What a great Korean spot! First off, this was my first time eating at a Korean BBQ place and I was not dissapointed! The food was absolutely tasty and extremely filling. We ordered plates of their various rice dishes, highly recommend the seafood rice dish, along with the meats and seafood that you grill for your self. I got the kalbi beef, my husband got the prawns(shrimp) and our friends got other types of beef. The meat is accompanied with the freshest cabbage leaves in which you place your cooked meat on them and drizzle a sauce, which you have a few to choose from that they bring to your table. It was such a great experience and beautifully decorated restaurant The service was on point as the waiter was extremely attentive to our needs. I would highly recommend this to anyone in the area. The only thing to keep in mind was the pricing. It came out to about 70 pounds for 4 people, so it is a bit more pricier, but I think well worth it!

Richmond is a beautiful part of London. However, I find that Richmond lacks a lot of good places to eat. Oppa always looks closed from the outside. I remember one night when my husband and I were deciding between Maki and Oppa(both on Kew Road and right across from each other) and went with Maki’s because Oppa looked closed. Anyways, we found out that they were not closed at all when a couple friends went and said they really enjoyed some of dishes there. It was a group of 4 and we wanted to show our friends(who have never been to Korean BBQ before), some freaking Korean BBQ! Ordered the Oppa Special for BBQ as the waiter said it would be enough for 4(it wasn’t). Also ordered the glass noodles with veggies(very good), Korean fried chicken with chili sauce(it was more like Chinese Kung Pao chicken) and seafood pancake(weak AF, don’t even bother). The small plate of assorted ban chan(marinated seaweed, kimchee and stir fried bean sprouts) was nice but a bit cheeky considering authentic Korean restaurants usually would saturate your table with at least 6 – 8 dishes of different ban chan if you do Korean BBQ for 4 people. The service was amazing, they checked up on us every 10 minutes or so. While the BBQ experience and the ambience of the restaurant was nice, the amount you get is not really worth your money. It came to about £18pp and we left feeling… not hungry but not satisfied. The ambience was really nice and I would probably try them again for lunch.
