Me and the hubby came here while in London from the US and loved the attentive staff, warm and welcoming atmosphere and delicious food. Thanks to Unilocal for helping us find this place!

Met up with dear friends for a late dinner and enjoyed ourselves. Villa Bianca, at a glance, looks like a charming house with a second floor adorned with brightly colored flower boxes. We ordered delicious wine and I was feeling pasta so I had Spaghetti Allo Scoglio(Thin spaghetti with Mediterranean seafood, olive oil, cherry tomatoes, garlic and chilli). Spaghetti came with fresh mussels, clams and prawns. Spaghetti was cooked perfectly al dente and seafood was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Dining companions ordered Pappardelle Con Misto di Porcini e Fungi Selvati Saltati(Large tagliatelle with porcini & mixed mushrooms sautéed in truffle butter), Risotto Con Scampi Piselle e Pomodorini(Risotto with scampi, peas and cherry tomatoes), and Gamberoni Alla Thermidor o Al Pomodoro e Peperonocino(Risotto with scampi, peas and cherry tomatoes). Being the piggie that I am, I had to try out everyone’s dish, and I have to say that each dish was delicious but the one that stood out to me was the tagliatelle with mushrooms in truffle butter. What decadence — I thought that the truffle butter was to die for! Service was quite friendly and upbeat considering we were practically the last customers in the restaurant before closing. I really enjoyed my evening at Villa Bianca, and would love to come back to try more dishes.

After checking into my horrible hotel, I walked around looking for a place to hang out. It was 9pm and everything seemed closed for the night… Then there was the café! A beacon amongst misery! Open till 11pm. Very inviting décor and friendly staff… Plus fantastic menu options and drinks. Breakfast items to full dinners. Desserts, coffees and wines! And the biggest plus for me? Vegetarian options! If you are down this way, I highly recommend this café restaurant. Also, they are next to the Barclay Bank that offers free wifi that I could connect my cell up to.

Enjoyed a very lovely dinner here last night with a couple friends. The atmosphere was great with the Classic Italian family feel to it– welcoming and professional without feeling too formal. The décor was great as well, clean and crisp with the piano music adding to the vibe. For my main, I had the tagliatelle with scampi, artichoke and tomato. The dish, though beautifully presented, I felt lacked a bit of flavour– think it needed a hit of citrus or some pepper? Dessert was very tasty, though not the best crème brûlée I’ve had– taste was there but my sugar crust was not so crunchy in places, could have used a few more minutes under the grill. Our wine was superb! Great selection in a range of price points. 4 stars for great service, ambiance, and a lovely meal with fantastic wine!

Great food and atmosphere in a quaint area of London. Above average prices but worth it

Impeccable in every way. The manager is one of the best. Close to be one of the best in London. A cross between Venice’s Harry’s bar, Dorchester bar and Toto’s in Chelsea.

I will caveat my 5 star by saying that I have been living in London for 3 months and I was starting to get withdrawals for true service during a nice meal. That being said, the food was solid too! I started by calling the day of(at 5:30), to see if there were any open reservations. Earliest they could take 2 was at 10pm. The gentleman on the phone asked me to hold for just a second. He came back and stated that the GM had not arrived yet, but asked if we could make it for opening at 6:30 and said he could likely squeeze us in.(1st high marks) We arrived at 6:30 and the GM welcomed us, waived for a waiter, and offered for us to sit upstairs as the piano was going to start at 7:00. Upstairs we went, and were offered a terrace table, beautiful weather, and quite evening(2nd high marks) Our waiter welcomed us, offered water and cheese pastry, and shared the specials with a smile and REAL conversation(3rd high marks). Great menu, ordered an app and bottle of wine(good wine list too). Enjoyed an evening where all 3 waiters in the area were regularly checking on us, filling our wine/water, and busing the table. All with a smile and conversation. The GM stopped by late in the meal and offered his thanks, as did we. Food was great(Truffle Rissoto Special and the Gnocci, as well as a stuffed eggplant appetizer). I have read reviews here commenting on the price. I found it to be very reasonable in the context of London. If you are thinking in dollars, you will be in shock anywhere in London! With my faith in customer service restored, we will be dining here again and again.

Beautiful restaurant with wonderful service. Their business lunch at £16.5(or 16?) was great. Although my clam pasta’s clam was not it’s best quality(it was very fishy), their fresh pasta noodle was exactly what I wanted. The shrimp avocado appetizer was delightful too. I really loved everything about this restaurant so was considering to telling about the clam. But it’s always difficult as the chef must have done their best and I didn’t wanted to hurt their feeling. Hopefully they read this review and try to buy better clam since vongole pasta is my favorite. I still give them 4 stars as my overall experience was very pleasant :)

Superb service and great food. The tuna steak and baked aubergine were exactly what I was expecting. It’s a kind of local restaurant you’ll always remember even if you move away from the area. Will definitely go back.

