Fantastic customer service they took us in even though the kitchen was about to close! Food is very tasty! Green curry and Red curry are definitely something to go for!

Delicious, well presented Thai cuisine in a relaxed and spacious setting. Standout starters were the mango salad with battered crab — sooo good. Plus, the recommended spring rolls wrapped in rice paper, also with crab, were crunchy and fresh and had the yummiest sauce. For mains, red curry was gorgeously seasoned. Even a side dish of green veg was just perfect — al dente and with a sensational sauce that was just super flavoursome. My duck was huge; I felt it could’ve done with more sauce though.(Can you tell I like sauce?) Finally, desserts were delightful — my mango sorbet and choc ice-cream combo were beautifully presented and tasted lush. Others ordered sumptuous portions of coconut banana fritters, which seemed to go down well. As you can tell from the triple pound sign, Suk Saran is pricey but lovely for a treat.

Probably the best thai food I’ve had in London! We had 3 courses and wine and every dish was fresh and delicious. Would highly recommend. The appetisers were our favourites, particularly the scallops and the pork wrapped in betel leaves.

Suk Suran’s a stone throw away from Wimbledon tube station, and is one of those places that looks really, really dark from the outside. But inside has a lovely décor, and there is all kinds of artwork, sculptures and Thai/Buddhist symbology. On arrival, I can see how other Unilocalers would have struggled to have gotten the attention of someone to be seated. It was a busy Friday night when we’d turned up, and it took a little while before we were noticed and led to a table. After we ordered the set menu, we then were left waiting for a good half hour before the starters arrived, and that only came after prompting. Drinks refills also needed a reprompt(after a slight choking incident. keep it classy, Prad). However, the food itself was nice. The starter was a combination of several pieces — spring rolls, fishcakes, dim sum. Nothing was particularly bad, but nothing was overly memorable either. The mains, a red thai curry, vegetables in sauce and a beef dish, we’re again nice and tasty. The Red Thai Curry was in fact very, very good — the sauce was rich and spiced perfectly. The dessert was a rather bland Banana and Coconut Fritter with Vanilla ice cream. Bit too safe for my liking. Yawn. The fact remains that the service, though mostly polite, failed to be attentive(and attentiveness, I noticed, was something they like to highlight on their website). The food was good, though didn’t take me on a culinary voyage of exploration and amazement. I came wanting to be inspired and excited enough to go straight home and book a trip to Thailand. I left thinking a Vietnamese in Shoreditch might be a better option, next time.

Large restaurant nicely decorated. Had to wait around a little when we came in and the restaurant was not busy at all. Once seated, we were served in a timely manner. Dumplings came well presented in a variety of colours and were very tasty. A full bar is in the restaurant so can make up any drink for you along with cocktails. Staff were polite and attentive. Portion sizes were good. I don’t tend to go for desserts in Thai or Chinese restaurants but they had a good desert and managed to find a chocolate pudding which finished the meal off nicely. Short walk from the train station so good transport access.

Best thai in London. We got there at 10pm on Saturday night and the food was as freshly cooked and tender as if we were there at 7pm. Well done.

This is a very good restaurant. You get all the original ingredients and the original Thai taste without cheap, local replacements. It is not the sort of «Thai» restaurants where you get chopsticks, instead of spoon and fork. The décor is superb, smell is great, the service quick. The thing I really liked about this restaurant is that they serve one of my favourite salads — the waterfall beef salad(neua yang nam tok). Don’t be misled by the number of people inside. Based on my experience Thai restaurants are usually empty in Europe. Not sure why … The restaurant is definitely not«relatively inexpensive». 35 pounds for a salad, curry, tea and rice is a little bit steep in my opinion …

Service was slow and some of the waiters were nice while others weren’t so much. Tasty food but don’t order a main and a side and expect to have enough to share with another person. One of you might leave hungry. Bottom line: expensive for what you get.

Definitely the best Thai food one can get in and around Wimbledon. Beautiful interiors, adequate service and the food was great. We ordered soup and fish cakes as starter and a red curry and pad thai for mains. All really good, specially the curry where they got the fusion of the various flavours just right. We’ll definitely be going back!

I was surprised when I first came in here as there was absolutely no one there! But the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We got an order of spring rolls, Pad Thai, and Curry all with steamed rice. It was good quality food and adequate service.

For quality and relatively inexpensive Thai food, this has got to be at the top of my list. I ate there for the first time on Tuesday evening and was surprised at how busy it was for a week night. They must be rammed at the weekends. Attentive and friendly staff, Suk Saran would be double the price if it was located in the East End. I had steamed sea bass and vegetables, perfectly spicy and generous portion size. The tables are quite small and as the restaurant filled up it felt a little cramped. But it’s not uncomfortable and you only notice as you try and squeeze your way out to get to the toilet. Speaking of the toilet, you can tell you’ve come to a quality restaurant when the bathroom is as good as this! Beautiful décor, delicious food and first class service, I’ll definitely be going back.

Excellent local Thai restaurant which compares very well with the best in central London.

Great tasting food and a nice calm place to meet friends. Cool bars down the road for a after night cap!
