Sathiyams Indian & Chinese

Good relaxed family eating place. There is more than enough space to move around in the restaurant. you are not rushed through your meal by waiters who ask you constantly wether you have finished or other people waiting to get your table and breath down your neck. Good food which is reasonably priced. Chinese dishes are yummy and north indian varieties have the traditional taste. Drink menu is fairly priced. The lunch buffet is very good value for money. Great place to have birthday parties and family gatherings as the price for the hall and food for an evening doesnt pinch the pocket and can easily accomodate around 40 – 50 people which is an advantage none of the other restaurants on the same high street have. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed. Excellent friendly staff service. One of the best places in the town to have authentic indian food. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxed evening of good food and homely atmosphere.

most garish décor (dark maroon tablecloth, chairs and even walls of the same colour) of any restaurant I’ve EVER stepped foot in — and the food isn’t great either. Easily qualifies as the worst in the area — Vasanta Bhavan (veg) or Kebabish (non-​veg) on the same road are better options.

Sathiyams restaurant is based on Romford Road and in my opinion one of the good indian restaurants and catering services in Ilford. There are also several other restaurants on the same road but they do not have the same pleasant interior setting as this one. They have a very decent interior and fantastic seating that has been divided into two parts on the ground level and for extra seating they also have a lower level. It is very pleasant and excellent setting for either party dinners or family dinners (The hall can also be hired privately for parties and the like). It can get crowded sometimes but most of the time you can be assured that you will get a table.
The food is exceptionally good and they serve either typical authentic south indian food (which we love) and also north indian food which is also really good. They also have chinese but personally we have never tried it. The service is really good and the staff are really polite and friendly. The price range is really good value for money and we absolutely love this place. Give it a try.
