Specialties
For four generations, since Bennett Jannetta left the small village of Atina near Casino in Italy, we have been producing our much loved premium Gelato in St Andrews.
We only use the finest ingredients in our recipe, many of which are imported from Italy.
All our Gelato is made using traditional artisan machinery, here on the premises by our skilled Gelato makers. Using their creativity they bring a range of both classic and modern flavours for you to choose from.
History
Established in 1908.
In 1908 my Great Grandfather, Bennett Jannetta started the family business at 31 South Street, St Andrews as a soda parlour and tobacconist. My grandfather Charlie, at the same time as maintaining the ice cream side of the business, expanded into fish and chips by opening a restaurant on the premises next door. In the late sixties and seventies my parents expanded the range of flavours dramatically and refurbished the shop into a modern Italian Gelateria.
My husband and I have been running the business for the last twenty years. Our aim is to carry on the family tradition of making only the best quality Gelato and we are always looking to create new and delicious flavours. We have recently opened a new Gelateria in George Street, Perth which of course has a large range of our award winning flavours.
