Good quality coffee at a reasonable price. I don’t think I would have gotten inside if the place wasn’t on my way to work. But I am actually glad I stopped by and now the spot is a must before work. The staff is great and the coffee is fresh and hot what more can you want.

Good prices at this delightful coffee house. Great for afternoon tea. In style it reminds me of the old criterion in Picadilly.

Offering an unusual setting for afternoon tea, tucked in next to the famous auction house, Sotheby’s café is small, elegant, great for people watching and surprisingly good value.

Inside the famous Bond Street auction houses, this delightful little café lets you have a touch of class at a surprisingly reasonable price. Breakfast of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on fresh organic toast, a lunch menu including quails’ eggs, and the ubiquitous English tea & scones mid-afternoon. Despite the name café, it’s more like a French brassiere, but with gourmet cuisine and silver service. The tables spilling out of the faux-French windows into the main auction house, and the fresh flowers on the table gave it a very friendly feel. Our waitress, Faye, and the duty manager, Ken, were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and chatty. And the best bit a two-course a-la-carte launch for two with two glasses of wine only came to £45!
