The food at Rogue trader is tasty enough, no complaints there. Maybe I came in with too large of group for the small restaurant, but the service was very slow and our servers were not able to multi task whatsoever. I would definitely visit this restaurant again if I was in the area, but not with more than a few people.

Got delivery from The Rogue Trader a couple nights ago. The portions are huge and it wasn’t bad, but it was severely lacking in spiciness. Still, a welcome addition to my delivery/takeaway options while I’m staying near Canary Wharf for the next month. Especially compared to Bengal Quay and Papa John’s.

The Rogue Trader is a curry house-cum-pub in Canary Wharf on the corner of Westferry Road and Cuba St. Their menu is a la carte but you can get a good amount of food for a reasonable price. Not the best curry I’ve had, but definitely the best I’ve had in Canary Wharf(including Lime, which is in the same building but on the caddy corner). The menu is relatively extensive. I had started to try and relay what the selections on their menu are like in this review, but then realized I was going on and on so I deleted it :). There’s just too many for me to try and list succinctly even by category. Menu is online so you can have a gander yourself. While you’re looking at their menu take special note of the printed front and back page(actually the last two thirds of the second in the pdf).
Front page: All orders over £10 get free local delivery or 10% discount on collection. My office for work is a block away so score one for me on the 10% discount! I usually get one of the traditional curries with chicken, rice or naan, and a veg side like aloo gobi for just on a tenner after the discount. Back page: Free bottle of wine/beer or RT voucher available, claim when ordering. Win for everyone!(Though I have to admit I have no clue what an RT voucher is) The inside of the place is interesting. Split right down the centre, pretty much inline with the door you walk in. To your left is a relatively nice looking dining hall for table service. To your right is a narrow pub, including a video gambling game and flat screen tv for sports watching. It’s almost like they are 2 different businesses and someone just knocked down the wall between the 2. I’ve never eaten in, only had take away, so I can’t speak for the quality of table service.
