Great place! Maria, is just so friendly, and the food… absolutely delicious! I’ve tried the cold food(sandwiches), hot food(chicken curry rice). a bit from everything! They’re amazing! Their prices too! Now i don’t worry what i’m having for lunch everyday, because i can choose whatever i’m craving for!

Just finished a fish fillet sandwich from there. Freshly made to order and cheaper than going to Pret. I’ve had to up the score for this one. When I need a sandwich, this is going to be my go to place during the week! The staff are great there, they don’t mind whatever combination of sandwich you ask for, and always delivered with a smile and a chat.

I cannot believe this stellar little shop only has two reviews! My sister and I decided to seek it out after Unilocaling to find a sandwich shop near the National Gallery. Pret a Manger is fine as far as it goes, but we prefer independent spots. It was just as described — hidden away down inside Royal Opera Arcade and staffed by a Portuguese couple. Delicious-looking display of a large selection of sandwich options to the left and a salad bar with a nice selection of fresh dishes to the right. My sister had a Prawn & Crab sandwich on white bread and I had a Chicken-Avocado on ciabatta. Both were very fresh and tasty. Add in crisps and drinks and we were out of there for under £14! An added treat for me was getting to see the lovely bow-fronted windows and historic architecture of the Royal Opera Arcade.

How can this possibly be a first review? A great little place. Really friendly Portuguese guys running the place. Good breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Does the job. Much nicer experience than going to the Corporate Pret over the road.

A genuine family business that really cares and knows about it’s regular customers. I went with a friend who used to work in the area so used to go there every day, he had not been for 4 years because he now works elsewhere and often out of London but they recognised him immediately and were so kind. There is a man and a lady who are either bother and sister or man and wife(I cannot remember which) and one makes the sandwiches and the other looks after the customer and takes the cuistomers payments. The food is home made and actually seems to have that special taste and texture of things that actually are made by hand with care and are not just processed things shoved together at home with people saying that they are home made. So if you appreciate proper home made style food that really is individual in a way that a chain just cannot replicate this is for you. It was a great place for lunch and I hope to return

This place is great, tucked away in the arcade it really is worth finding if you are in the haymarket area. The place is always busy at lumchtime but the wait is never long as the family run team take pride in both the food and the speed in which they serve. fresh, imaginative, sandwiches baps and wraps plus you can create your own with the many fillings on display. Good food at good prices
