Organised a client drinks party here. An interesting and very nice venue, good delicious food and British booze. We were only too sorry we did not order more of the sticky toffee pudding, and when we tried to order more there was no more. Everyone agreed that they had a great evening. I must say the bar staff were very professional in getting us to leave the venue even after they had closed, so they could set up for the next day!

Ended up here whilst waiting to get in to Barts Pathology Museum, so it was one of those chance encounters. Pub has a nice interior, its had some time and consideration put in to it and I would say a few bit of money, the light fittings were amazing in the main part of the pub! We were only in there for a couple of drinks, but it ended up becoming happy around(3 – 5 on a Saturday.) Their happy hour consists of a particular brand that they stock(can’t remember off the top of my head which one) but it’s mostly wines and cider. My husband bought cider — I had wine and together the check was £5.23! Absolutely can’t sniff your noses at that! Having said that though, generally I get the impression it’s quite expensive in there; my friend tried to order a soda water, but left after they were going to charge her £4 for it. Does seem a bit steep!

Came in here for lunch during a Tuesday work lunch break recently. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful but unfortunately the food arrived far too late so half of the party had to leave before it arrived. If you’re coming for a lunch date it might be worth telling them you only have an hour or so. However the food was very good and very reasonably priced(50% off food Monday’s and Tuesday’s)
