Business Owner

After graduating from college with a psychology degree in 2011, I was excited to start my career. I searched long and hard for a job within my field but quickly found out I needed a masters to pursue many of the jobs that were available. Within a few months I began working for a benefits enrollment company and soon moved to a small accounting firm. While the people were fantastic, I soon realized the cubicle life wasn’t for me. I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives and soon found myself brainstorming ideas for what I could do to challenge myself and be happy within my career.

After much discussion with my husband, I thought either teaching or working with animals would make me the happiest. I did research on businesses that work with pets and was pleasantly surprised with how much there was a need for daily pet care. In February 2014, I started Waggity Tails.
