History

Established in 1950.

The Beehive has an extensive history, dating back as one of South West London’s oldest and finest pubs. While we may have changed management, we’re proud to offer friendly service and delicious pints of England’s finest ales from Fullers!

We recently re-​opened and redecorated our interior, providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to all patrons. Whether it’s a rainy Tuesday night or a sunny Saturday during a rugby match, join us and experience The Beehive.

Lovely small Fullers pub, good beer selection and well kept ales, reasonably priced too. You are made to feel welcome. Other pubs please take note treating your customers as if you care about them been in your pub is a good thing! The barmaid working when we entered said hello, the barmaid working when we left said goodbye to us. Little things like this matter in creating a nice environment. Big projection screen showing football at the back, but never too loud for those who are not interested.
If I lived closer this would be my local.

This is a typical old man’s boozer on St. John’s Hill. A good place for a quiet drink with some mates, not a noisy night out on the town.
I particularly like this place on a Sunday afternoon. You can see there are quite a few locals (mostly men over 40!) just chilling out with a paper and a pint.
Despite the fact this is an old man’s boozer, it’s pretty nice inside. The pub is decked-​out in heavy dark pine furnishings and there’s even a fire place.
A lovely, cosy little pub, I’d definitely go back.

The Beehive is one of the weaker pubs in Clapham in my opinion. It just feels like it has gone a bit downhill in the last couple of years. Ok, you can still get quality real ale, but it just feels a bit tacky inside now. The Beehive has lost its rustic pub charm and it now feels cheap, tacky, ugly and depressing. Maybe i’m just in a bad mood, but i really didn’t enjoy my time in here last night. Clapham is an oasis of great pubs and The Beehive definitely does not make the top 10!
