Awesome food, great value for money and the staff are all very pleasant. Had to send the food back this morning as it was cold. Replaced with no questions and full apology.

The Kennington Café classic greasy spoon. There’s an upstairs eating area and a large downstairs too. I can’t say I’m a massive fan of the food, but they do serve HUGE portions for around £5. I ate a jacket potato with cheese and beans and the potato was the size of my head! Good to fill up, but don’t expect anything too fancy. I wouldn’t venture outside of the English breakfast, jacket potato or omelette. Staff are nice and friendly, some dishes come with free tea and coffee, and they offer a loyalty card.

Quality of ingredients is average to below average. The interior is below average(cramped upstairs and just plain dingy downstairs). But… the welcome is excellent and the variety on the menu is impressive). Prices are low so it inevitably has become a haunt for us local workers at lunchtime. Portions are so big its easy to feel ill afterwards so beware(especially the 4 egg omelette). Not a great place, but not bad and certainly better than the local competition.

This is a small family run café in a mostly suburban area. The couple that runs this place is so nice that even if the food wasn’t good(it’s good!) you wouldn’t even notice. We had breakfast here as a family and felt very welcome. It’s more of a diner feel than a typical coffee type café, but it’s definitely worth checking out if you are in the area. The prices are great and definitely of good value. Try the breakfast with the fried toast. So bad for you, bur so delicious!

They do an excellent full English breakfast. Eggs still runny and really good quality bacon. It was the perfect hangover cure. :o) The staff are friendly and super welcoming. They couldn’t do enough for us. I will definitely be going back there again to try some more more of their dishes. Only minus point; the coffee wasn’t brilliant but it was drinkable.

Dropped in for lunch last week and loved the place. Great food, very friendly and helpful service, excellent value. They also have much more on the menu than all-day breakfasts, pies, chips etc — I had the falafel and it was delicious. Plenty of vegetarian dishes and yummy home-made desserts too. The place is deceptively spacious, with seating on three levels. So if you walk in and the main shop looks crowded, do explore below. It’s well worth it!

A truly local British Café where you can enjoy a British fry up breakfast all day, and they have different levels of fry ups depending on how hungry you are. The set breakfast or the full breakfast should be able to satisfy most people’s needs. However if you do have a big appetite or you have a incredible craving for the fry up, you can go for the Kennington special or the ultimate the builder’s breakfast. They do have other items on the menu including pies and sandwiches but no matter what you ordered you can almost guarantee that you will walk away feeling very satisfied.
