Wonderful experience with great food in a nice atmosphere. Family of 4, 3 appetizers, 1 glass of wine, no soft drinks, pizza customized to my son’s request, 3 pasta dishes, no desserts was £59. Excellent value IMHO. Would definitely go there again. Not related, independent review.

Decent food, but relatively steep prices… It’s not that it’s bad, it’s just that it’s not that good. If you’re really in the mood for Italian, you could do worse, but it’s just nothing to write home about and quite frankly not a great value for the money. That said it is conveniently located near some hotels so…

Second chance for Strada! Actually third, but I didn’t review that one. So, how did they do? Check the star… :( Here’s the thing, the food is ok and I WANT to like this place. Im in London every month and its convenient to one of the hotels I use. Otherwise I wouldn’t keep giving them chances. The food is passable Italian. Not exciting but tasty enough. The shrimp appetizer tasted good but they didn’t behead, peel, or devein it and served it hot so I wasn’t sure why. The Strozzapreti was nice. I really don’t have any complaints about the food. The service… another story. They sat me and ignored me for a good 20 minutes. Place was half empty so they weren’t busy. Finally I ordered and the starter came fairly quick. Finished my glass of wine and was never asked if I wanted another. Pasta came and being fairly hungry I ate it directly. Then I sat there for a looong time…30 minutes easy. I think i heard crickets at one point I would have had another wine or a dessert but they(almost) never came back. I made eye contact several times and waived at my waiter but nothing. Finally a woman came over with the credit card device. «is everything ok?». I said the food was great but the service was terrible Rather than apologize, she asked«are you American?.. in London you must ask for check». No shit. I told her I spend a week out of every month in London and nowhere in London has service this inattentive… and by the way I WOULD have asked if someone ever spoke to me. Don’t worry Strada, I won’t be back. Even a dumb American learns his lesson after three strikes. I look forward to trying the restaurant that takes your building after you fail.

By London Standards, maybe this is 3 – 4 stars. By Boston/NYC food quality standards, 2 stars. Food was ok. Yes, the English are notorious for their bad food. It’s not that they aren’t capable, it’s that they don’t *care*. I’m not sure what passes for Italian food over here, but this was not it. It wasn’t necessarily bad, but just sort of «whatever.» Prices were steep considering what you get. Service was decent by the London standard.

hmmm difficult to say if today’s dodgy stomach has anything to do with last night’s unwashed salad(gritty spinach leaves). Too lazy to cook, we gave this branch of Strada a go. Quite enjoyed sitting towards the back of the restaurant, away from the more busy front. Had a really lovely waiter who did everything right and remembered us even though we were a bit hidden — excellent service considering this is more fast food than haute cuisine. Unfortunately, the garlic bread starter was a bit over-salted which made the main course pizza taste rather bland. I like the crispy base, but they were a bit mean with tomato sauce Shame about the salad — see above.

I love Strada for a number of reasons — the food and selection of wines are amazing!!! Also, the distilled water that they serve free of charge is a nice little bonus Strada is currently offering a 2 for 1 discount on main courses and if anyone is interested, please send me a message and I will provide the link. If you have never been, please to try and I promise that you will never look at Pizza Hut the same way again
