History

Established in 2007.

Yog is the UK’s leading probiotic frozen yogurt brand and the first to open in London. The idea for Yog came from a personal love of frozen yogurt eaten in the 90’s and a desire to create a healthy alternative to ice cream.

Yog opened its first store in Brent Cross in early 2008 and is now located in nine stores in London and across the UK including a number of ODEON cinemas.

Yog is a handmade churn aged probiotic yogurt made on a working dairy farm in Kent, with milk fresh from a small herd of 85 Friesian cows, all known by name.

An all natural probiotic yogurt Yog is available in five flavours, Natural, Passion Fruit, Summer Berries, Pomegranate and Dark Choclate.

Yog is sold in 500ml pots in Waitrose, Wholefoods, Tesco and online at Ocado as well as a number of independent deli’s and farm shops. Yog is also available in 172ml pot size with its own spoon in the lid.

Meet the Business Owner

Founders, Es and Rebecca M.

Business Owner

Es and Rebecca, the young couple who founded Yog in 2007 are passionate about real natural yogurt. They believe in provenance, so Yog has a working dairy farm in Kent where its milk is handmade and churn-aged. This not only ensures the distinctive and consistent taste of Yog frozen yogurt but also its freshness.

Es is of Cypriot origin so yogurt was part of his staple diet as a child. This enthusiastic Savile Row trained entrepreneur previously had a successful tailoring business making bespoke suits for hundreds of private clients.

Rebecca has a strong marketing background and is responsible for turning Yog into the sought after brand it is today.

They have a joint love of fresh food and were determined to create a yogurt that was super healthy, super satisfying and makes you feel good.

Five years on Yog has twelve stores and has launched its takehome range into Waitrose, Wholefoods, Tesco and online at Ocado as well as a number of independent deli’s and farm shops.
