I’ve not been here since I was a student. Whoops, mistake! I forgot how tasty the food is.
This is an Asian fusion place that’s been going for quite a few years now as it’s perennially popular for selling tasty, reasonably priced food.
I shared a starter of salt and pepper squid which was crisply battered and delicious, quite frankly. This was £4.30 and it’s a fairly large starter. This was followed by a yummy and very filling pad thai. There was both chichen and prawn present, as there should be. No stinginess with the ingredients here I’m glad to say. The pad thai was £8.60 and generously proportioned.
I also tried tastes of Thai fish cakes and pork dumplings thanks to my fellow diners. Both were really fresh and tasty. Everyone seemed very happy with their meals.
The décor is up to date and attractive. I liked the traditional bench seating. Now the students are away for the summer there’s no problem getting seated either so I would recommend getting there soon.

Absolutely loved Fuzion. It’s situated in Fallowfield and is an Asian style restaurant with long wooden benches and casual dining. It felt so much more authentic than similar chain restaurants like Wagamama and was reasonably priced too. I opted for the vegetable gyozas to start which are little Japanese pan fried dumplings and they were extremely good. Each dumpling had loads of filling and the sauce that accompanied them was just right too. For main I had the pad thai and the portion was massive. Everything in the dish was extremely fresh and it all tasted delicious. Everyone in our group was really happy with their food which came out very quickly. The service was extremely friendly and efficient they were even prepared to box up some people’s leftovers so they could take them home to finish later. The cocktails were also good value with a bellini costing £4.50. An interesting thing to try would be the Vietnamese coffee which is brewed in front of you. Can’t wait to go back.

Don’t understand what people are raving about. Pretty Bland/​tasteless vegetarian options, been a few times now and always leave feeling disappointed/​ripped off. Wouldn’t recommend for vegetarians.

Just realised I’ve never written a review for Fuzion, and given that I frequently rave about it to my friends I found this unacceptable.
Fuzion is, in my opinion, by far the best place to eat in Fallowfield. The portions are more than generous, the prices are insanely reasonable. The food itself is super super tasty– without doubt best prawn toast I have ever tasted. I never manage to step in the door without ordering salt and pepper vegetables– trust me– I am not one to order veggie options but this is an exception! The mains are fantastic– they do the most authentic phở bo I’ve eaten since ‘Nam. It’s nice enough to take your parents. I love it.
One tip though– unless they’ve changed this, they don’t take card so grab some cash round the corner before you go in!

This place is excellent, in fact it’s truly brilliant in almost every way except the food. Fortunately, the food is pretty damn good too, though the rest of the place is even better.
Let’s get past the boring stuff first. The décor looks like Wagamamas, though the specials board is written pretty nicely in chalk and all, which is a good touch.
Now, the food. This is really nice. The flavours are nice and bold yet well balanced. The chilli dishes are spicy, but also have a good depth of flavour with the other ingredients (in my dish the lime and coriander were very evident despite the heat of the sauce). The starters/​sides were especially nice, and my friends were kind enough to let me sample so I can tell you that the tempura is well seasoned and light, the ‘chicken chopsticks’ (long thing spring rolls) are a good twist on an old favourite and the chicken yakatori was really tasty, great sesame seeds. The pork dumplings weren’t great, but on the whole the food was lovely. My Asian friends (one is Aussie) reported the food was very tasty, if not always authentic. Personally that’s good enough for me, though authenticity has its charms I’m more concerned by flavour.
But lots of places have good quality food and decent décor, what gets Fuzion a rare 5 stars? The service and the prices. Our table of 8 was served promptly, without error and with more than service with a smile. The waiting staff would crack jokes and make little one-​liners as they served, and weren’t at all perturbed by a fairly raucous student group. And when the bill came, service wasn’t even included, remarkable.
That wasn’t the only pleasant surprise on the bill. Mains at £8 were a meal in themselves. Portions here are impressive to say the least, and left us all very satisfied, whether we’d indulged in a side or not. The unlimited green tea for £1.35 was fantastic as well, as were the special offers (two courses for £8 on Mondays. Madness!).
Frankly, this place serves very good food at simply amazing prices and in simply amazing ‘style’. My only regret is over-​ordering, and for that I have to give this place the full 5 stars.

