Great Fish and Chips and nice friendly staff spotlessly clean. Carol is back and the old Substation name went with the old owner now called Lloyds. The standard of food and service has come back with Carol.
I drive miles to get my supper from there.

Use Carols every week, always busy when i go. In my opinion best chips in the area. Prices arent too bad either. Really hot in the shop tho :-s

Carols make the most orange chips on the planet! This is possibly the best chip shop in the area, the food is good, the price is good and its in a very quiet area so there isn’t much queuing! The only real criticism is they were hardly ever open, but I think the management has changed and they seem to be open all the time now!

i love the food from here and sat in recently and it was very enjoyable. the fish and roe are expensive and a family eat is never cheap here. its been renamed as the sub station and has been recently revamped. they do local delicacies like faggots nad peas and grey peas and bacon a black country tradition.
