Aamco Transmissions

The service I received was excellent. The manager John took care of me from our first phone conversation to the completion of the job. I appreciate how he walked me through the entire process. I definitely would recommend this location to anyone. This was my first experience with AAMCO and, I will continue to do business with this company.

AVOID. Zero stars. What this AAMCO is doing is CRIMINAL. They are utterly dishonest and take advantage, making up a completely fictional $ 1,000 repair instead of fixing the real issue (a misfiring cylinder). I wish I had read the hidden reviews for this place (that Unilocal is not recommending). You should be ashamed of yourself, AAMCO. I cried in your waiting room for hours, thousands of miles from my home, and I overheard you selling multiple unnecessary catalytic converters to other customers who put their trust and safety in your hands just like I did. I deserve a 100% refund and a sincere apology for the trauma that you put me through. Your business practice is horrific.

My A/​C was not getting very cold so we called up one morning before a road trip, the manager, John agreed to squeeze us in last minute. When we got there, John was honestly one of the most genuinely nice people I’ve ever met. He said he does free diagnostics and if they find a problem, he will let us know the price to fix it before he goes ahead with anything. My car was low on freon. When he presented the price to me he wrote it out very clearly and broke everything down so I could see what I was getting and what it cost. It was an easy fix, but they also put a dye in it so I could come back and check if my car had a leak somewhere.
My boyfriend also took his truck into him because he thought he had a transmission problem. When we came back to get the truck John said there was no problem with the transmission (it was something else, much cheaper to fix… I can’t remember). I really appreciate his honesty and genuinely nice personality, and even though there are probably 10 other car care places between my house and this AAMCO, I will always drive the extra 15 minutes to take my car to John.
