History
Established in 1950.
United’s roots go back to 1916 when our founder, H.D. Snell, opened his first United Cash Store in Sayre, Oklahoma. Today, we operate 37 United Supermarkets stores in 24 West Texas communities. H.D. «Jack» Snell, Jr., introduced United to Lubbock in the 1950s, Wichita Falls in the 1960s and Amarillo in the 1970s. From the beginning, our focus has been on treating each guest the way we would want to be treated.
