Not impressed. Went today and was a little surprised by them. Unfortunately, I am genuinely exempt from wearing a mask. It depletes my oxygen and causes me to loose consciousness. I have no choice. I can’t wear one.
They claimed that if I don’t wear one, or can not show them an exemption card, they could be fined and so therefore couldn’t allow us to access their premises. Now, maybe her boss has made an ass of her by lying to her, or she thinks everyone else is plain ignorant as won’t know she is talking nonsense. I know what the rules are. I work in a shop and I am exempt. People in my position red to know the rules, Exemption cards can be obtained by anyone and are not mandatory. No one has to provide any form evidence of exemption, and a widely available internet print out isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on. It means absolutely nothing! I would have totally respected them if they had the decency to call it company policy, rather than spin a yarn about non existent fines. Makes you wonder how transparent and trust worthy they are. No one like that is coming near me with a needle! I genuinely wouldn’t have minded being turned away due to company policy. I’d have respect for that. I’ve no care for being lied to and treated like an idiot though. That behaviour benefits no one.
