I saw The Nether 4 weeks ago and am still thinking about it. It’s a heavy subject matter but delicately flits between dealing it the gravity it deserves and the humour required to prevent the audience becoming a little glum. Equally thought provoking, funny and surprising. And wonderfully acted. Along with some Globe treats the best value theatre tickets I’ve ever bought.

The Nether dares to indulge in imagination, question morals and accentuate fears of the cyber world to dire consequences. Sharing the same producers as Chimerica(which will forever be in my memory as one of the best plays I have ever seen), The Nether is just as revolutionary, captivating and supremely acted. I don’t want to reveal what the show is about as that may spoil the whole experience. I walked into it not knowing and I was all the better for it. Just go in with an open mind; ready to unleash your imagination and take in this shocking yet all too believable vision of the future. Amazing what a cast of 5 people on a small stage can do in an 80 minutes set(without an interval) — this is simply out-of-this world brilliance.