Brilliant!(when in London…) Dined here with a client and the service, food, atmosphere are all wonderful. Northern Italian fare, very fresh and authentic. Started with appetizer of mussels(fabulous), crab salad(just good, not phenomenal), and bruschetta(simple yet delicious). I opted for linguine with clams. It was the perfect portion size, pasta cooked al dente, not overly garlicky, really perfect. Co diners went with a chicken dish in a creamy mushroom sauce which smelled amazing and a grilled swordfish — which came out rare — which was not the norm for us but it tasted good. We had a fabulous French Pinot Noir and finished up with some ginger tea and a crème brûlée. An excellent meal, not rushed at all. Piano music playing upstairs. Highly recommend when in this part of town(West Hamstead) — it’s on a small side street BTW and right around the corner from a crêpe stand which had a line down the block…

The place has a very interesting and lovely interior design. The food is also good but the service can be a little dodgy. however, keep in mind that this impression is from only one visit. I hope my next one to be better.

A nice cosy place, a little dated but still has some charm, the food is very traditional old school Italian food but very tasty prepared with care. The service staff are very attentive. Wine list is extensive. The service charge was a little high and the final bill was a lot higher than the over all experience deserved. Worth a visit but not a restaurant you would frequent.

beautiful and romantic night thanks to villa bianca :) we were initially seated downstairs, but after i saw the upstairs on a lady break, i asked to be seated in the semi terrace area and we were moved. DEFINITELY recommend asking for a seat on the upper floor. the pianist was playing a few tables away and just the whole atmosphere was very intimate and romantic. the vegetable risotto i ordered was the best i ever had INMYLIFE. and i was in italy about a month ago. and my boyfriend who doesn’t like risotto agreed it was amazing. very very extensive wine list(so long, there’s a table of contents). not sure what the damage was but things were reasonably priced given the quality of the food and beauty of the venue. this is definitely THE restaurant i’d recommend to any couples celebrating an anniversary, birthday, etc!

If there were a restaurant that could get the elite 6 star Unilocal review, this place would be it. The service was spot on, with the host seating us immediately, taking our coats and bringing us water and bread like it was ordered yesterday. Neither of us had to lift the water or wine bottle because everytime we were to ¼ of a glass, the waiter magically appeared, refilled our glasses, and vanished without a trace. The epitome of how I like my service: Telepathically sensing my needs and then no hovering. The interiour was beautiful and the upstairs was enchanting, with a gorgeous balcony that I MUST it on one day. The food… oh, the food. I had veal with new potatos and it was legen-wait for it-dary. Thom A and I split a desert, a perfect way to finish off an altogether wonderful and enchanting dinner. It was a bit pricey but worth every penny.

5 Star customer service is alive and well in the big smoke!!! Ok, if you look at the menu and you’re prepared to spend the prices then let’s assume that the bill won’t be an issue here… because once you get in, you will forget you’re in London. Once you’re shown to your table, your coats are whisked off to a cloakroom, drinks are arriving, water is being poured, specials are being recited with precision and did I mention there was a basket of fresh focaccia, bread, breadsticks and orchids behind those menus? Once you pour over the menu and make the toughest decision of your life, get used to being treated to servers coming around and topping up your glasses, clearing nonsense from your table and running the restaurant like a well-oiled machine. I had the beef strips with mushroom sauce & parsnip mash which was pretty epic, we split a special dessert which was a fried pastry filled with ricotta and a selection of fruit compotes and sauces to accompany it. In the summer, you can dine alfresco and they are meant to occasionally have live music to set the tone for your night. The location was right in the heart of picturesque Hampstead and couldn’t be a better place to bring a date, business meeting, or mother in law(hey, anyone you need to impress, really!). A true dining experience. You will never know it’s here unless someone tells you, so consider yourself told!

I like this restaurant, always full but very cosy. The food is Italian and they have come good wines. I am particularly fond of Barolo and they have a cheaper one I buy at £45 which is excellent, but they have some that cost an awful lot more! We used to go there for our birthday meals, which used to cost around £145 including liquors but we have toned down our special meals and each time I send £50 to a small charity in South Africa I support. Nice place to take your special lady on a first date, but don’t go and spoil it all afterwards ;-)

I went to this place for lunch weeks ago, and let me say it straight: this lunch was amazing and I was really delighted by everything in this restaurant. It has a very welcoming atmosphere, great hospitality, plus they filled my table up with yummy stuff before I’ve even start putting my order through: D The place was ultra clean, with very freshly made food, and the only word you would hear around is «it’s up to you sir/madam :)» I had the business lunch choice(a starter and a main) and it was so heavenly. Well cooked, well presented, and with a wowing simplicity too. For a funny reason I ordered a mint tea to seal my meal and it came along with some complimentary biscuits and I have to say the experience was magical. The only downside was that I was alone, so my next time would be with a good company.

I love Villa Bianca, I’ve been here a few times & it never disappointed. The service is really FABULOUS, with attentive(not to mention gawgeous) waiters who strike that perfect balance between friendly and professional. The food is good Italian stuff, the pasta dishes I’ve had were excellent. But I think my favourite thing about this place is its cute little location, the abundance of greenery outside hanging off its balcony, and the live piano music! It is a romantic, darling little place for a quiet dinner in gorgeous surrounds. Bön Apetit!
