pictures of my pipes for that camera fee. They then repaired the problem for $ 99 dollars and 6 months later, we are still doing great.
The Rooter Drain expert knew I was having a party for my 2 year old the following day and would have happily taken me for thousands of dollars on the spot for an unnecessary repair.
I disputed the camera charge with AMEX and was awarded the money back. The Rooter Drain Expert then threatened to put a lien on my home if I didn’t pay them for services rendered.

These guys did a great job, they are fair and professional. They fixed the problem and were really nice. I would recomend them to everybody I dont understand why the negative reviews, you get what you pay for and in my case I feel it was a great deal.

I don’t think there are many companies on Unilocal that will have all their customers happy 100% of the time, so take this for what it’s worth… Personally, I had a good experience with the company, especially Nick. He was very professional and courteous. He explained everything to me, and showed me what the issue was with intelligence and technology (camera in the drain lines). I know enough about plumbing to get me into trouble, so when he explained the situation, I knew what he was talking about. And the things I didn’t know, he explained in detail. If I ever have another plumbing issue, I will return to this company and ask For Nick to personally come out.

I’m writing this review as they are finishing up an amazing job in my front yard.
I live in a house with a couple of roommates. One morning I awoke to the screams of my lovely female roomie, followed closely by the even higher pitched screams of my lovely male roomie. Every drain in the house was bubbling over with… for lack of a better word… SEWAGE.
I immediately called another Rooter company. (*cough* ROTO), who– in all honesty, were very kind and knowledgeable, and after an initial snake and camera snake ($ 115), they stated that they would need to hydro-​jet the pipes in order to fix the problem. with a quote of 1200 + upwards of 4000 if there were more problems…
I ran inside and quickly googled other «rooters» in the neighborhood and came across The Rooter Drain Expert’s, called them, and they quoted me at $ 375 for a hydro-​jet service. IDA answered, and she was very helpful and charming; understanding that I was skeptical, because $ 375 is less than HALF of the $ 1200 Roto was charging, but she assured me it was legit.
MANNY showed up the same day, was very professional, invited me to watch the process for the hydro-​jet, and showed me on the HD camera snake everything that was being done.
Unfortunately, our pipes (from the 1960s) were clay, and roots had destroyed a large section of the main sewer pipeline (which Manny showed me on the camera snake), so the hydro-​jet was useless. HOWEVER, he quoted me at a reasonable 2900, and put the money from the failed hydro-​jet towards the cost, gave me a 25 year warranty, 3 year warranty on pipes they didn’t even touch. PLUS, relaid concrete from where they had to dig for free. Grand total of fixed EVERYTHING came to $ 2525… all in less than 48 hrs TOTAL.
50% LESS of what other rooter companies offered!

The Rooter Drain Expert deserves five stars. For about a month now, I have been having my drain backup. I had Mike Diamond come out. They could not solve the problem.
I finally called The Rooter Drain Expert. They came out and tried snaking out the drain. Still no success. They ran a camera down the drain pipe and could not go further than 63 feet. Oscar from The Rooter Drain Expert was determined to get our drain unclogged. There was some type of barrier that the snake would go through, but then it would close back up. We had to find away to clear out that barrier, so we could figure out what was clogging up our drain.
The decision was made to have the JET ROOTER system used. This is a high pressure water system using over 3000psi of water pressure. He placed this Jet Rooter system in the drain pipe, and was able to get past the 63 foot mark. He ran the camera down again and could not go past 75 feet. He then put their Jet Rooter system back down the drain. Finally success and a big Methane Gas smell, let us know we had cleared the drain. This took dedication from Oscar and The Rooter Drain Expert team.
The camera was placed down the drain again, and we succeeded in going clear to the Main Sewer line in the street. Three things had caused the clog: Toiled Paper had formed a ball, we had cast iron pipe for 24 feet that was rough and catching the toilet paper, and the third was some type of lid that was in the drain.
After consulting with the The Rooter Drain Expert, we knew we had to replace the Cast Iron pipe using theirtrenchless sewer pipe replacement.
Their prices beat Mike Diamond by 50 percent. They kept us informed at all times. I highly recommend their service. Their price is great. Their customer service is excellent.

Great experience! They arrived at the tail end of the hour window (that always blows) but then they diagnosed and snaked the drain and with a great attitude and for a reasonable price $ 100.
Hopefully, I don’t need them again, but if I do, I’ll have them come and clean my pipes, bow chica bow bowwwwww!

My first review sorry it has to be negative. Had a main line sewer backup and my regular guy was too busy so I called these guys. Seem professional but said they couldn’t get drain clear and needed to bring in a 750.00 machine. Seemed high so I gave them the 50 fee and called back my regular guy. He came out and had drain clear in ten minutes. Seems like the Expert Rooter guys are running a scam. Be careful!

I got a mailer for plumbing service stuck to my front gate. So, I put it on my fridge with the rest of the ads and thought nothing more of it.
A few months later, my toilet valve stopped working. Instead of throwing darts at the yellow pages or doing random internet searches, I decided to call the Rooter Drain Experts Inc.
Manny called me back right away to schedule a service date that fit into my schedule. He was very pleasant and his quote came in at least 50% less than everyone else, so I was skeptical to say the least.
When it came time for service, Oscar came by and installed the valve. He patiently explained what needed to be changed and how the part worked.
I was extremely surprised at how professional and nice these folks were.
(This after getting ripped by Roto Rooter the last time, being unwittingly mooned by countless previous plumbers, exposed to B.O. that would break a Geiger counter etc. You get the picture)
To top it off, my final price was less than their over-​the-​phone quote.
I would definitely recommend the Rooter Drain Experts Inc, Manny, Oscar and rest of the crew.
