Oak Tree Cafe

Had a lovely «Flying Breakfast» here. Attached is a cheeky corner beer bar. Not certain if they pour for breky but sure does in the afternoons. Cheap and cheerful.

Teresa at the Oak Tree Café in the Victorian Market Hall also runs the Chestergate. On Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays she baked fresh plate pies, with proper pastry and gravy! her minced steak is my fave and I get her to text me when its due out of the oven as there’s always competition for the first pristine piece!
She is also the only place round here where you get rag pudding — a local speciality. She butys them from Emma at Deli Delights in the Produce Hall, so uits a great way of keeping sales in the local community.
She does proper puds with custard too.
