B&Q at Cheetham Hill is a huge DIY emporium at Manchester Fort, very close to Manchester city centre. They have absolutely everything you could possibly need from a fitted kitchen or bathroom suite to a light bulb or a tin of paint. I always find that they price things very fairly. I just bought a new switch for my hot water system, pleasantly surprised that it was only £4.98!

B&Q at ‘The Fort’ on Cheetham Hill Road, less than a mile out of the city centre. What can I say but DIY. This store is very big has a large garden centre, both inside and out. Whatever you need for your home you will mostly find it here.

This is a large B & Q that won’t disappoint. There’s no point me boasting their wide range of building and homeware products because they’re all really unexciting. But all you can really ask from a B & Q is that is has got all those DIY things you might need. You don’t want to go all the way down there to the awkward suburban location like this one, where all B & Qs are placed, only to be disappointed. This one’s got it all, from bathroom through lounge to kitchen and bedroom. I wish they delivered though, because I can’t drive, which means I have to carry it all, breaking my back in the process.

This B&Q, located at Manchester’s Fort shopping centre, is absolutely massive. Even if you’re going to buy something as insignificant as a pack of nails, you’ll probably have to walk past about 20 isles to find what you’re looking for. This place is that big. I bought a massive extension lead from this place for a reasonable £20(it was a 25m extension lead). It worked fine, but then I quickly realised I didn’t actually need it. I took it back and the returns counter is located right by the main entrance. I had got my money put back on my card in a matter of three or four minutes with little fuss. Good service.

Forget pots of paint, stencils and fancy wallpaper. The only reason anyone would be crazy enough to go to B&Q this week would be to buy one of their wood burning stoves or electric fires. Last time I checked they had about half a dozen different models at reasonable prices. Admittedly, none of them looked as stylish as the fires you see in lifestyle magazines but when Britain is having it’s worst cold spell for thirty years, I think some people might be willing to sacrifice a little style for the sake of staying warm! Handily, this branch offers Reserve and Collect so you can order products online or by phone and collect later.

This is such a big B&Q it is so hard to find what you want down each aisle. they do have big signs at the end of each aisle at both ends of it but it is still hard to find things. the staff are very helpful though and very knowledgeable if you need advice on anything. they sell lots of paints, furniture, garden equipment and a whole lot more.

For all you need in the home. The store itself is massive and it sells most things you will need for some DIY under one roof. Bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, tools, paints, flooring, doors, lighting and so much more! They always have some great savings and reduced prices. They have a timber yard too which is really good. There are staff that are freindly and willing to help in every section of the store, and all staff have a good knowledge of what ever it is they advise you on.
