We created Sally White — Food Lover as the kind of place we’d like to visit for a leisurely coffee, a foodie gift or a lunchtime savoury treat.
We make great coffee [roasted to order by London Coffee Roasters in Greenwich] and add home-cooked food made daily on site — including cakes & pastries, our amazing sausage rolls, skirt beef pasties, Salmon & Haddock Fish cakes & plenty more.
In addition we sell an edited range of specialist foods from Spanish artisan food specialists, Brindisa, amazing jams & pickles from England Preserves and some lovely handmade confectionary
History
Established in 2013.
Sally White — Food Lover was founded by Sally White & Mark Ryan in the spring of 2013.
Sally originally worked for Konditor & Cook and managed their second shop in Borough Market’s early days. She then managed Brindisa’s first retail shop in Exmouth Market before setting up her own catering company and running the much-loved café at the Design Museum for ten years.
Mark originally studied art history and realised he preferred food to art. He worked for Foodie Entrepreneur Justin de Bank for many years and then Bakery Kings Konditor & Cook for many more years before realising his dream of opening the perfect local food store & café in Kennington where he lives with Sally & his family.
