Excellent variety and topings, very fresh, unique combinations, and always tasty. Service could use a lil work, but still ok. Great prices, small selection of beers but good selection of wines. One of the best chain restaurants in England in my opinion.

The last couple of visits we have made to Torquay, we have aimed to visit Pizza Express as all in all it left a very good memory. The place is well laid out and the location is very much ideal. We had ordered our Pizza’s and I then had to use the facilities of the restaurant, which are reached around the rear of the open plan kitchen via a set of stairs. As I went by the kitchen I could see a guy preparing a pizza — in clear view. As he had finished topping the pizza, with both arms over the top of it he vigorously rubbed his hands up and down his arms making sure he was over the pizza!
My wife never was told about this and I hope she never knows! It almost makes me urge to think of such a topping! Needless to say — I don’t think we will visit again…

I always enjoy a meal at Pizza Express and the Torquay restaurant was no disappointment. We went on a quiet day so had fantastic service and a table in the window and sat and watched the world go by.
I found the staff to be very friendly and attentive and the restaurant was spotless.
The location close to the harbour is lovely. The pizza was great and the service excellent. We also enjoyed the dough balls, I can’t comment on the puddings as I had no room left for them. I will definitely go there again, I think the only drawback is car parking is not available at the restaurant.

First of all let me just start off by saying the Pizza in Pizza Express was gorgeous however everything else was not
When i went there i must say i was appalled by the service, there were 3 of us yet we were crammed on a two person table and only when we saw a 3 person table open up did we ask to move there, they didnt even offer.
Next problem was that we ordered a salad, yet that didnt arrive and it was too much effort to grab any of the staffs attention as they just run past you. Also we were not offered pepper on our pizza as they were walking around all the tables offerng it, it was only at the end after we had finished did the member of staff remember to offer it us.
The pizza was also very small
The experience i had at this store wasnt so good but they were busy and i feel it was a one off but none the less the experience was bad.
