WH Smith

This WHsmith store is located in the Grand Arcade Shopping centre in Wigan, with enterances on street and Arndale level.
This store may look very small as you pass it, in the Grand Arcade but you go down a small passage to get into the store and then it is quite big.
They is a good range of newspapers, revision studies and a wide range of books although if it is books you are after I would reccomened Waterstones across the way.
I struggled to find a member of staff when I needed one, even walking around the store as most of them were hanging around the tills.
They is self service tills, but they can’t be used for lottery.
The staff could of made more of an effort to appear friendlier.
I like how this store looks small but is actually fairly large and has enterances from the street and from the arndale, which means if it is raining you can just cut through here and you are under shelter quicker.
WHsmith normally has high prices so the majority of the office supplies they have are not worth spending money on, It is hard to see ringbinders more expensive than here, most books are at RRP instead of reduced like at retailers such as Amazon.
Appearance wise this is quite a nice store, but the staff could be much better, so could the pricing and maybe some different stock to make them stand out from the crowd in the Arndale, I feel 2 stars is a fair rating for this store, as it is just satisfactory and probably not in the best few WHsmith stores, I have ever been in.
