I just thought I’d throw in a quick Starbucks review to let you American Unilocalers know the quality of the coffee is consistent here in the UK albeit more expensive pounds to dollars. This location is convenient to Shakespeare’s Globe and the Tate Modern. It wasn’t too clean and the loo was grungy. Baristas weren’t too enthusiastic. Free wi-fi was definitely a plus for being abroad

On a Monday evening in late October this place is pretty quiet! On arrival there was no queue but still took a while to make my drink — staff weren’t the cheeriest. Nonetheless a good place to meet a friend for a catch up. At this time of year I recommend the pumpkin spice latte — with cream if you’re treating yourself!

Starbucks here seems to be a great location, its practically opposite the Globe Theatre so you can wait and drink here before the performance. It’s also a great sheltering point if the weather is baking hot like it is today and the staff are generally happy to serve you. The seating is plentiful even though it is very busy but I did go around 4.30 in the afternoon time where it is usually just after the rush hour. The only thing is that during busy times, they take a while to serve you the drinks especially the Iced coffee and frappucinos.

I can’t say in a fan. They’re super busy and seemed like the staff didn’t have it together. They kept messing up peoples’ drinks and heating up the wrong sandwiches. Things seemed to get better after someone experienced came back from break. Coming from the states, I love how the menu and food selections are different. I visited on a sunny humid day… and I just wanted some iced tea! Homeboy who was messing up the drinks gave me hot tea in a cup of ice where water wasn’t even filled to the top… Sorry what?! And I paid £2+ for this?! Worst!!! Note to self. Order whatever’s on their menu because they don’t know what iced tea is!

What an absolutely beautiful location! Right across the road from the famous Globe Theatre! Perfect to sit outside on a sunny day with a triple caramel frappachino!