I’d agree on the whole with what the other reviews say about Fuzion. Up until a few months ago, I would happily go there every week for a treat, not feeling too guilty because the food was still healthy and cheap, and there were even loyalty cards giving free spring rolls after 3 visits, free salt and pepper chips after 6 visits and a free main meal after 9 visits, and I certainly went there enough to make the most of this!
However, over the summer the menu was amended, with some new dishes added that I have yet to try and also the average price for the meals going up by a couple of pounds, now this is still fairly cheap but edging closer to the wagamama price. And there has been no sign of the loyalty cards, though this might have changed by now. I still enjoy the food very much, and almost always go for the beef in black bean sauce with crispy noodles, though the special varieties are delicious and there is so much choice to create your ideal dish. Side dishes I would say are overpriced and you don’t really need them as portions are huge. The staff are great, always very welcoming and attentive though it does get very busy on weekend evenings especially in term time when students are around.
I do really like going to fuzion, but it is such a shame they raised the prices, but then I suppose it was inevitable.

Wow. I’m officially jealous of Manchester now. Whilst staying with a friend we grabbed a swift dinner here and I couldn’t believe how quick, cheap and easy it was in Fuzion. Essentially it’s just like a Tampopo or similar, with a variety of solid Asian fusion choices, but in a fast food kind of way. Usually that means that you have to suffer cheaper meats, and I’ve had fast food like this before so I was expecting at least a bit of gristle with my meal, but not a bit was in sight. So it wasn’t just fast, but great quality.
The food was fresh, flavoursome and the service was fantastic. I enjoyed a delicious udon dish with some delightful green Jasmine tea all served with a healthy portion of smiles. If you’re after something tasty, healthy and fast this should be your first port of call. Forget the other chains, this is the one with personality and it doesn’t scrimp on the portions either. Yummer!

Ways to be jealous of ELH, part one. I’ve just moved house. This is a mere minute around the corner. Cue cat stroking and evil laugh, I’m not even sorry.
I love noodles, they’re fun to eat (except on dates perhaps when you’re trying to look as dainty as possible), they’re filling and they’re usually packed with super healthy bits and bobs. Thus I was all kinds of happy, having been impressed with the likes of Wagamama, Tampopo, Wasabi and friends, to try Fuzion on for size. And I’m very glad I did, because it’s a great little option. Fuzion has inspired me to create my Fallowfield’s Finest list. That is to say that for every group of fried chicken, kebab or mediocre pizza places, there’s a Kosmos, an Ichiban, a Thai Banana, a Trof, a Font, a Corner, a Blue Ginger and a Fuzion dotted in between. A rose amongst thorns, a gem amongst rubble. And while there may be disadvantages to walking the streets of Fallowfield in the eve (such as nightbuses full of passed out students or hoards of fancy-​dress donned drunkards), places like this and their student-​friendly prices more than make up for it.
So it’s cheap and cheerful, and you’re getting high quality in big portions. There’s a pretty darn wide choice too, essentially you can pick any dish and add whatever noodles you want, be it soba, udon, vermicelli or such. Everything’s tasty and fresh; my veggie ramen soup with extra tofu was exactly what the doctor ordered, and Natasha’s right on those prawn crackers — the Thai spiced ones. Do it. Vegetarians and peskies are more than catered for, and the communal benches and cosy atmosphere make it feel very friendly and warm.
So, students on a budget (or recent house-​movers in the red, ahem) CAN get some fresh, wholesome food, and the free green tea refills definitely help matters. Fuzion’s a necessity in Fallowfield and it’s certainly utilised to the max. Plus you can get takeaways from there… you do have to collect but it’s definitely worth it. I’m sold!

Fuzion is my favourite Fallowfield eatery… mostly because of the simple fact that they do noodles, and they do them good. Fat noodles, thin noodles, soup noodles, all kinds of noodles! I like noodles, by the way, if you hadn’t already guessed. I don’t think there are enough noodle bars around. Though I don’t know if that’s my slightly skewed opinion from growing up in a small town where a Chinese chow mein is about as exotic as it gets. Either way, I’m mighty pleased that I now have this corner of the market on my doorstep.
I brought friends here, I’ve brought dates here, and I’ve never been let down (or stood up, thankfully!). However, heed my advice: thou shalt not wear short skirts to Fuzion. The tables are arranged in rows with long benches that you have to climb over to sit down, and I will take my hat off to anyone who manages to do that in a skirt and still keep their dignity! I suffered badly enough in a mere pair of jeans which decided to tear at a very inopportune moment, luckily my date saw the funny side, or I would have spent the rest of the meal hiding behind my menu. However, if you ask me, it’s all part of the fun and games! And it definitely doesn’t put me off coming here.
Fussy eater? I am almost certain you will find something to enjoy on this extensive menu, I always spend forever trying to narrow it down to a shortlist, there really is so much to choose from. There are even a couple of sections which are basically ‘create-​your-​own’ with rice or noodles. Or for the more adventurous I recommend the nasi gorgeng: Indonesian aromatic spicy rice dish with chicken, char sui and prawns, flavoured with chilli sauce and shrimp paste. I’m salivating at the mere thought of it.
Great selection of starters and side orders as well. Which leads me to a final helpful hint: don’t be boring and go for the basic prawn crackers. No sir, you can do better than that. Chilli prawn crackers? With chilli dip? Now we’re talking!

