I go here for lunch almost every week– it is generally quite crowded between 12 – 2. Service at the counter is extremely slow, but once you order things generally arrive quite quickly. Food is good and there is a wide range. Good wifi connection if you use the university network, so makes a good place for meetings. Best seat is the little window box if you can get it– fun to people watch from there.

A university run enterprise, this little secret coffee shop is filled with hungry students making the most of the cheap prices (students get a further discount on the already bargain food) and hearty food and drinks. The building itself has been around for centuries and the interior reflects this with photos of famous St Andrews students and honorary professors. Try to get a seat in the stone vault for the real ancient atmosphere.
