I don’t understand why people work in hospitality only for customers to leave feeling just as bad for wanting to eat somewhere that looks so cool! To be fair there was only one staff member on for morning rush. Ordered porridge and a coffee to eat in… I was the only one in there and then everyone who ordered takeaway coffee after me was served which took about 20 minutes, I had to go collect my cold porridge which was sitting at the counter. Admittedly coffee was really good and I complimented this. too late I was already in the bad books!
Fitzro
Place rating: 4 London, United Kingdom
Lots of space and free wifi. Which makes it pretty convenient for writing a review. I’m not cramped on a tiny table and chair wobbling about trying to type. There’s plenty of room for writing and grazing(which is what these guys call eating in this place). I went for the mint pea soup and an Americano coffee. The weather is still chilly for May and the hot soup hit the spot. Good and hearty with a tasty roll to boot. The coffee’s in a nice big cup and tastes good. Around the café are paintings by Fitzrovia Noir who have their works on permanent display. We’re spoilt for choice for cafés in Fitzrovia with many struggling to stay afloat. But this offers something different, more relaxed and a place to want to return to.