I can’t go wrong with a nasi goreng from Fuzion, even if your spelt with a «zee.» This along with the skewered satay chicken makes my day. Described as the fresh pan experience, Fuzion does exactly what it says on the tin.
This is a true Fallowfield masterpiece, Fuzion is about freshness, flavour and fair fair prices. I love the choice I have to face every time I come here, it’s a tricky decision but I know there’s two choices on the menu that never fail me.
I don’t have any complaints about Fuzion, except there should be more space so no one should be kept waiting for Fuzion food. Become part of the Fuzion Friendz and pop in your mobile number to get updates and offers. Genius all round.

Fuzion Noodle bar in Fallowfield is a restaurant I have frequented far too many times to not put it in my top 5 favourites. In one infamous week, I visited four times. Simply a testament to how scrumptious their food is. The restaurantis set in the classic oriental communal seating, similar to Wagamamas which makes for some interesting eavesdropping…
It’s almost always busy so if you’re wanting to go on a particular evening (especially Friday or Saturday) I would suggest booking but there’s usually only about a ten minute wait for space. They’ve started a great lunchtime deal for £6.95 where you can get a drink and main meal.
The service is really quick and once you’re seated you can order drinks — my recommendation has to be the Chinese tea which has free refills. Also, ask for the chilli prawn crackers which are only delicately spiced but have a bit more interest to them than the standard.
Having tried a substantial amount of the menu, starters to go for are either the Tempura Prawns (£4) — the tempura of which is crispy and fluffy in just the right measure and served with its perfect companion, soy and wasabi dip; or the Thai Spicy fishcakes (£3.95) served with the delicious sweet chilli sauce. The variety of main dishes is pretty huge so I think there’s something for everyone. Nasi Goreng (£6.20) is my ultimate favourite — rice mixed with chicken, prawns, char siu and chillis. Delicious. Although the combinations for rice dishes are also lovely, sweet and sour chicken or another good choice — the Thai Green curry which is filled with crunchy veg and a sauce just the right side of spicy.
Now I don’t usually go for desserts after Chinese food but the little tempura mars bars are NOT to be missed. I know you’ll all have visions of greasy Glasgow versions but these don’t taste greasy at all but are incredibly rich so perhaps better to share. The ice creams and cheesecake are also worth a try for something a little bit different — flavour combinations such as chocolate and wasabi.

The perennial favourite of students taking their visiting parents out for dinner, proof to worried mothers and fathers that eating out in Fallowfield doesn’t just mean kebabs and cheesy chips. Fuzion by its own admission serves food inspired by the ‘backstreet vendors of the far east’ which is very evocative but not really accurate with the food being less brazen or exotic than all that. What you actually get is excellent, freshly prepared rice and noodle dishes (the beef in black bean is sticky, tender and hits the right spot) along with some great fish side dishes (the prawn wontons are delicious) served on long noodle-​bar style benches.
Prices are reasonable enough although, as is the seeming curse of the noodle-​bar, drinks are overly expensive — with a soft drink coming for around the same price as some of the less expensive sides. Of a weekend, or even of a weekday evening, the place can get crowded and the aforementioned bench tables mean that sometimes it can be difficult for the restaurant to cope with larger groups, particularly if you are all keen to sit together. The staff though (drawn largely from the local student population) deal well with the demands of a busy restaurant and service is quick and friendly even if it can seem on occasion like they are eager to get you fed and out of there. On the whole though Fuzion provides a pleasant dining experience and is definitely somewhere you can be happy to take your parents, or indeed any other loved one, whether you have a messy flat to distract them from or not.

I usually automatically detest somewhere with a ‘z’ in place of a ‘s’ as much as I do somewhere with a ‘k’ instead of a ‘c’. It’s juzt not klever. Spell check agrees, as it keeps changing the name of this noodle bar to fusion. However, I can’t bring myself to hate fuzion. It’s definitely one of the better things about Fallowfield.
It’s a great place to come with a group of friends or as a get to know you meal with flatmates or prospective housemates. Yes, it’s a bit like Wagamama in that you are often seated on a bench next to someone you don’t know and the way you can see your food being prepared fresh in front of your eyes. The produce is also fresh — veg is delivered daily from local markets. You can mix and match your noodles with your sauces choosing from ho fun, udon (my favourite) or crispy egg noodles with sauces such as oyster sauce, thai red curry, char sui and lomen. Expect to pay no more than £7 per dish.
You can sign up online to receive to become part of the fuzion friendz (grrr) group which means that you’ll get discounts and free drinks offers. They also do take-​away and lunch boxes to eat on the bus ride to uni.

