Was extremely disappointed with this take away after hearing some great reports. I ordered a chicken jalferzi, which arrived Luke warm and in my opinion lacked flavour. The chicken was so tough I couldn’t eat it. To be honest the jalferzi from Iceland tastes better. My husband had a chicken madras which again was cold, he enjoyed it none the less, until he found what looks like a two inch pork rib bone in sauce. He couldn’t eat any more after that! What is pork doing anywhere near chicken??? Will not be eating from this place again.

My wife and I just recently moved to London three days ago and one thing that we were excited about was delivery Indian food that we heard was common in London. So after we found our place in Hackney we were very excited when we found this place. Last night we wandered in and talked for a little while with the folks working there. Everyone there was very nice and helpful even when it took us ten minutes to decide what we wanted. Their everyday special(one starter, main dish, side dish, and rice or naan) was a feast for one person even by American standards. My wife got the vegetarian special and got vegetarian curry, mixed veges, and garlic naan(no extra charge!). I got the chicken tikka masala. The mixed veges and vegetarian curry were practically identical and the chicken tikka masala was sweeter than I was used to. A few helpful notes: the frequent flyer card they have set up is pretty forgiving(a free starter after three meals, a free main dish after 6 meals, and a full special after 10 meals) and they deliver within a 5 mile radius for free for totals above 10 pounds. Overall we had our first filling dinner in London and are planning many more deliveries from this place!

Spending 5 months in London, my first priority had to be finding a good place for Indian curry. Fortunately, a casual stroll around Shoreditch revealed this place, mere blocks from where I live. Ok, so the awards in the window got to me, but what i loved best were the 6 pound dinner specials of curry and rice. For an american living in london, this was an absolute steal for fresh made curry and rice. Not to mention such big helpings as well. One meal with rice and papodoms can fill anyone up pretty quick, and if thats not enough, you can get an appetizer, main course, and side for less than 13 pounds(enough for 2 people easily), and mango lassis for only around 2. How’s that for a nice little deal? My favorite so far is the Chicken Jalfezi, which is hot hot HOT! It’s enough to make you sweat bullets, but the flavors blend so well together. The chicken is always nicely cooked, the veggies and peppers go great in the sauce, and the heat doesn’t cancel out the other flavors, but my God it can burn your mouth off if you aren’t careful. A more milder dish has to be the chicken tikka masala, the so called national dish of Britain. It’s a chicken curry with tomato sauce, apparently to satisfy the British palate. I liked it though because the tomato sauce isn’t too sweet, and it works with the curry in a way I didn’t expect. It needs a good stir though, or else it tends to separate and become an oily mess, which threw me off a bit, but it tasted fine with the pilau rice. It’s my Tuesday night supper around these parts, and before I leave, im gonna get my fill of this place. It shows how doing some self-exploration in a new city can lead to a nice payoff.

If this website doesn’t work(as it didn’t for me…) if you just google the address then click on THAT link, it works, and there is a full menu and online ordering system. This place is TAKEAWAY and DELIVERYONLY. Now, the food is 4 if not 5 stars. Really delicious, plus pretty affordable(Most entrees under £8). The special Haryali Chicken Tikka Massala was especially coconutty and yummy. The tikka is bright green, which I had never seen before! Also got aubergine and chapati and naan, all were really good. The chutney assortment, at .50p, is a good deal. When I first tried them, I used the online system. Um… yea, didn’t work so well. After an hour, we called to see where our food was, and they say they only got it 10 min ago, and it would still take 20 minutes… Also, be aware they have a sneaky way of delivery charge in that they give you a 10% «discount» for collection… When the delivery guy(finally!) arrived, the total was more than I thought it would be because I had checked out with a 10% discount(the online ordering system isn’t that clear), but luckily, the guy called his boss because I didn’t want to run back up 6 floors to go get another £3… thankfully they let me have the discount, otherwise I probably wouldn’t order from them again. BUT! Since they did end up being reasonable and apologetic, I will certainly give them another try since the food was quite tasty. I just suggest calling in your order or clicking the«call to confirm» button on the online ordering system.