Sitting in a kind of no-man’s land in Fallowfield (that is to say, a 100 yard stretch of pavement without a bar…) Fuzion can often be overlooked for the brighter, lesser, takeaway pizza places on the other side of the road. Marauding students ignore it for the promise of a kebab. The fools! This place is lush!
As others have pointed out, it takes a few leaves out of the holy books of Lord Wagamama (praise be) and Saint Tampopo, offering a pan-​Asian fusion menu that is part Chinese, part Thai, part Japanese and totally tasty. The premise is based on the back-​street noodle vendors of the East, and it really works. The dishes are simple, wholesome and fresh; everything is cooked in their open-​plan kitchen to order, so it all arrives piping hot and just-​made.
The menu is colossal, with about 70 options covering all bases from thai red curry to an amazing noodley Peking hot and sour soup (I strongly recommend the udon noodles). Main courses are very, very generous in size, and come in under £7. You can add extra veg or meat for £1, if you really think it necessary! There’s also a kick-​ass selection of sides, which can be ordered as starters, though it’s always fun to take a break from your main to tear into what have to be the tastiest salt and pepper ribs I have ever had; huge, juicy and a bargain at £4 for four. Also deserving of honourable mention are the spring rolls, super bargainous at £2.65 for four, and nothing like the little crappy things you get elsewhere; these bad boys are big and packed with tasty fresh veg.
The drinks menu is minimal, but there are enough bottled beers to satisfy most, and the red wine is a decent Chilean. Expect to pay around £3 for a boozy drink, while their soft drinks are a reasonable £1.50.
Whether you’re just nipping in for a quick noodley lunch, or you fancy a big blow-​out banquet, this is a great little place. The quality of the food is way above standard and the service is literally faultless. This is one of the few places that I’ll make an aberration from the city centre for.

Fuzion is placed in the heart of the student area of Fallowfield, but please do not let this deter you from amking a visit to this fantastic noodle bar! It certainly is not there to make a cheap buck out of the academics, like the many kebab shops! The layout is like Tampopo in miniture… there is bench style seating that does make you get friendly with your random neighbour, but that is all part of the experience! Fuzion make a point that the menu is based on the traditional street style noddle vendors you find in the far east, you get to choose what type of noodle will form the base of your dish and then make a selecction from the menu… and with all dishes you can add extra vegetable for just £1 — howzat Jamie for your 5 a day personal mission!

Fuzion is a ‘pan asian’, street vendor-​style noodle bar that has taken a few leaves out of Wagamama’s book. It draws and younger and student crowd in Fallowfield not least because the prices are cheap, and tables, in canteen style, are sociable and the food is quick and tasty. This doesn’t mean it isn’t good, it really is. Had I not come here on recommendation from my younger brother’s friends, I would have passed it by.
The cuisine includes dishes from Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and China. There are a choice of different noodle types, from very fat to thin Singapore vermicelli, with all kinds of vegetable and meat options including duck, tempura, rice dishes. Great service and great prices — not many places where you can get a generous serving of Noodles for £5

Great cheap and cheerful restaurant in Fallowfield with a menu made up of mainly noodle based dishes. The food is really good value — excellent quality and generous portions. The vegetable tempura in particular are lovely. There is a wide choice for vegetarians and drinks menu is pretty good too.
It is a very small restaurant and can get very busy, but the atmosphere is great. The seating mainly consists of communal benches which adds to the cozy atmosphere. The service is friendly and efficient and they are quick with telephone orders (I’ve collected orders from them, but I don’t think they deliver). Definitely recommended!

Eaten in with the kids here a few times and while we stand out like a sore thumb for not being of the student population, the atmosphere’s lovely, the prawn crackers are fresh and the little one’s can’t get enough of them and anything that involved the novelty factor of eating with chop sticks is fun.
A meal out here without the wee ones is just as enjoyable as the seating pews mean you can either sit side by side or are close enough for a game of footsie under the table ahem!
The food, the food is super, really fresh — not over cooked or drowned in gloop like many places I’ve been to. I particularly love the salt and pepper spare ribs and Singapore vermicelli. My partner always has the duck with rice and loves it. It’s consistently good and the first port of call when we get a craving for a Chinese.

If you’re a student, dining out can be expensive but for those who would rather not, there’s a cheap alternative. Fuzion is located in the heart of student land in fallowfield. I has a table-​desk like sitting arrangement, the kind you find in wagamama restaurants. Its specialises in far eastern cuisine.
For example you can choose from five different types of noodles, from thick to thin, hot and fat on to skinny rice. All in all, you are going to have a lovely cheap meal in lovely sourroundings. I would recommend Fuzion to any student with a five pounds burning hole in their pockets and not much time.
